Did u solve your problem? I have the same problem with you
Solution
I recently ran into the same problem swapping to a new housing. As it turns out the housing I bought did not come with the magnet needed for the phone to recognize that the keyboard had been slid out. Just take the magnet from the old housing and attach it to the new housing. See the below link for pictures.

[Q] Problems after replacing screen, need help

Hey guys, so I had dropped my phone and shattered the screen on the top left and there was a crack down the middle. Anyways, I ordered a replacement and replaced it..and low and behold, either I did a bad job or somethings up with the ribbon from the replacement screen. When I turn it on, the screen will display this weird static and I can see the mikmik splash screen (Newts RLS6.0), then it'll go black. I guess once the phone goes into sleep mode I can turn the screen back on with no problems. But, here's my main problem..I can't get into amon ra without the screen completely being messed up. I'm a flashaholic and this is terrible for me. Does anyone know how to fix the problem itself, or is there a way I can flash ROMs through PC? (S-Off). Thank you guys in advance

Dell Streak 5 Problem: White lines across the screen

Hello! Everyone.
am in desperate need of help. A white line across the screen of my DS5 suddenly appeared. Sometimes it's not there but more often than not it's there. Especially when I'm using a reading app or it is in the lock screen. Plus, when I reboot it, while rebooting, the white line is visible.
really don't know what's wrong with the screen. I read a lot of the problems the DS5 has and all the problems that learned seems not applicable in my case.
attached some of the pictures. hope you can see the white lines clearly. Hope to get some answers on what it is and what are the steps or options to do in order to fix the problem. It is not that a big issue on other people, however, I'm not comfortable about it and find it really annoying. It would be great if you guys can point me the right direction.
Thanks you so much!

So your suggesting that it is not a dead pixel? or the hardware (screen) can be fixed? Thanks!

I just did. The white line is still there.
There are two possible causes of this:
1. A fault in the ribbon cable.
2. A fault in the LCD itself.
A fault in the ribbon cable could be related to the connection to the motherboard or a break in one of the lines. LCD displays have tiny transistors at the edges of the screen which control the on/off state of the pixels. Sometimes they get stuck. If this is the cause of your problem, then it appears that yours is getting stuck in the "on" state, resulting in the white line.
Your options are few: purchase a used Streak with a good display and bad motherboard to swap parts with, purchase a working device and put yours up on ebay, or purchase a replacement LCD display and glass.

S3 Screen Upside down after replacement - Help!

Hi Guys,
After replacing the lcd and digitizer on my S3, the display is appearing upside down?
The touch screen works as if it is the right way round, but the lcd is displaying as if it is upside down.
I've also tried another lcd/digitizer and got the same results!
Is there any way to solve this? Even if it involves using ADB or the likes?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
software has nothing to do with this ( i believe ) ,you connected the display wrong .
Are you sure you bought the original display ?

Broken screen, phone is still working but need software help ( if possible)

Guys,
unfortunately I broke my phone's screen. the damage is very little,it is not disturbing. but, there is a cyan line appeard around my notch, which is very annoying. My phone's screen is sometimes vibrating as well.
Do you know how can I disable my top part of the screen? (turn off, while the bottom part is working) just a few pixels where the damage is located. Is it something kernel related, am I right? Do i have any other options to solve it without replacing the whole glass?
cheers
