I want to my current rom G9650ZHU3ARK1 flash into G9650ZCU3ARK1 , lots of tutorials in the internet said that I don't have to turn off the OEM lock. I think that is because I didn't turn off it. I use odin 1.13.1 and ADB is installed, and after odin started progress, it shows me failed .
Then I have to reboot my phone, but there's a warning "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recover function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried Smart Switch but no device shows in the emergency software recovery option .
And now my phone can't even shutdown, or can't enter downloading mode anymore. or recovery mode ( volume up + bixby + power ) , the only thing that it can do is reboot into error interface.
I don't know how to recover my phone, anyone can help me? please.

Hi. I'm new to here so please i appreciate any help you can give .
So the story is... I own a samsung galaxy gio S5660 (i have Android 2.2.1 ) and i wanted to flash a custom rom on it. Well i forgot that i had to root it, so i just flashed the CWM recovery on it and now i cant get into the recovery, the samsung logo just stays. The phone works, it boots up but only not in the recovery mode :s. Also, i cant root from the pc either because i get unknown device, i installed kies, reinstalled the drivers... I get the error : Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). It charges via usb but doesnt connect as storage or something like that :/ i cant figure out what to do. The root programs dont recognize/find the device so am i screwed or what :s. I know i was stupid that i didnt think about the root. I've done the rooting on a tablet many times so i dont know why i forgot to do it :s

I did a factory reset with the code from the phone and now its stuck on the samsung logo :s. It enters download mode and fastboot but the most important problem is that the pc doesnt recognize the device so i cant use odin or any similar program to flash a new recovery on it :s. Is there anything i could do?
I tried reinstalling the drivers multiple times.
I tried on 2 laptops and 1 desktop but it's all the same :S.

Prepare ODIN with the firmware you want to flash (in my case was Gingerbread 2.3.4) and get it ready to go.

Remove battery, wait for a bit. Insert battery again.

Flash a recovery with your specific filesystem (EXT4 or RFS)-(If you have EXT4, download ext4 only, don't get ext4+rfs)

Enter recovery & Wipe | Format:
System
Data
Cache
Dalvik Cache
Have ODIN ready. Connect phone to PC.

Reboot to Download Mode
Hold Volume down + Power + Home button at the same time.

At this point Odin should have detected your Galaxy Gio (Yellow rectangle should appear).

Insert the Stock Rom or Custom Rom.

Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.

Thanks for answering, but i cant enter recovery as i mentioned early and also odin doesnt detect my phone in download mode :s. When the samsung logo just stays i plug also the usb in then the pc says it cannot recognize the device and its listed as unknown which i before also mentioned. When i attempt to enter recovery it just also stays at the samsung logo and isnt entering it :s..

Hello guys, i tried to root my S6 edge 5.1.1 but i got trouble .
I found a tutorial and i did this things :
1: enter download mode
2: use odin to run twrp_5.1.1_edge.tar as AP.
After that i got and error on the screen : An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software.
I tryed to use it but it doesnt recognize the phone..
I tryed to reboot it (Vol down + Power + middle button) and it reboot again in donwload mode with that message on it.
Any one got any solution please?
Use odin to flash stock firmware. Will work after that. Had same problem with mine
After a failed try to install a wrong version of twrp (since there is no version for my model available) I flashed to stock rom and now I cannot enter recovery mode. When I press vol down and power up it enters meta mode. Can someone help?
Also a second problem I am facing but I believe I can fix it by being able to enter recovery mode again :/
Even more so every factory data of my phone has been delete imei,sn,pn I know how to fix imei but nothing else.
That's the reason I want to root my phone to fix all those problems and it has to be Magisk cause I want to play pokemon go in the device ^^;

OK so i was doing a frp unlock i flashed the combination for factory binary everything went well. Then i put it in debug mode and then put it in download mode so i started to flash 8.0.0 from sammobile.Yes i flashed my right one. It got through like half way then the BIG FAIL ugggggggg now my s8 wont do anything but go into the blue screen that says, an error has occured while updating the device software use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC sofware. nothing worked hard reset. I have samsung A5 2017. When i start my phone it shows no command and it continues to restart after 1 minute.
When i try to open recovery mode i get error "fail to open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)". I have also tried combination of key power and volume up but not getting recovery mode. I think it has been deleted or something else. I am also unable to load firmware.
I also tried to install twrp with odin 3.13 but get error unable to install frp locked.
Please tell me solution how can i get back recovery mode so that i can install firmware.
Please help me for this.

I'm very curious about solving the issue on mine (I can't reboot at all, can't even access the reboot after getting the "no command" message. If you have any clue on how you accessed reboot mode and can be kind enough to share, this would be really appreciated )
I know this is an old thread, but did you find a solution?
On an unlocked J6, after flashing the stock rom, although I can open recovery, I get the same message. The options I tried (both reboot options, both wipe options, power off) work. I went ahead and installed twrp through odin, which passed, but when I boot into recovery, it boots into samsung recovery (with the same message) and not twrp.
I'm guessing the twrp problem is related to the error message.
