Skilled hacker needed: ZenPad z370c and WW_13.6.2.24 for z370KL - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I almost know the answer to the question, but having 100s of these z370c in my business, I thought I will give it a shot.
I am in the need to upgrade these models to android os 6 or higher, and I know that asus did not release the update for this model, but they did for what it appears to be a VERY CLOSE match: the z370KL
Is anyone out there able to hack the firmware for the z370KL and make it work for the z370c?
If there is, I would definitely reward that person for his talent.
Kind regards,
Marco

[Q] List of Android device manufacturers and models?

Hey guys!
Seeming as I'm working on a project, for XDA, I need to know, what manufacturers, models and their OSs are.
As I'm pretty busy coding, and I couldn't find a list online, I was going to ask, if you could all give me a list of manufacturers (Except:
Code:
Samsung
Google
Asus
Motorola
LG Electronics
hTC
Huawei
ZTE
Sony
)
If there are any, and their models.
I am not in a hush, but I need this information in three weeks, at the latest
I hope I'm not being abknoxious, or arrogant, in any way. I'm just planning something real big, which every Android user could need at some point in time.
Many thanks in advance to those, who are investing their precious time in answering this thread!!
Android LIST

Posibility of earning money from finding exploit in samsung phones and tables?

Hi all,
sorry if this is under wrong topic, I don't know where elsewhere to put it.
If for example someone finds where important security issue in samsung phones and tablets is it possible to sell that information to samsung and would that be legal?
I know there is bug bounty programs, but I don't think something like that, more like direct contact to samsung and negotiating terms, is something like that possible?
And no I didn't find and 0-day/whatever , this topic is more an academic research on it, I would like to know is there any benefit for someone who finds such a thing to get it to samsung or will black market be the first thing to reach out.
Are generally Android based producers strive to get information about their issues or they don't care at all.... this is the question....

Please help me get this thing upgraded

Howdy,
So, I have a Toshiba AT200 tablet that uses android 4.0.3 and I'm disabled currently jumping through all the hoops for SSI. In the meantime I been using the usertesting app to make enough money to cover my rent & internet barely. Trouble is, they just discontinued support for android versions older than 5.0 so I need to upgrade it to android 5 or 6. Since I have no real clue how to do much of anything on android other than install and run stuff from the play store, I called Toshiba for help and was told that they don't offer a manufacturer update to higher android versions but that I could easily google an unofficial one that is completely legal.
Well, after the last 5 hours of trying, 3 system crashes, 21 removals of trojans by windows defender and malwarebytes, and I-have-no-idea how many 'surveys' & 'offers' completions trying to unlock downloads; I STILL don't have a working upgrade.
PLEASE help me! I need this done to continue earning enough money to pay my rent & internet.
Thanks,
Robert
that's a copy that I posted two weeks ago in the assist forums and never got a response till today telling me to put it here. I've done more searching since first posting, but still haven't found anything working (and ended up with some gomail.ru hijacker thing which I've tried repeatedly to remove but can't seem to fully get rid of it) so please help ASAP! two weeks is way too long to not make any income... I'm prolly gonna be late for internet this month.
Thanks,
Robert
Why won't anyone help me? Is it unclear what device it is? AT200 is what it lists in the 'about' section in the tablet settings menu, but what it shows up as when I put the serial number into the Toshiba website is Excite AT205-T16I
I still need help with this thing PLEASE! am I still asking in the wrong place?
As I know, the upgrade of androi up to your device. If It announce to upgrade, it means that you can do it. If not, you can't
What? I'm sorry but I don't understand what you tried to say. The Toshiba rep told me to google 'toshiba at200 custom rom lollipop' though I really don't know what that means... and I've tried multiple times but always end up with either a bunch of malware to get rid of or one of those 'complete survey or offer to unlock download' things which never work. I found a site with pretty understandable instructions on how to complete the upgrade and got some kinda rooting tool, but it doesn't help me without having this 'apk rom' that it talks about and doesn't give any links on the instruction page.
Regrettably, there aren't any options to update your device. There are 2 ways to upgrade, either via updates put out by the manufacturer, or via a custom version of android (referred to as a "rom") that is compiled from a source code such as the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or CyanogenMod (CM). For devices that didn't sell well or weren't of significant interest to the developer community, custom updates aren't usually an option as it takes a considerable amount of time and skill to update a device beyond what the manufacturer puts out due to differences in the system as well as drivers on newer versions of android.

Help please

Hi Guys I have been a long time lurker of the XDA forums and have had quite a bit of success installing and using the roms I have found here.
Right now I am in need of some help and I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I have a Tablet that I purchased from Ali Express it goes by the name "CARBAYSTAR T7" I have no idea what this really is. When I trace the IMEI it comes back as a Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562)
It has been a great little device but I have recently become involved in testing some of our new security products at work and NEED to flash this strange little tablet to at least 6.0.1 marshmallow (7.0 or higher would be better)
Has anyone here had any dealings with this tablet in the past or do any of you know anyone that might have ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Upgrading an Azpen A1040

Hello everyone. I recently inherited an Azpen A1040, which came with KitKat (4.4.2) preinstalled. According to a link at CoolTechLine, which I can't include because this is my first XDA post, there’s a Marshmallow ROM available for the A1040.
Unfortunately, the only way to access said ROM is to complete a series of surveys, or agree to be involved in various retail promotions. As interested as I am in the ROM, I’m in no hurry to do either.
With all that said, I have two questions I’m hoping somebody can help me with.
1) Assuming the ROM is legitimate, does anyone know where else I can download it? I couldn’t find it on Azpen’s website.
2) If not, perhaps there’s a ROM from another manufacturer I could use? From what I can tell, this exact tablet, which is likely manufactured by a third party, is also offered by other, low cost tablet/phone companies.
Thank you for reading this.
