Awesome Pop-up Video is a video player unlike others. It plays the video in pop-up window, floating above other applications, just like on your computer. Some even call it "Picture-in-Picture mode".

Why Awesome Pop-up Video is special?
When you watch video in applications like Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, Google Chrome or standard Browser, Vine etc. you will get notification to pop-out the currently being played video or directly download the video on your device.
Combine this with "Heads Up Notifications" Xposed module or other with this feature and you will be able to pop-out videos in one tap.
*Note: This will not work for applications that have implemented custom video player like VLC, MX Player etc.

Download it from Google Play, it is half the size because it has binaries just for your CPU architecture, not like the attached apk in Xposed repo, which has both armv7 and x86 architectures.

Nice Module, i really like it. Well implemented and easy to use.
I have 2 additional Questions though.
1. YouTube seems to be limited to 1080p Playback, why don't go higher? I realize the differnce is not really visible in the little Pop Up Windows, but if it's possible why not!?
2. Any way to get back to the Fullscreen Video (App), e.g. back in YouTube with some sort of a Button!?
I've noticed when I played your demo video from imdb it didn't continue playing with the screen off even though I have that selected. Sorry no debug available.
Also I can't seem to change the download location.

Really good app just a few suggestions
1. To hide video completly and enable only sound. For example if i wana hear a music clip but i dont want to see the video, there could be a button to switch to sound only.
2. Youtube app to work with screen off that would be amazing.
3. A button to return to the youtube app video

Changing download location is not yet available, but it will be in future.

It works perfectly with youtube, but which chrome i got problems. When i watch a video (for example on streamcloud) then awesome pop-up force closes.

And upon further testing there seems to be no problem works flawless. Also I'm able to get background playback with YouTube while the screens off with the xda module -YouTube background playback- think you could get the source code from github and implement it into this module.

chrome has custom implementation for some videos like on youtube page, i will check with streamcloud. Try using standard browser.

YouTube background playback is intentionally disabled due to violation of YouTube terms: https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms and it will cause my application to be removed from the Play Store.

Eventually this app may be pulled off regardless on the Play Store. Look at what happened to TubeMate. And with the new YouTube music subscription coming out they'll be even more strict. I'm glad you made this for xposed however.

I love the app, How simple it is to pop up a video.
But I am having serious rendering issues. So far everything from youtube app to browser videos are skipping 2-6 seconds in frames or just stops like it's buffering then plays for 30 seconds max then stops again.
I have a Samsung galaxy s4 Active 4.4.2 stock

You should buy the golden ticket and then upgrade your Internet service. No issues here at all
Ok so, there's definitely a playback issue. Doesn't seem to happen all the time. Least for me
And crashes in snapchat. Maybe you should have a default preset apps instead of having them all selected. Idk just a thought. Might very some other apps that will crash it.
Also on dolphin browser, if flash player is enabled, Doesn't let me pop out the video, there's no notification for it.
Hi, is there a way to play YouTube videos on full-screen including notch? If you pinch in, the video is resized only that notch is black, I want it resized to 'true' full-screen including notch. It would be quite nice for 21:9 videos. Thanks for answers.

I use Google photos to store all my photos in cloud but it lags while scrolling through the photos in Google Photos app but this doesn't happen in Honor gallery app
Had the same problem. Is way more smooth if you set display on lower resolution. Don't have problems with other google apps.
Hi friends,to stop this lag issue in Google photos in Honor 8x,you have to enable the developer options and what you have to do is just set the window animation, transition animation and animator duration scale to (1.5x) that's it.

I was playing game and it's looking too dark so I use enhanched visual feature in game mode.
My brain was clicked as the though why I don't use this for HDR video.
[Pre-test]
Run youtube or any hdr video. You will see a lot of HDR clipping and the sence is dark af.

You need to made sure the application removed from videotool box list first.
Then add that application to game mode.
Then you play HDR video again => At this point nothing change.
Then you change the enhanched visual feature, suddenly all the hdr clipping gone. (The visual effect not applied at all, it just reset something than HDR working as it should, vola!)
But everytime you play another HDR, you need to hit the enhanced visual button again.
[Alwasy no HDR clipping]
Here is the catch. You go to the setting of game turbo instead, and set it always enhanced!
From now you can enjoy your hdr video as much as you can.
[What the catch?]
Non HDR content will be applied the visual effect you picked. :<
Dolby Audio will not work anymore.
Note. It's only made some sort of reset in background, no visual effect applied to your hdr video, so the quality not downgrade anyway.
I will put a video to demonstrate step by step tomorrow.
