Hello, I have a Moto X4 Android 9 and I would like to change the white colour of the Chrome Search Bar widget by a transparent one, or black, for example.
Would it be possible to do this, like the image that I have attached and I have seen surfing this website for a Moto X4 Android 9.0 ?.

Not without installing a different launcher.
Nova Launcher (latest) should do it (without unlocking BL or root, etc.) with stock rom. My Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite running Android One Pie, stock is happy with Nova Laucher ... more ways to tweek & customize homescreen, grid layout, etc. Very good experience & results with NL before I sold the Nexus 6 and traded the Nexus 6P into Google Fi for the Moto X4. Once set, the layout can be locked & backed up, etc.
Lawnchair is the other Launcher that also work on the XM A2Lite.

I'm a designer and have put together a concept of a Google Search Widget that I wouldn't mind sitting on my home screen. I've integrated styles from other parts of the UI so that it'll fit more seamlessly into the user experience.
I've never developed for Android before but have done a lot of background reading and am aware of the various \res\drawable images I'll need to replace. My question is whether or not I'll be able to replace those images without rooting my device, using ASTRO for example?
Also, is it a simple case of replacing the \res\drawable images and it working or is there more to it?
I've got a locked bootloader and don't want to unlock it, so am waiting for ICS and a hopeful way to root with a locked bootloader then.

I am on resurrection remix 5.1.1 KitKat 4.4.2 , i want to change my lock handle icon on my android 4.4.2 can any one help me how to do that.
I found several articles but all of them seem to be for ICS and JB
The Metamorph tool also does not seem to support 4.3+ ROMS
Search for XBlast Tools. There's a thread for it here in xda, and you'll need xposed framework too.

Thanks for your inputs I tried xlocky which is used internally by xblast but that module did not help me with changing my lock ring on kitkat Roms the paths have changed with kitkat it seems.
I have also asked in xblast thread if it should work for kitkat just to be sure

cannot apply the theme, even with theme developer account using Xiaomi Redmi 4X.
getting following error: "Themes from third-party sources are not supported error: download|auth rejected 408"
