Poco F1: Google Camera does not work on Lineage OS 16.0 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have a Poco F1 device with Lineage 16.0 OS with the OpenGApps ARM 64 -> micro. I tried a lot of GoogleCamera APKs and none are working for my device. It is lagging when I just open the app, the only version which works for me "well" is the "LGN2_MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V1d.apk" and "LGW2_MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V1d.apk" BUT the Night Sight function is not working as well... it is bugging for only opening the function. I tried to fix it with the Magisk Mask "Night Lib Fix for Mi8 Google Camera" but nothing changes. Can someone help me or has the same problem?

It doesn't work for me at all... It just start lagging when opening the app, I don't know why...

I use nano gapps. Maybe you can try to flash another gapps version or maybe reflash the rom.

Go to recommended settings in the google camera thread and find the "fix" section. Had the same issue with you.

Is your vendor firmware up to date? It might be that which is causing the issue?

It was always the latest one which you could get, the last time I changed it was the 10.01.2019 with the latest Lineage OS 16.0 and the Gapps micro-pack.

bKash app not opening (FC on first try) on PIE roms

this app working fine on Nougat Roms.
on PIE roms, it FC on first try. (with or without rooting)
can anybody find a fix
it's a mobile banking app
I don't really understand the problem, no error message, no rom version (there are a lot of pie roms), rooted or not, if rooted magisk or supersu, which nougat rom was the one u used (and the same other questions after)...
So here is my idea for solution (banking apps are allergic to any signs of rooting)
Did you try magisk hide?
try installing webview from google play, it might help some apps that need the webview api

problem: app force close without even opening.
error message: app has stopped/ keeps stopping
root: clean install of rom+gapps: app force close
clean install of rom, no gapps: same result
rom+gapps+magisk: same result
hide app in magisk manager: same result
nougat rom: i tried with LOS, AEX, app works good.
pie rom: tried with LOS, NOS, havoc & few others: force close
if u want i can give u logcat
another thing i'd like to add: the app was running on pie good, then the app was updated, after that it kept crashing.
when i install the old version, app opens but it asks to update to latest version otherwise it won't work.
one of my friends has MI A1 which is running on Pie
(official stock rom), app runs fine on his device
it probably has something to do with selinux set to permissive on most pie roms, you could try the citrus rom which uses enforcing selinux.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-citrus-caf-5-x-keylimepie-t3882979
if that doesn't work then no idea what the problem could be..
looking at logcat it seem to be complaining about seccomp disabled by setenforce 0 , so yea most likely some kind of security check.

Hello there,
I have also faced this problem on my Xiaomi Redmi 6A when I collect this app from my Friends phone by Shareit. This time I can't do anything on this app. After that I have Download bkash app latest version from this website. Then I install it again on my phone. I am surprised! This app successfully open on my phone. So I recommend you to download the new version from official website or Google Play store.
Note: This is Financial app only for Bangladeshi users who customer of Bkash. bkash official website is bkash.com
Thanks
Please Xda-developers Fix pixel experience ROM of redmi Note 4.
I have seen in bug on pixel experience ROM. When I install Bkash application from play store but it isn't working. It says force closed.
Please fix this bug from pixel experience ROM of redmi Note 4 or 4x.
Thank you
Same problem with all pie custom rom. It's frustrating. I've contacted bKash, provided them with logcat. They only replied blindly that Any phone above KitKat would run the app. Stupid customer service.
Same problem. The app used to work fine in any ROM based on MM, Nougat. Root, Magisk, Xposed also wasn't an issue. When I upgraded to pie, the app stopped working. I tried different Pie ROMs and Custom Karnels. The app force closes every time. I even tried on a fresh ROM with no root, magisk, xposed or anything. Same result. SELenux is permissive. Searching for a solution for months. :'(

NOT WORKING on MIUI roms - it seems that on MIUI they have disabled the camera access/configuration on newer versions, they even removed the CIT IR camera test.... Maybe with root there is a way to reconfigure miui to allow the two new cameras to work, still investigating, if someone has an idea i would love to know
sorry
Works very well on Nitrogen. It could be useful, thanks for this!

That might cause the problem. Stock version of gapps come with Google Camera which may interfere with your gcam apk. Try installing packages which don't include Google Camera, such as pico, nano, micro, mini or full.

It's the one before all night shot got introduced (it's a Pixel 2 port) but all features work as intended (camera, video, slow-mo, portrait, front and back flash) all stable and nice picture quality.
You'll need to uninstall the GCam apk that's pre-installed in the device.

If you mean mine, then I'll look at it (not around my PC right now). Meanwhile LOS official already has their own motorized cam hook implementation thanks to Zenfone 6.
EDIT: As you can see TingyiChen's build is already here. Probably don't need this anymore?

Hi, same problem here, LOS 17, K20 Pro. Please guys, point me in the right direction.
I used GCam to switch to front cam, then switched to video, GCam glitched and switched to back cam but never retracted the front cam. I have no idea how to retract it now, reboots, the magisk module from this thread, using other camera apps to switch back and forth -- none of the approaches worked. Maybe I can issue something through ADB to retract it?

Samsung A02s runs on 32-bit firmware.
But, it also supports 64-bit firmware, which means you can install almost any GSI Custom ROM since it supports treble.
Haven't tried installing one yet but will test and see if I can do it.

Have you been able to install Gapps on it? I got my twrp from this and got my gApps from NikGapps since the original one doesn't have Gapps for Android 13.
But when flashing it, I got an 'insufficient space' error. When doing some research, I found out that the /data partition can be resized to give space to /system and /product for it to be able to install.
But there doesn't seems to be an option to resize it. Tried with resize2fs but got an error saying that the block specified doesn't exist.

Sadly nope, installing gapp on an Android 13 GSIs on this device is pretty hard. Tried numerous flavors but to no avail. LiteGApps is kinda working for me but the Play Store only shows No Internet Access, it can be substitute with Aurora Store tho (but it would be nice if it works). Other than Play Store, everything seems to work fine.
Installing GSIs with gapps preinstalled has Google app always crashing (one GSI I used shows that its using a arm64 build of Google app which will obviously crash on our a64 devices). I guess things would be much better if a custom rom or an arm64 TWRP and kernel was built specifically for this device.
The kinda stable GSI I found so far in this device was LineageOS 19.1 a64 bgN. Google apps works flawlessly but universalsafetynetfix was causing the system to crash so F.

Yeah I was also having this issue. I was wondering what was causing the crash lol.
It seems that no SafetyNet fixing method is working. I even tried the built-in option to spoof the device properties for safetynet to work in TrebleDroid Lineage OS 20 but this also made the device crash.

Have you tried the one with normal vndk aka lineage-19.1-20230112-UNOFFICIAL-a64_bgN.img.xz?
Edit : Tried it and it worked without any issue!

There's no ROMs for it. Only GSIs can be used for now.

Works fine for me. Did you flash the right image?

Found a fix for the No internet access issue. All you have to do is go into the app's info in Settings and go to Mobile data and WiFi and give it internet access.
The Gapps Integration I'm using is BitsGapps which supports arm devices and Android 13. I installed it through Magisk. But it can also be flashed through TWRP.
But LiteGapps is also good.
A fix for the no space issue when trying to flash Gapps is flashing a GSI Image that's 1GB or 500MB (Depends on how much free space you want) larger than the image through fastboot and then flashing the Lineage OS image through TWRP.
TWRP doesn't resize partitions when flashing an image (which leads to some free space remaining) but fastboot does. This gave me the idea to do this and it worked.
Now I have a working Android 13 GSI with Gapps working flawlessly!
