Hi all
I have not been here for a long time, there were many different projects.
For the last 2 months my main priority has been to run the pie on tab s3. It was not very easy. First, I spent a lot of time on sensors, then I spent 2 weeks on the caf kernel, and then a huge amount of time on the ril. a week ago everything was ready, but there were big problems with stability, as a result, after 20-30 builds, today I managed to solve all the problems. I tested the firmware a bit, it looks exactly the way I wanted - everything is fast and smooth.

This is great. Thank you!
Any chance you can build for t820?

Why don't we have android 9.0 for Tab S3? That. Is my question.

Thank you very much for your work on the T825 and congratz on solving the issues!
Sadly I'm another one of those hijacking T820 users. I'd be very happy to help you bring your work to the T820, too. If you need somebody to test T820 builds: please feel free to contact me.

The official one ui update for the tab s3 will come only and the end of the year

Thank you so much for your hard work @Valera1978, please do not abandon the project, you are doing a great job for us all owners of galaxy tab s3

Great job! Thank you so much!
I was waiting for this great news.

Hi,
this ROM is great, very smooth and stable - thank you very much.
The only thing which doesn't work is USB-OTG
I tried to bypass with android.hardware.usb.host.xml, i tried the OTG-Enabling Module for Magisk, but no USB-Device is recognized by the tablet - except the connected Windows-PC.
Also in TWRP USB-OTG does not work.
Does anybody know a workaround?

Looks like the OP is a post and go

Maybe just not the time to check in here or reply daily. We will see.

Now I installed crDroid, same error. Therefore, I think the error is actually TWRP. After installing TWRP, the tablet stops responding to plugged-in USB devices, except the PC ...

Yes, sorry was hard last week, and worked on weekend.
Time was only for release note pro 12.2 pie.
Few notes about tablet t820 (wifi version):
I have another tablet (tab a t585) - it's exynos 7870 and lte\wifi version completely the same. Differ only in gps.
But with t820\825 all much-much more harder. Time ago we (i'm and bonuzzz) tried to merge vendor for both tablets, but no luck.
Samsung made different vendor, initial scripts, links. Without tablet I cann't do anything.
Good news: most likely in March I will get a t820 and I will have few weeks for bring lineage too.

Thx for clarifying the difficulties! And thx for making hope....so good news! I'm really lookwing forward - as the S3 seems to be the last Samsung 4:3 device, it deserves passion

Thank you for the rom, i am really happy with it! It works perfect for daily use, no major battery drain, pen works too! Two minor bugs:
1. The tablet freezes and restarts after display wake up if you only enter the sim pin after restart but not the unlock pin.
2. The tablet always wakes up with the same luminance.
It is so much faster than the Samsung garbage...

Wow man, I just dusted off my Tab S3 that has been collecting dust since it came out... Amazing job, just amazing! Thanks. The tablet is finally useable.

Just a quick question: why CM11 and not CM12+? Was it because of kernel limitations?
Regardless, thanks immensely for your time. Hopefully it works. Cheers mate

- Yes you're right, went for CM-11 it's easier due to having a working recovery
- I thought about CM-12 but the risk is high of producing a bricked device
- If you flash a non-working 5.1.1 system and haven't got a recovery which you can reflash with then instant brick

nice work,thanks:good:
Very awesome to see the first ROM. Great job!

Installed successfully! Thanks mate! Much faster than the Amazon Lollipop, and more storage free!
Worth noting that xposed does not work, as well as videos, camera, and bluetooth. Lots of issues with Google Now crashing as well. Seems pretty buggy atm, but definitely feels great—a speedy upgrade over the amazon stock.
Nice! I hope it becomes official. (If that's how it works )
BTW I can confirm that Stock GApps have enough space to install, compared to the stock Amazon system.
EDIT: REALIZED I SHOULD HAVE EDITED MY LAST POST INSTEAD

3 Days Testing Report
Firstly, i really appreciate for your work, ggow! That's the best first build what i'd ever tested, so smooth, didn't expected such a nice performance. Successfully installed SuperSU and GApps (pico). Picked up flash drive to OTG, worked perfectly, not worse then in Fire OS. With disabled lockscreen, my Fire wakes up and locks impressively fast. Made a proper wifi speedtests and very satisfied - speed is increased, compared to Fire OSes (4.x and 5.x) - from 43 mbps (max) to 51 mbps (max) with my cheap 741nd home router. All's ok with Spotify. As described, Youtube isn't working, Bluetooth service is crashing after boot. Tried few camera apps and it still cannot take photo. There is an areas, what you may look to focus on. Audio output is extremely low with headphones, tried different ones, from speaker volume is normal. Audio recording seems not working. In MXPlayer, HW video decoding isn't working. Also, there are rebooting problems - it performs not every time, rebooting to recovery isn't performs for me at all (Fire is just shuts down), interface rebooting is ok. I'm exited for the next builds. I think it's good that you develop CM11 Rom, because higher versions are not that good on low memory devices like this, and yes, 872 mb is not a big amount in 2015. Would be good to see newer versions in the future, but i'm still very happy with KitKat!

Just to let you know, even though the Youtube app doesn't work, the website does, and it works pretty well. (Using Chrome here)
Thank you for doing this. I actually use your Apollo ROMs for myself. FireOS is garbage, but I wasn't willing to destroy one of the kid's devices while I muddled around. This gives me hope!

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][6.0.1][SGP712/SGP771] ResurrectionRemix for Xperia Z4 Tablet[Alpha]

ResurrectionRemix M for Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Wifi and LTE (SGP712/SGP771)
Code:
Your warranty may be voided ! I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.
Issues:
- Back camera focus: image is blurred and color problem (waiting for new AOSP blobs from Sony)
- Minor bug with led while charging
- No FM radio
- Tell me what you find !
How to install
- Unlock your bootloader (you can save your TA partition before)
- Update your firmware to the last Marshmallow version (needed to update the bootloader, kernel will not boot if you use the Lollipop bootloader)
- Install AndroPlus kernel and TWRP
- Make a backup
- Push the rom's zip to the SD card (optionnaly with gapps)
- Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik cache
- Install the rom (and gapps if you want)
- Reboot
- Enjoy, and give me a feedback
Advice: You can use TWRP from Androplus before installing the rom. But it will not work with cyanogenmod/ResurrectionRemix kernel.
So, after installing the rom, you can use TWRP made for CM kernel (see the link bellow) and press vol+ at boot, or keep AndroPlus TWRP and use "fastboot boot boot.img", were boot.img is AndroPlus kernel.
Edit : my TWRP for CM seem to has a bug with touchscreem randomly not working, you can reboot the tablet with Power-Vol+ until the touchscreen works (it doesn't stop working after boot, it just works well or not at all), or use the fastboot method with AndroPlus Kernel.
I will solve this problem when I'll have the time.

Questions
- Please, avoid asking things like: how to flash this rom, what is fastboot, …
There is enough documentation on XDA and others websites. You also probably should not use this rom if you don’t know how to recover a bricked device with fastboot and flashtool.
- I’m not a professional devlopper, I don’t receive payement for this, so don’t ask for ETA, for make a rom for an other devices, …
- I only have a wifi only Z4 tablet, I make a LTE version, but since I don’t own this tablet it’s not possible for me to debug like on my wifi tablet.

No, I don't know about the Nexus 6P guy .
I hope to make a version for LTE one day, and for CyanogenMod too.
There is a problem with the cm rom I tried for the LTE version making it unusable. Since I don't have a LTE tablet, I'm waiting to have more informations from people with the SGP771 who tried this rom (I need at least a logcat, and I will see what I can do ).
This other big problem for the roms (AOSP, CM, RR, ...) is currently the camera. It's the same for almost all recent Sony devices, we're waiting new binaries from Sony to fix this. And there is the usb otg to fix too.
But the remaining seem to work pretty well

If we want to acheive the result, we should help andralex. I think our task is to install cm again and get logcat via adb.
But will it work om brokem cm? Is root access required for logcat?
Is there any plans to develop a customized stock version?

Good question! I think it don't need root, the logcat command worked for me as a simple user. The adb server should be already started on the tablet at the step when the rom crash, the only problem could be the secure debugging (you need to accept the computer's RSA key to have adb working). I don't know if the dialog will appeared, or if it will be possible to accept if the Trebuchet error stay on top.
It's possible to disable this security on build time, I will make that if it's not possible to accept the key.

Not for the moment. I'm focusing on the roms built from sources. Maybe later if it's not possible to get fully working cm/rr roms (e.g. camera never works), but I don't think so.
Well, hope never dies.

It's not tested right now, but the CyanogenMod version for SGP771 works, so it should works .
I'll update the thread tomorow to support SGP771 (unless you tell me it's not working).

Thanks for creating the build for the SGP771!
I installed it a few hours ago on my device and, so far, seems stable and quite like it.
Please let me know if I can help you with the SGP771 testing (feedback, logs, etc). I'm very inexperienced in the build process but always willing to learn.

I only now tested the SIM card slot and it does not even recognise when there is a card inserted, even after rebooting the device.

Thank your for testing .
Could you send me a logcat with the SIM card inserted to see where this problem come from ?
@alex009988, I checked your logcat, it seem that on CyanogenMod the tablet can connect to mobile network (at least I saw a HSPA/3G+ connection and the device got an ip address from this network before connecting to wifi), can you confirm ?
Hi. Sim card works well, it can make calls and go online. I confirm it.
Interesting. I think it's not a bug, but maybe feature of aosp Sony sourses. So, IMHO, doesn't need to be fixed.
Cm on my tyblet calls all networks by the same name.
A attached screenshots from spg771 and xiaomi redmi note 2. My operator is tele2 on both devices.
PS I haven't checked for LTE cuz it's a bit far from my home. But I guess it should work.

I generated a logcat with a SIM card inserted and started the logging as soon as the system was up.
During the 3 or 4 min captured in the log I also extracted and inserted the SIM tray immediately after, in order to check if any event was logged.
I will also go through the log to see if there is anything obvious.
Hope this helps!
Sorry, duplicate post.

How did you flash the ROM? With androplus recovery and factory reset(wipe)? Are you sure that sim card is not broken? With stock ROM, does it work? I think it's kinda impossible that one man have no problem with sim card and another have it with the same device.

I never got to try the SIM card slot while in stock ROM. Even though I have an LTE version it's not a feature I use.
Yes, I used TWRP: cleaned system, data and both cache partitions. Then had to side load the .zip file as I didn't have a micro SD card available. The installation was successful.
Prior to this I had installed an AOSP ROM compiled by me following Sony's instructions. However, as written before, all partitions were wiped before installing RR.
Just for my understanding: you have an SGP771 using this build of RR and your SIM card slot works?

Aliendalvik not dalvik that's first. Aliendalvik is avaliable only for official devices, it just happened to work on kinzie too (just needed to change some file). I was planning to port anbox for this and any other device but it's currently almost not working and it's hard :/
How do i choose devices? Well i love motorolas because they're very very easy to port so i'm sure they will work. I'm throwing away brands that i hate/i know sfos would not work on them. My 2 crowdfunding campaigns covers moto x style and huawei p8 lite it was almost choosed by people (i picked them from sailfishos port request page). I'll by for myself from my money moto x 1 and x2 cuz i love them X force was choosed because it was very interesting device and also it's probably one of the most powerful sfos powered device rn so i wanted to show people that not only ultra old devices have sfos but newest ones too (well x force is 2 years old but still have great specs). so yeah once anbox get usable i'll try to port on x force and every device that i have/will have
Well guys my work is freezed until my X Force get repaired

How are you friend Valera! ?? First of all I appreciate this new port of samsung oreo. It is much better than the previous one due to the fact that it is from tablet to tablet. I installed it 2 hours ago and everything is wonderful, I'm probably my daily driver from now on. I will comment on bugs that I have found, some already mentioned in the OP. Camera does not work
- processing error when starting samsung account session
- blue filter
- gps seems to work
- I have a book cover and the screen does not turn on or off with the magnet
this is all for the moment, while I will continue watching a series in netflix with chromecast that works well in this rom, also the smart view. Thank you! It is a huge job!
Great ... I'm waiting port for t585 version. Good day!
which branch do you use ?? the TouchWiz-8.0? also if the book cover feature isn't working, i saw that the feature isn't enabled in your defcon.
Good morning!
I continue with this rom and it goes very well, but I have found one more problem and that is that the bluetooth is not activated.
Thank you very much for your great work!
Thanks man!!! Btw, can you add navbar? I reqlly would like to see ìt on a touchwizz rom for the tab a??
Nice work Valera. Waiting for t585 version hope you will fix camera also :good:
Hi all
Added port for lte version too.
Also I added small patch - I had remove encrypt data\sdcard, it's really annoying for me - I need backup\restore firmware, because I often back to los 15\16 and then back to port.

Today there was a new stock 8.1 firmware for the P580 (same as our but with s-pen). This is our related tablet with same hardware. As result now we have ideal fully worked port. Right now for T580 only, soon I'll finish it for T585.
This is good, and I hope soon we will get original stock firmware too.
Another great news... btw spen futures can be removed? Because it is unuseful for T585.
On Sammobile you can download original 8.1 FW for p580, p585.

Flash OpenGapps (Optional) [I'm not using GAPPS, I'm not going to give you advice.] (NOT TESTED!)
Flash Magisk Root (Optional) [I'm not using Magisk, I'm not going to give you advice.] (NOT TESTED!)

Hi szanalmas,
if you can please help me.
I have flashed lineage 20 to my Redmi Note 5A from the official site and I have these problems:
1. When I select the front camera I can only see a black screen. It seems that the camera works because I take photos which are totaly blacks.
2. The FM Radio does not work.
Both front camera and FM Radio worked properly and perfect with stock rom.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry, I've never tried the "OFFICIAL" Lineage version, so I can't help you with that. It's pretty sad that it's so buggy.
I do not (and will not) use "retrofit antics" on my phone. The "retrofit" makes no sense in the case of ugglite.
My ported version is perfect for me.
(I don't even understand why ada12 is promoting it in this thread... It's pretty bad.)

From me, everyone uses whatever ROM they want.
My phone has been stable for 6 years, even without a retrofit. (In the case of a 512 MB vendor partition, there is no point the retrofit. I think!)
But then please help our friend with the nickname cchatzim to solve the official LOS problems, thank you!
