Good choice. Based on my experience with Samsung pre-orders, they never shipped ahead of time. But ship on the exact date and delivered on next day. Never missed it.

On whirlpool forums, the woolies rep gave this very vague "Earlier" reply when asked about the shipping date.

Not true I have been here for a long time.
Ordered mine too Prism White - 512gb 10Plus (lease plan tho, cbf buying outright not with 5G 10plus being included for free on launch and over 24mnth term why bother I will just pay the equiv market value later)
I do have concerns since it does not matter which plan you go on lease or buy you need to hand the device back in working order to get the free upgrade.
Problem 1: How to flash TWRP for creating a full recovery dump of the device.
Problem 2: How to avoid tripping KNOX device protection after Magisk has been flashed for Root. (KNOX is unrecoverable so they say... even flashing a recovery dump won't fix it being tripped)
Random Thought: I wonder if Telstra will even notice if KNOX is tripped if I return the device back flashed back stock without any system mods by using TWRP and them running the TWRP removal script to remove any trace of a modified device being visible on inspection.
I don't know if I can go back to living without Magisk Root, there have been situations with every device I had in the past couple years that without Root enabled I simply would not have been able to workaround without installing some bloated non root.
List of things I could do with root -
Greenify Root Mode (no more annoying click to hibernate all automatic)
Bixby Remap - Not with the built-in method which I know does exist because the built-in method still keeps Bixby on long press (ew)
Substratum - Boot image and overall complete theming engine.
Viper FX Audio - ..... does this even need to be explained.
Other various potentially awesome system scripts.
Voda say they will be sent out for delivery from tomorrow. Time will tell I guess.
On the way status for my Voda Galaxy s10+.
I hope there is a working root for S10+.
Samsung Online updated the status to "Preparing for dispatch".

Sorry to maybe bust your bubble but lol all oreders will be shipped by the 27 and everyone will get the phone on the 29th, the day of it been released if it even actually is released. I think your rep might of been confused as were the ones i talked to. But if you do get it,which i think you wont on the 28, i hope you let us know !!!
Okay yes awesome that you got to pick shipping but that doesn't mean it will be processed and shipped by tuesday. Plenty of things could hang it up and make it come thursday by 1030 am but in all honesty i wish you the best and I hope you get it weds at 1030

Meh, he could get it before that. I have heard this before, but didn't think it was true. I guess the only way you can choose S&H options is if you pay outright for the phone. Plus even further proof, some people have gotten other phones before their release date in-store, but lol @ $15 + tax for one day early, though.
I know I probably will be phoneless come 10:30 on Wednesday, but making this post somehow makes me feel better

Likely because they don't work on Saturday or Sunday. I am guessing we will all see updates, if this is true, on our delivery confirmation as of tomorrow.

EDIT: But yeah, crazy dad you are right. This happened before with the iPhone 5. I think some people ordered this via VZW/Apple and they were refunded the dough after because there was no overnight shipping. AKA, we all get the phone on the same day as of the release date.
Just saying with the S3 some people got it a day early, but it wasn't due to overnight shipping

edit: looks like some other people are claiming that it will ship out from wal-mart on the 27th/be in stores on the 27th.

Hope it works out for yall. I just talked to a rep to see if i could change my ship date and he just told me that it wont ship before the 27th and will only have a devlivery date of the 29th.i tried to convince him of letting me get it on the 28th and says that they wont be available to the customer until the 29th.

i posted a thread about this. BB does not have them yet. went in store yesterday and talked to an inventory guy he said they arent even in the back yet. should be on a truck for delivery by wednesday to bestbuy and go on sale on THURSDAY 10/10. for the last time people its 10/10 in stores unless lucky preorders get a day early.

Why not just cancel your order if you don't get shipping confirmation by the 9th? Then pick it up at a local store...

Keep in mind folks, Verizon pre orders were supposedly set to arrive yesterday according to reports here. People were so happy they were getting their Note 8's 2 weeks early. Those users did get a delivery from Verizon but it was simply a case. My bet is no one gets theirs prior to the 13th-15th.

I HIGHLY doubt it is the phone so I would not get too excited. Perhaps is is a free case etc in preparation for the phone. According to my sources, no carriers even have their shipments in their warehouse yet. I hope I'm wrong....

Mine is sitting 5 miles away at the UPS facility. I already received my return kits for my current phone and the parcel at UPS weighs 1.5 pounds. I called and asked if I could pick it up ( there are actually 4 there for my family) and UPS advised that Sprint has a hold on it for no pickups or delivery until Tuesday 9/5.

I already posted my sources. If you do get the phone early, it is a mistake. Why would I trust you? Do you have some inside knowledge or are you just assuming it's the phone due to weight or IMEI?
It seems like there is a bit of hostility against me for posting my opinion. I'm giving you my personal experience with VZ pre orders and letting people know what 2 different people told me at VZW. I'm not calling anyone out but until the phone is in your hand, there are a lot of assumptions being made.
Apparently people are now bombarding VZW with calls about why their pre order has not shipped. It's obvious to me that not every Verizon pre-order was shipped so if you do get it early count yourself lucky but don't assume all preorders are shipping.
Well my tracking number is from my order specifically with IMEI and SIM # and the fact that it has been updated with my lease and new phone number I would say it would have to be the phone. I don't see a company updating my actual order with tracking if that order was not shipped.
yup 3 pounds ( i have two coming) and its now in Stockton where I live. soooooo close but so far. the tracking number is listed with the phones on sprints site.

I already posted my sources. If you do get the phone early, it is a mistake. Why would I trust you? Do you have some inside knowledge or are you just assuming it's the phone due to weight or IMEI?
It seems like there is a bit of hostility against me for posting my opinion. I'm giving you my personal experience with VZ pre orders and letting people know what 2 different people told me at VZW. I'm not calling anyone out but until the phone is in your hand, there are a lot of assumptions being made.
Apparently people are now bombarding VZW with calls about why their pre order has not shipped. It's obvious to me that not every Verizon pre-order was shipped so if you do get it early count yourself lucky but don't assume all preorders are shipping.

Well this is not a VZ thread and I used to have VZ and they suck. Doesn't surprise me that VZ would do that but I am 100% sure that my phone will be here on 9/5. No hostility at all from me it just looks as though somebody jumped the gun in the VZ thread and just didn't make sure it was the phone that actually shipped.
Why would I get a case when I only ordered a phone and there isn't a free case promo, at least that I'm aware of. I'm with Verizon and I got a notification of shipment and they took the money out of my account which wasn't happening until shipment. Delivery date says 9/5. I agree with the rest of the posters as well as the posters in the other threads, your sources are most likely not giving you the right story.
I'll admit it first: I'm incredibly impatient. I feel like everyone got their damn phone but me, but I know there are more sad saps like myself around here.

I ordered late (Sept 4) but others who have ordered later already have a phone.
I ordered a Verizon Note 8 in Orchid Gray through BB online. My stupid order still shows nothing different from when I first ordered. I live in Illinois, if it matters.

I don't know of any outlet for the Note 8 in Australia that will get it any earlier, so our entire continent feels your pain.
Ordered and paid for mine on the first day of pre-order in Indonesia, 8th September. Samsung website said delivery on the 28th September. Got a message yesterday saying probably on the 8th October!!! After pushing them on this, was told between the 28th Sep and 8th Oct. As I live in the middle of nowhere, I'll probably have to wait until the 8th Oct :crying::crying::crying:
Bit upsetting as I paid in full on the 8th Sep.

You paid in full and have already been charged?? Wow! I thought charging the card didn't happen until they shipped. I'd be pretty upset by that!

Still in pre order status, as I watch others who ordered same phone after me already have the phone in hand. Now it's looking like not only will I not get it early(or first as Samsung promised) I won't be getting it on time. Maybe later this week??? Samsung sucks

My wife's phone came friday while mines didnt make it. Its at ups right now, i went this morning to pick it up and the guy said come back at noon. They havent finish the truck.
This was tmobile tho. I was waiting on samsung but they never updated my order so cancel and went with tmobile.
Plus you order blue and i was told blue is going to be a hard color to find.

Can't be upset?? I wouldn't be, if Samsung had not told me I would be first to get the phone as a way to make up for note 7(yes I have a screen shot). Add to that today is my shipping day, and no shipping is happening (have email confirmation on that date as well). Also paid extra for next day shipping which looks like that won't happen either.
So yeah a little upset for Samsung lying to me.

Samsung sent out payment update request at 9pm MST, if you have not moved out of pre order status might want to check your orders. They only gave me 8 hrs to fix, which is strange, just a heads-up

Wow crazy on some of these delays. I pre-ordered from AT&T on the 1st and got it on the 6th. I was shocked how AT&T was actually fast because the original date was for this week and didn't have much hope for them actually meeting that date.

Mine has always looked like that but the first dot was highlighted until tonight. I'm not sure why you don't have this image though.

Yes I read announced 2/20 for pre-order and hits the market on 3/8. I signed up to reserve a pre-order spot for me and my husband cause of the $550 trade in. I hope they give away the new galaxy buds too. I called Best Buy to see if they knew what their deals were going to be yet and he said they won't know till the announcement date and when it's time to pre-order. I can't see Best Buy giving $550 trade in though.

I don't know what to do now lots of people over on slick deals are saying Samsung has screwed them over and tired to say their phone was messed up once they got it and not giving the full amount you think your getting. Now I see Best Buy is doing $550 too so I am not sure who to order from now. And yes I am so glad the buds are free with it. Now to pick a color.

I see where the phone will be available on March 8 at my Bestbuy while Samsung has given me a shipping date of March 15. I looked on Bestbuy's website to think about trading there instead but saw this, "Trade-in valid in store only. Minimum savings is $50. Savings excludes unlocked phones. Terms and conditions apply". Since BB is only accepting locked phones that leaves me out.

No my Best Buy and I asked them over and over in store and on the phone before I went in their is 2 deals a 650 and a 550. I am trading in my unlocked S9plus and buying an unlo9cked S10plus. When the phone comes in go to pick it up turn in my S9plus and get 550 off my S10plus. I was told this by 2 people in store and when I called I asked the guy 3 times and he said has to be done in store and I said well I am coming in let me repeat my self to make sure you understand what I want to do and I want to make sure your telling me correctly and I got his name. I have pre-order reserve date.
I preordered S10+ today will get it on March 1 with Buds.

I hope so on your part. I've already started the trade-in with Samsung but was out earlier and wanted to look at the phone at Best Buy. I asked the Samsung salesman in the store and he told me they were restricted to carrier locked phones only for the trade-in program. There was another sales person standing there and she didn't correct him. At least you got a name and if they then refuse you can just cancel the sale altogether.

I went to my local authorised Samsung shop and paid 20% deposit. Despite online preorders coming to customers only on March 6 shop personnel assured me that on March 1 I can visit shop and get my phone.
The shop already had display units so I guess they have some stock.
