AGM A8 black screen, none ROM work - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a big problem with my AGM A8.
The original ROM started displaying advertisements and malfunctioning so I wanted to change it.
I downloaded TWRP 3.1.0 AND- If I press the power button, or the screen will go sleep, it can not be woken up - the phone and touch works, the screen is black. When using TWRP 3.1.0 I install lineage-14.1 or RR v5.8.3, they work very well, but also - if phone will go sleep or I press the power button - I have to pull the battery out to reset and start.
I installed TWRP 3.2.3. It works very well, there are no problems with the black screen, but it do not want to install any rom (allways error 7).
I was scared, so I tried to install the original rom using an SD card (T88Q_14.bin file) and 3 buttons, but the phone does not detect it (on few different sd cards).
Please help me... I have a brick instead of a smartphone :/

I have a similar problem... As far as the SD card 3 button boot... Deep format the card before use... That worked for me.
The problem I have is:
The (T88Q_14.bin) file I have is probably for a different version and will not restore my phone correctly.
I've lost fastboot mode and recovery.
Now the phone boots with the screen scrambled with only colored lines.
It seems to boot in Android but OEM locked so I can't do anything with ADB.
I can't unlock it because I can't see anything but colors on the screen... The touch screen does not seem to work.
My AGM A8 is 4gb ram 64 rom. (The newest version)
If anyone have the T88Q_14.bin for that phone... please share

Same problem, I found this one and I am back in!!
search for LA6622(Q14)_HW1.R1.V09.A8_MultiDownload_20180411user
found link at 4pda russian, google translate.
Xda won't let me post the link.
Still have bars in the background but at least it is workingP

hello friends,
i did also struggle with preparing the reboot sd card for AGM A9.
in the end, my following actions were successful:
i've just formatted the tf card in android,
downloaded the zip file for my phone model
to the root directory of the tf card,
powered off the phone,
and booted by symultaneous press of [on] and [vol-dn].
i don't know whether this wipes the cache,
so if you want to make sure, reboot with [on] and [vol-dn] without the tf,
select with vol-up/dn the wipe cache option, and do it by [on/off],
and then select reboot the same way.
good luck

[Q] Lenovo A830 Boot Loop No Recovery

I have a problem with one of my Lenovo A830 phones.
I bought it from Etotalk, so it came rooted, and with their custom version of the Lenovo Stock ROM and their custom version of CWM 5.5 installed.
I tried formatting my SD card and then doing a factory data reset from within the operating system. (I was intending to install MIUI V5 after rebooting into recovery).
However, on rebooting, the device is now caught in an infinite boot loop, and I am not able to boot into recovery mode (by holding down power and both volume keys). It loads the initial splash screen, then shows a few seconds of the Android character and some whirring cogs before rebooting.
I am able to boot into Factory mode (power and volume up) or Meta mode (power and volume down). Factory mode has a number of options, but they are all in Chinese characters, which I am unfortunately not able to read.
I did notice that my SD card seemed to be write protected when I tried to format it in my computer and to copy on the new ROM - I solved this by putting it in a different phone and reformatting it. I wonder whether the factory reset process has write protected something it shouldn't have?
Does anyone know how I might best proceed? I've been digging around on the forums, and tried a few things, but there's nothing which seems to provide a coherent solution for this problem.
I've got the latest Android SDK Tools, MTK Droid Tools 2.4.8, SP Flash Tool 3.1312, some additional ADB drivers (120827 v3.7) that I'm not sure how to install, the latest MIUI V5 ROM (3.8.16), and the latest stock Lenovo ROM (S118 from Need A ROM, just in case I need it).
Maybe different SP Flash Tools version?
I had trouble using SP Flash Tools v3.1312 with A830. Once I switched to v3.1304.0.119 I was able to flash both the original ROM and the custom MIUI one without serious issues. I'm unable to post the download link but google it.
One other thing is that when connecting the phone, it usually loads the something something Preloader driver, which is no good (even if it gives you Download OK). When attempting to flash either ROM, try pressing both the power and volume up buttons while connecting the phone (after pressing Download), only way it worked for me.
Good luck!
I managed to sort this out quite simply in the end!
On the Lenovo A830 (and presumably other Lenovo Android phones?), you enter recovery by pressing power and then pressing volume up / down together after a short pause. The short 1 - 2 second pause is important, because if you try and press them at the same time or in quick succession it doesn't seem to work.
I then installed MIUI V5 from the SD card followed by Google Apps after a reboot. In order to get MIUI to install, I had to remove the assert check at the top of the update script, because this seems to erroneously check for the A820 (even though there isn't currently a port for this device?). It's working excellently with two exceptions - I am unable to select the SD card as a storage device, and Google Play store is not searchable (it causes a Force Close).

Hi I had similar "reboot loop" problem this morning after a phone factory reset.
I have no idea how I solved that but the following was the steps I tried:
1. Install the MTK6589_PdaNET_ADB_VCOM_Drivers. Skip the USB connection during setup. Start the PdaNET after setup finished.
2. Insert battery inside the phone and connect the phone with the computer by USB
In my case, the phone reboot loop once, and the lenovo screen appeared in the second restart. The phone hanged. I unplugged the cable, took out the battery, insert the battery again and start the phone normally again and it is working now.
I recommend installing the recovery rom after you have fixed the phone.
Goodluck

solution for bricked padfone

Hi everybody.
as mentioned before ive received an padfone2 who would not boot annymore.
no asus logo nothing. only the navigation buttons lit when touched.
what you need for the solution is a pc/ laptop with linux mint (or anny other version) installed.
first i had to open the device cause the flatcable for the screen was lose.
solved it the it booted with te asus logo and the dotted circle and stayed this way..
ive connected the padfone to my linux machine booted the padfone showing all partitions. 4 or 5 wouldnt mount.
ive repaired them from a console typing "fsck /dev/sda(number of partitions who failed to mount)" and press enter. (be sure you type the correct number only not mounted partitions should be done.)
after that partions (exept one) repaired perfect.
after that ive downloaded the latest firmware for my region and copied it to the 25gb partition. stil in linux
rebooted the padfone into basic recovery (ive got a screen for choosing to go to recovery or stay in download mode) trying every possible option with the power button and the volme keys
choose install from cache and there it was the wwe version of the rom ive copied (ive choose the latest version for my region (kitkat)
and it began to install (first it installed after reboot it seemed to bootloop but again the install screen with the belly open android emerged.
rebooted again and booted into the first install screen (updating 3 of 120 or something like that) now it works like a charm.
im happy, customer happy, perhaps this makes more people happy
succes

Dear Sir!
I have the common problem of Asus Padfone: Continuous boot loop.
Everytime I do a factory reset it works great, after one or two days it starts the boot loop.
From what I red in internet during these weeks it seems to be a problem of the partitions, as one of them i loosing its memory.
Can you please explain in more details your approach?
Commands in Linux? How to repair a partition, etc?
I am new in Linux but willing to learn.
Thank you for your understanding.
The comand is in the instruction type it as root in a terminal

Pepsi P1S corrupted eMMC?

Hello
Yesterday i have recieved the Pepsi (Koobee) P1S. it was full of bloatware so i decided to flash a modded rom. After i realized that this custom rom is only in english and chinese (Im German) i wanted to switch back to the original. But then i made the biggest mistake: I have flashed the false rom (CM for Mt6592 CPU but false Smartphone). After that i have flashed the right original rom again. but a strange Error appears: the Phone boot up normaly and then freeze and reboot by itself..over and over again. But not at the same step. Sometimes it freeze during the Bootanimation..sometimes it boot up completly and i can swipe through the Screens (for about 10 sec). When i push the standby button (Display went off) the Phone stays in this mode and dont freeze.
the i flashed TWRP and try to wipe the phone. Even in TWRP it freeze, but not during the wipes or in the Boot Mode slelect screen.
I Have a friend with the same phone. Is it possible to copy a complete backup (eMMC etc) to my phone? Or someone had a Idea what i can try next? I have flashed different roms (for this phone) so many times, but the error is still there.
Please help me.. It should be a present for my GF birthday today
SOLUTION
I downloaded the flashtool that flashes MTK Devices then searched google for Pepsi p1s needrom and downloaded the original firmware scatter file, turn off the P1S unplug it from USB,...Start the flashtool, and search the firmware will be second search bar select search and browse your computer for the firmware you downloaded from needrom, then you will see it load all the files.....there is a button bar that has an arrow open the arrow and select firmware update, then hit the green go button after you hit the green go button plug in your powered off PEPSI P1S ....it will give you a red bar on the flashtool at bottom first, then it will format your device properly, then install all the necissary files, its real quick about 3 minutes, after a box will pop up on the screen and say OK with a big check mark, at this point you can unplug your phone, power it up and wait about 3 minutes, everything will be normal again. So sorry I would post the links however I forgot my password and username that I was using for many years and forgot my recovery email as well.....so if you google it you can find the stuff, just hope I helped with the proper method of flashing......good luck, let me know how it goes.
Thanks but i know how to flash the firmware with SP Flash Tool. i have flashed the P1S with 3 different roms..but always the same error (freeze and reboot at different points)
Are you using download mode? Or firmware update? The reason I ask is download mode always gave me a bootloop, but when switched to firmware update mode it formats the device correctly and fixes the file structure, try firmware update mode.
Im using "Format All + Download"
Try using firmware update mode, let me know what happens.
same problem...freeze (at different points) ans reboot.
here you can see what happen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1oFkgUwtOo
try this! P1
power off
then hold power button + volume down
the boot mode will appear
select recovery
it will show you no command
then pres power button first and the press volume up
now you device is on recovery
then select
wipe data/factory reset.

I have noted one thing.
when I update supersu to play store and reboot it goes in bootloop.
so I recommend not to upgrade or even to make unroot just after removing apps with viruses

Lenovo TAB S8-50F won't boot, help!

I'm not a n00b, I've rooted every Android device I've ever had, and I have my OnePlus Two running the latest CM14.1 nightlies. But I can not figure out what to do for this poor tablet.
I had downloaded and installed an OTA from Lenovo, but it must have been corrupt because the tablet got stuck in a boot loop. I can boot into recovery, so I tried formatting it and clearing all the caches, then it goes to a screen with a loading bar, which fills completely and just sits there. I've left the thing on all night. Nothing.
Sending it to Lenovo is a no-go because I voided the warranty when I rooted it.
I've also tried reinstalling the stock firmware, but the Intel phone flash tool either get's blocked by Windows 10 (with no way to whitelist it) or fails to flash properly.

What I've tried:
Just plain booting it - screen turns on and doesn't do anything, just black
Rebooting through recovery (power + vol_up) - plays boot animation, goes to a screen with a loading bar like it does after an update, but once the bar fills, a white line appears at the top of the screen and nothing happens
Downloading the official KitKat firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/lenovo-tab-s8-50f-stock-firmware-rom-t2989791), unarchiving the rar file and rearchiving it into a .zip, putting it on a MicroSD card, putting the card in the tablet, flashing through recovery - can't find the .zip, says SD card is blank
Clearing caches and wiping data - same as when rebooting through recovery
Using the Intel phone flash tool through bootloader (power + vol_down) - tool can't find device
Using the same tool through fastboot (power + vol_up + vol_down) - gets to the sleep 4000 ms step, reboots the device, then the device goes to the same loading screen and the flash tool can't contact it. I think it's trying to boot into the OS to finish the flash, but that's the problem to begin with
I've tried loading the temporary CWM session but that fails
I can't for the life of me figure out what the @bailka011 Unlock Tool is supposed to do or how to use it, plus the download link isn't working.
Can someone please guide my through this? I'm so confused

This update was seven months ago. It did not claim to bring 6.0, just minor fixes.
Thank you for clearing that up, now I just have to figure out how to download and use it xD.
Also I have figured out how to enable the hidden administrator account in Win10 and use that to get around the security warning, still tries to boot partway through flashing. Unless there's some other part of Win10 that's disagreeing with it.

bootloader or fastboot not opening.

hey guys, So i have flashed my redmi note 3 with stock android 5.1. Two problems surfaced after that and i have no idea how to solve them.
1. The storage space was full. I got 32 gb internal storage, but after flashing stock android 5.1, it shows free space as only 4kb. i did try to check what is occupying that much space, but there is literally nothing. I connected my phone to ,y laptop to use MTP and see, nothing. Even my SD card is shown as fulleven though it's empty. When i try to copy something to my SD card though, it does copy but doens't work for internal storage. i thought something is wrong with the stock android 5.1 ROM, so i wanted to go into twrp custom recovery and go back to restore, but here came the problem 2.
2. I am not able to enter into recovery mode. 1st, i tried to go into recovery mode using "Reiboot for android", it just restarted into android 5.1. Then I tried using ADB commands to enter into bootloader and fastboot It just restarted into android 5.1 again. Then I switched off the phone, then held power button and volume up botton (which worked previous to the custom ROM flashing), but now it just restarts to Android 5.1 again. So finally, no matter how much i try to enter fastboot or recovery, it just restarts into Android 5.1. Even if i want to carry on with the custom rom, i cannot as there is the storage full problem (4kb left).
Even if i want to go back to restore the backup, i cannot. So any help here guys about what is happening and what i can do?
Thank you.

Custom recovery is opening now. But still couldn't solve the storage problem.I am not planning to keep stock android 5.1 anyway, but I don't want to go back to MIUI either cause the battery optimization thing is soo bad, as soon as i turn off my screen, my music player is killed. I can't even play anything even a small size music player. So Basically I am looking for a ROM where I can play my music player in the background. I don't use any other heavy apps either. So any tips guys?
Also, I am new to the whole ROM thing, so correct me if i do not make sense anywhere. Thanks
