"Open Camera" app - recommended settings for indoor concert photos? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ive just wondered for anyone who uses this app, which settings youve found turn out best while at a concert?
I didnt feel this was appropriate to ask in the development thread for this app as im not requesting or suggesting features or development or anything.... Im just wondering which settings to take advantage of to have my photos turn out the best?
Any advice appreciated

2 questions - Messenger picture and camera options

Hello,
I have 2 things that bothered me today in my trip with the HD2
1. What manual settings should I use for the HD2 (contrast etc) ? The pictures are very grainy even under light.
2. In the Messenger app in the new Energy ROM, I can't see my account picture on the main contacts page, Only when I click "change appearance" I see it. Why is that ?
Thanks !

1.) There are camera tweaks all over the forum for the HD2 I do know you can take really good pics with it , I have no links to them at the moment, you will probably find them faster searching ....
2.)
Can you see others pics/avatars?
I would assume, to save space, since you should already know what your picture looks like ....(not sure if that really is the answer but it sounds good )

As for Q1.
Check this thread out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
Especially, 16, 17, 18, 56, 62, 63
And just a suggestion but next time do use the search function on the top right. Most answers will be found much quickly.
For Q2, post it on Energy ROM thread.

[Q] HDR for HD2?

Is there any possibility to take HDR photos on HD2? Best way would be to integrate such feature right into the built-in camera app (iPhone-like)....
Thanks in advance, Pete.
I was just about to ask the same question.
I searched other threads and there is still no word about app that would enable us to get HDR.
HDR is strictly software level based so it shouldnt be too hard for someone to make app or modify ROM so we can use it.
iphone and Android didnt have it,but now they can enjoy this feature.
Hopefully someone will make that app for us.

[Q] Android professional photography application

Hi everybody. Sorry for poor English.
You know, android market have a camera 360 and few more applications. I want to do mobile photograpy.
Camera 360 and other applications haven't got iso and flash setup. Too bad flash settings. Led lights up or dont light. I want to led's power settings.
I need iso settings on the main screen. We will be iso setup easily after new camera application. (I think )
Can you develop like this application? I can't do this. I am a c# developer. I dont know about for java and android development. New android professional photograpy application, and have iso, flash, filter, contrast, brightness, sharpness, manual focus settings. Would be perfect
I'm sorry for my poor English again. Thanks for answers.
Up up up, where is answers?

Well first youd need to find yourself a java coder and someone who works with eclipse alot. Then youd need to find if this is even possible? I know in aosp roms the flash settings are built into the rom so youd be changing a file of somekind probably in the .jar files somewhere. Thats why you havent seen a photography app yet b/c I dont actually think what your talking about is even possible given androids file structure.

If you can do c#, then you won't have any problem picking up java. There is not much difference, really.
Anyway, professional photography on a phone? Sounds like an oxymoron.
1- Buy a Samsung Galaxy S2
2- Root it.
3- Flash CheckROM
It has base Samsung Camera with ISO settings and a lot more.

Foxhound 3.0 testing results

Hi all,
This is my first time posting in this forum but after reading some of your replies in the main thread, I figured that I'd give some of my input too
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1486199
Defect list
- Video call not working unless used with 3rd party apps (Skype etc) [KNOWN]
- High battery drain using 3rd party video calling apps [KNOWN]
- No Swype feature, I thought this was supposed to be a stock feature with all mods/custom roms but Foxhound doesnt have it for some reason.
- Voice search on Google/Google Search widget doesnt record voice and always shows an error
- Attaching media to SMS via share option doesnt attach on first try. I'll have to create an SMS and then attach pics, files etc thru the msg rather than the other way around. This worked great in ICSrewd and some other ROMS but not on this one.
Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with the ROM, its quite stable and has given me the best battery life I could ask for even running live wallpapers. My average battery time varies anywhere from 16-21 hrs depending on light to moderate usage.
I watched 3 movies back to back and was still left with 30% charge on the phone.

(w.e your question is)
You really should ask the developer, which he isn't in this forum.
Check the i9100 section.

I tried to but since this is my first post ever, I cant post directly into the Android development forum or is that not what you were referring to?
By the way how do I contact the dev directly? or is that not possible?

You need to post in the I9100 forum....go to the very top right of the screen where it says "FIND YOUR PHONE" and type in I9100 and find the thread your looking for.
Got it! Thanks

motion control not working outside of gallery

I can't seem to use the pan-zoom function anywhere on the phone other than the test section, and the gallery. ANy idea why this is? I did a search and I don't see anyone asking this question before.
