I've tried power button and either of the vol keys and nothing.

ok, figured it out - just use the Screen Write function using the s-pen

Or use sidebutton and volume down simultaneously. Or use the side of your hand and wipe from left to right.

The Bixby button. On top off of the volume keys.
For me the gesture works. Just hold your hand if you would shake somebody's hand. And then swipe across the screen from left to right. Works for me everytime.

Press the power button and the volume down button together for about 1 second and then release the buttons EVEN IF YOU DO NOT SEE the white flash confirming the screenshot. Only AFTER you release the buttons do you see the white flash. This works differently from previous versions of Galaxy Tabs, and it can be quite deceptive.
Of course, you can also use the S-Pen and the palm swipe action to take screenshots as mentioned in the other posts.

Same way on the Note 10+. It's hard to get used to, as holding down the volume down button and power button now brings up the power menu. I have to retrain my brain to just press them both down at the same time and release.

Its a quick press of volume down and power at same time. No need to hold them down for a 1 sec or anything..just push let go[emoji16]

Portrait keyboard prefers "O" over "P"

Can someone else confirm this...
When using the portrait (small) keyboard when typing a text message, if I press the "P" button anywhere to the left of center (say the left 30% of the button), I get an "O" instead. It looks like the letter "O" will get pressed if you press anything from the left of the "O" button all the way to almost the middle of the "P" button. To get "P" reliably, I have to press the right half of the "P" button.
Is this by design? Is it supposed to favor "O" over "P"? Or is my tilted/rotated screen causing this?
Mike
Mine does it too, only with the O and the P.
me too..................

Some times my delete button registers as L. It happened with multiple keyboards.
Calibrating the Keyboard helps.
Yea always calibrate the keyboard It's helps. At first I was typing everything off and since It's been nearly perfect.

Perhaps the guy has big hands. But calibrating does do wonders, try it and let us know your results
I tried calibrating a half dozen times. It does help a tiny bit but not much: I still get a "preferred O". Plus: calibration only works for the stock keyboard and I prefer the Gingerbread Keyboard from the market.
Mike
Calibrating completely fixed it for me.
Yeah that fouled up Gingerbread Keyboard...meh.
LOL j/k
The Stock we have is just a refined/skinned version of it.

Everyone else has mentioned it, but I will too.
I've always calibrated the keyboard with a new phone or new ROM. The only disadvantage is when someone else uses it. My wife hates trying to type anything on it.

Power button doing its own thing

My power button is now taking pictures anytime I press it or any duration held. No more power down menu.

It seems to happen rarely, but it does happen. All you need to do is press the home+power button to do a screen shot and the power button should start working properly.

I had the same problem running SHOstock ROM + Siyah. I assumed it was the ROM, but maybe I'm wrong. I have not had a problem running Stock + Siyah.
Pressing home+power fixed it for me too... Some times it took several tries to disable it.

Edit: my phone has tilt disabled, but if I face the screen down and hit the power Button, it also takes a screenshot. Is that a shortcut? Like the brightness slider for the menu bar (swiping your finger to adjust brightness left/right)
I did a hot reboot and t went away. It was annoying because I use my power button to on/off the screen (I have my screen on time set to 10 minutes)

Power button causing Reboots and Shutdowns in my pocket (May be solved enclosed Pic)

I was a little concerned this might happen and it has been lately. Happened twice today.
I keep my phone in my front pants pocket (usually jeans, well always jeans) and I loath using a case.
Anyway if I sit or bend too long it holds the power button in long enough to shutdown.
If I later sit or bend it hits the power button and boots back up !! How nice.
I usually notice it when it boots because it vibrates on boot.
I love the size and I actually like the buttons.
I'm gonna try putting a stripe of e-grip on either side of the power button to see if I can solve it that way.
This might be the reason for some folks "reboots".
EDIT: My current solution:

A custom ROM or MOD could simply add a menu to the shutdown button. IE: Reboot, Reboot Recovery, Shut Down, etc.

That Hold the Power Button in for 10 seconds to shutdown is a Low Level feature in place of removing the battery.
You never want to defeat that even if you could.

it should have been hold power + volume down or something. That is a bit of a shame
or something like those tiny holes where you insert a paper clip like some devices.
I think this might just work

[App] bxLauncher - A Bixby remapping extension! Launch assistant and more!

With the latest update of Bixby Voice Samsung finally allows to remap the Bixby button! Unfortunately the remapping options are very limited.
With bxLauncher you can easily launch any action directly from Bixby's remapping option, without limitations! You can toggle the flashlight, launch Google assistant, take screenshots or start any actions you like!
Currently bxLauncher can only launch one action, and only when your phone is unlocked!
If you want to fully remap the Bixby button with double tap, long press and more and also launch actions from lockscreen then the app bxActions is recommeded!
SETUP:
Just open Bixby, go to button settings and select "Launch app: bxLauncher"
bxLauncher will then launch your selected action!
FEATURES:
Remap the Bixby button to any action!
Launch Google Assistant with the Bixby button
Turn on the flashlight with the Bixby button
High performance! No lags!
No annoying ads!
ACTIONS:
Launch Google Assistant
Turn on flashlight
Take a screenshot
Mute phone
Launch camera or any other app
Switch to last app
35+ actions in total
Please note bxLauncher needs at least Bixby Voice v2.1.04 to work correctly!
This app is in development and still experimental!

I'm sorry for being confused about this. Do I need this if I'm already using BxActions?

depends on your needs, but i guess no
Oh wait, ****. I forgot about the new phones having double tap capabilities on the display. I may have to look into this app. Thanks!
Is there any trickery that I could unlock my phone and bypass my security? (I paid for pro features)

Volume keys arrangement

The arrangement of the volume keys isn't good for a tablet. Because it's a tab, people use it more often in the landscape mode then in the portrait mode. But the volume keys are arranged for the portrait mode, like on a phone. If changed to the landscape mode the key arrangement is unusual, left key launder and right key volume down. It should be the opposite way in landscape mode. Or key's arrangement should change automatically when changing the view mode.

I'm glad it worked. My previous tablet was Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) and the volume buttons were positioned correctly in landscape mode (Decrease the volume to the left, increase the volume to the right).
And BTW for quick volume changes I use One Hand Operation app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.sidegesturepad&hl=en
For long swipe gesture i choose Quick tools - very handy and useful features like volume change, brightness change and several others
