Pandora not working (for me) - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Questions & Answers

So,
Pandora is not working, once it starts it gives an error that they are having technical difficulties. After clicking ok, it tries to connect (presumably to their servers) and then fails. It asks if I want to reconnect but that also fails.
I upgraded from a galaxy tab s(running a version of linageos). Google picked up a recent backup, and restored all my apps.
I launched pandora, and immediately had the error. It did not ask me to log in. I cleared cache, cleared data, and reinstalled several time. Still have errors. I expected that clearing the data or reinstalling would require me to provide login information; but it does not.
Anyone have similar issues, or have gotten Pandora to work?

I am having the same issue. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, changing battery optimazation, allow backrground usage, etc. Still getting the same error

I had several emails with the first level support techs at pandora. They don't know what is happening, and have sent it to the developers.
Note I get an error code of 9 when I try to connect,to the servers or if I try to register a new account.
At this point it looks as if it's a bug, hoping they will get back with a solution.
Will report back on what they find

Just for my clearance: What is pandora? Is it the rom or do you mean any app?

I mean the music streaming APP Pandora.
I got an email from the tech support confirming that there a problem.
Been a week now with no update or fix.

Please let us know if you here anything.

Emailed tech support this morning, asking for a update to my issue.
Got a response about an hour later that the developers were working on the issue.
Will check in next weekend, unless the respond or fix the issue

Cleared my tablet and app cashe and it installed and I get the usual opening screen then 2 seconds later I get an error that says my Pandora Session has timed out. Click ok and it closes.

Does this App come with the Tab s6 or did you manually install it?

Installed from the play store. It has always worked on all my devices. I use it daily on alexa.

Installed today's update, I can now connect.
Looks like they fixed the issue

Downloaded and installed lastest version and it works now. Thanks for keeping us up to date !!

[Q] Market Web Installs never start downloading.

Market web installs from "market android com" never start. ('m not allowed to post links)
Under "My Devices" in the settings page it shows my Atrix, It has a "Registered on" date (today) but it doesn't have a "Last Used" date (it shows a dash).
I have followed all the suggestions on the help page. (log in, log out)
My Market App version is 2.3.2.
Google Talk works. The Market App works. Clearing Data and Cache for the Market doesn't help any.
I'm signed in with a regular Google account. (not an apps account)
Any suggestions?
This might sound obvious, but have you tried restarting it or resetting it?
Yep. Lots of restarts.
Does the market work on anyone else's Atrix or is it just me?
I read somewhere that if you open Google Talk and sign out then sign back in, it should get the market web installs working because of a communication problem.

Yeah, that's on the help page. Didn't work.
Empty market cache, and uninstall market upgrades (if any). Had the same problem before with other phones, I do not think this is atrix specific.
Getting the market to upgrade afterwards required some manual steps as well. Too lazy to look that up now though, just google it.

I emptied the cache and uninstalled updates. On the first launch I got the old market, on the second launch it had upgraded back to the new one. I also tried a reboot. Still doesn't work. Good idea though, thanks.
Bump! Any fixes for this? I'm having the same issues. The Market web store even lists my phone being last used on Feb 25 (the last day it was pushing app downloads from my computer). However, when I download apps from my phone, it shows up on my account online.

I thought I was having this same problem, but I was in battery saver mode and had auto-sync disabled. After re-enabling it, the downloads just began automatically.
I had the same issues at first and tried all th above fixes and the ones on the google help page. nothing worked at first. i waited a few hours and tried downloading again and everything worked fine. i can't really explain how but it just started working.
I have had this problem for 5 days =/ Now I just chrome to phone the link and open it with market =/ I have done all the above, contacted Google and posted at Motorola Site. Nothing works.
Darn I am having the same issue. Just got my Atrix an hour or two ago...so we will see what happens. I'll try and keep you updated.
Edit: Mine just started working, so I don't know what the problem with yours is. Hope you get it worked out.
I have same problem here with my Hd2 DFT android Rom maket works fine but it never start downloading any apps :/ please some help ??!!
Do you have apps/the market to update only on wifi? And you haven't opened the apps to have them generate an, "I'm here", marker for the market to send you stuff, when you were hooked up to wifi?
I wondered the same thing...
Good news guys Google talk was not working for me so I re flashed my phone and reconfigure it now Google talk work and market too I don't know if it will works for you but for me it working great now hope it help a bit
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Port 5228
This may not help everyone, but I ran into this same problem.
Each day, my downloads weren't sent to my phone and my gmail wasn't pushing consistently, but by the time I got home, everything seemed to be working again. I noticed that I was also unable to log into google talk on my office's wifi (which seems to be the key to getting everything else to work). A coworker with a samsung android phone was having the same problem.
We worked with our network administrator to unblock certain ports on the wifi firewall. We finally resolved this issue by opening port 5228. Now everything is pushing correctly. See if this port is blocked on your wifi.
The weird thing that kept throwing me off is that even if I switched off wifi and used ATT, it was still having problems for a period of time.

[Q] Google Play stuck "Downloading", help?

So I just flashed viperROM and rooted via the RegawMOD. Whenever I try to download a app from the Google Play store, it just refuses to download. It'll display the "Downloading" dialog and the icon will pop up in the notification bar, but it won't actually download. I've already tried clearing the Play Store's cache and the Download manager's cache. It didn't help. I am connected to the internet. When I tried downloaded the SwiftKey 3 beta off of their website, it worked. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
i rooted with regawMOD too and i locked my bootloader back and unrooted and i am having the same problem.i even ran ruu and still having the same troubles.
Did you try clearing the data in the google app store in addition to the cache? You will have to sign back in I think but that would be the next step. Otherwise I suppose just wait awhile and try again later after a reboot or something.
I had a similar problem and what I had to do was create a new google account then log into the play store with that account and delete my old google account. Once that's set check if you can download an app with your new google account. If you can then you should be able to log in with your old account and solve the problem.

I did try clearing everything. It still wouldn't work.
I noticed this the day I bought the phone.
It's really annoying when I've got app updates. If I click on the batch update button to update multiple apps, it won't complete unless I stay on the update page and keep the phone from going to sleep. Otherwise, the first app will update and the rest will stall on "downloading". This happen pre and post root.
Very annoying.

Not sure what is going on...mine isn't working either. My girlfriend is on straight talk, the t mobile part, i am on straight talk also, the att part. Neither are working on wifi or cell data. Stuck at downloading.
Its working again, i didnt do anything except try later
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
And its working again, but no apparent reason.

A lot of people have been having that problem...its Google that's causing the problem...its not us or the phone itself...
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk 2.
I am having this for 2 weeks, 2 phone have the same issue. Try to flash different ROM but fail
It must be google, what the heck they are doing!
Really irritating.... I, too, have this issue occasionally, usually on a large download ... like Sky Safari Pro (570 mbytes). Two months of this and my Note freezes during the episode. Only solution I have found is to turn off WiFi, power down, remove SIM and restart. Only then can I kill the download in Google Play. I have seen this on 3 different stock ROM's and 3 different Customs. GB and ICS. Currently on ICS XEU.
Usually waiting an hour or two and then it's okay.... batch updates are a real killer with this and I also see the first download okay then the rest hang and have to be shut down manually.
Google????????
Looks like this thread is closed..coz its back to working here..
Now i'm experiencing the same exact thing. T_T
I created a new thread..if there are suggestions for a solution..please post there..tq.

can't download songs right now. check your internet connection

Anyone else getting "can't download songs right now. check your internet connection" when trying to download music from Google Music?
I've cleared cache, data, re-installed and deauthorised my device (Google Nexus) from the website... I'm running Stock JB - but also occurs with Bugless Beast. This has only started happening recently - last couple of days or so
more importantly does anyone have a solution?
thanks!

Figured it out myself: Although I had 500+Mb of storage free that was apparently causing the problems. There was no message indicating storage was an issue. I cleared various app caches until I had 1GB+ free and now all seems well
It happened to me too. But it was not resolved by clearing cache. I resolved it by going to Play Music on a browser and deauthorising the other devices and instances I already had on my authorised devices list. It can take up to 10 devices and instances, when you exceed that you cannot download to any device again.

This worked for me as well. I had filled up my list of authorized devices. Apparently flashing a new ROM makes your phone look like a new device to Google.
I keeps getting this mesage: "Can't download music right now. Will try again later".
Anyone has solution on this problem?

Also getting the error on my nexus 10.
Are the others with the same problem also using 2 step authentication? that's my current guess about the cause of it.
I've cleared the cache, cleared the app data, re-installed, etc. Have deauthorized it it in music and in 2 step authentication, but no luck with anything so far.
I called google about it and got an email telling me I needed to move the songs to my SD card
Might call them again b/c it's preventing me from saving purchased music as well now.
I've been getting this a lot the last two days.
Do a factory reset and re sign in your Google account.

I had this same issue but it turned out to be just one fricking song that it was stuck on. I removed that song from the queue and it started up again. I have no idea why, but this process is really finicky
Hello,
when pinning music to my external Sd-card for offline use in Google Play Music, the app constantly stops saying it "Can't download music right now, will try again later" for no apparent reason (30 GB still available on the card, Wifi connection working just fine), sometimes even REMOVING already downloaded songs (at least that is what the "storage available" info in the setting says, suddenly is jumps back to 28GB from 20GB for example) -
why is that and how can I fix it? Can't seem to download all pinned songs, have been at it for over a week now...
I am using a Sony Xperia ZL with CM 11 and the newest Google Play Music Version, have not authorised too many devices.
With regards,
Tom

Google Play Services Stopped etc.

Randomly today, I keep getting persistent popups that say Google Play services has stopped and another one involving com.google something about location I believe.
I have not touched my phone hardly at all today, haven't installed anything or changed any settings etc. Have tried rebooting phone, to no avail. Any help? Thanks
I think there was a update to google play services taking it to version 5 in the past day or two, maybe you got a dodgy update or it is conflicting with another app. Maybe try clearing data for play services then reboot the phone.
Thanks for the reply. Tried that to no avail. This is maddening.

Same thing happens to me as well, i can't figure out the cause. the other one is com.google.something.location.service
I am also getting this randomly since the latest Play services update 2-3 days back, mostly for the Dash app.
I been having Google+ force close even if cache and data clear
Having exact same problems. It also removes your Gmail account in back up and reset in settings. Only thing I did to make it stop was uninstall the update and reboot and won't update until google fixs the problem, idiots! I don't understand why they haven't pulled the update or updated the update by now.
Mine pops up every 2-3 seconds. I can't even make calls or text without wanting to throw my Z2 into the East River. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Ventra Application Runtime Error

XDA techies,
I am having an issue with an application called Ventra on my phone. It is basically an app that Metra transit uses to buy tickets and view scedules. I have called their customer/"tech support" and they have been of NO help what so ever. I just don't understand how they not know their own app. I have looked on Google Play to see who the developer was so I can contact them, but it just gave me their crappy customer service email. Below is the error that I am recieving:
Runtime Error
Location: [329,21]/alloy/sync/enc.db.js
Message:
Uncaught Attempt to invoke virtual method'java.lang.String appcelerator.encrypteddatrabase.TilDatabaseProxy.getName()'on a null object reference
Source:
var tmpDb=_database.open(config.adapter.db_name);
This error just came out of nowhere. The application was working fine, then I noticed the tickets that I purchased were disappeared and then the following Monday when I used the app this error popped up. I am no developer, but I do work IT and have a good understanding of tech. I found a temporary solution by clearing the cache and data in the app settings, but the error pops right back up after a day or two. I have never experienced this and it is very annoying. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with Oreo operating system. So the hardware is out of the question. I do not want to have to root my phone or factory reset, but if it comes down to factory reset it is worth the headache of having to purchase tickets all the time.
I should also note, that I have uninstalled and reinstalled this application multiple times and it still gives this error. I have literally tried everything I know without resoirting to factory restore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Same thing happened to me, not sure why since my phone (s8+) didn't have a security update recently and the app was lasted updated June 5th and was working fine for a month. Had to clear data, not just reinstall but clear all app data, and it let me log in again. Lost all my metra tickets so you have to call them to get them back onto the app.
I'm having the same problem, but mine happened after a security update on my s6 active. I will try to clear app data and she is I can get back in.
Same issue for me and clearing data didnt help
I got it working by clearing data, uninstalling app, restarting phone, reinstalling app. Clearing data again and making sure the app had storage and location permissions allowed.

So annoying right? I just want this resolved, but now I don't trust using it. It's annoying getting on the train just to have this message pop up and have to clear cache and data, re-login, and re-buy a ticket. I don't know if it is a Ventra developer issues or an Andriod developer issue.
