which display to buy? - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

I want to buy a display, but how can I understand where is boe, and where is lg without installing it on the phone?
On AliExpress, I found three different signatures on a flexible display cable. Where are the BOE?

have you tried contacting the seller?
No FP scanner is for Chinese models.

Of course, but most do not know that the displays come from different manufacturers (
There is a screen with and without a FP scanner

If you want to be sure get the replacement from Huawei certified service center. Those parts from Ali might not even have BOE or LG screens.

the screen in the service center costs ~ $ 350, can add a little and buy a second mate 20 pro. It makes no sense to buy such an expensive screen.
Maybe just someone knows what the inscriptions on the flex cable of the boe screen look like? it will be enough for me

I got mine changed for free just check the hicare app to see if your device is under warranty warranty is 6 months depending where you brought your device. Mine was changed in Dubai at the Huawei service center

Anyone speak German please help

Hello,
I got my Lumia 800, and it's charging at the moment. But when I bought the phone from Amazon through FGS Trading, the box it came with has a sticker on it in German. It says:
"Neuwertig, gebrauchtes
Ihre Qualitätskontrolle 35"
Gebrauchtes means used...so does it mean I bought a new phone, but was given a used one?

It means mint condition too, kind of weird, but it states it's new yeah, but used to check some sort of quality control, maybe they opened it up to check.

Ah that's interesting to hear...Pesky Germans : )
But why is Gebrauchtes also printed on the label?
For me this sounds like it's not new. Looks more like a refurbished one that has gone through quality control to assure it's like new.
Maybe Nokia support would be able to tell using the phones IMEI?

That's what I'm thinking. I contacted the seller and we're going to sort this out.
At this point, it doesnt even matter right now because the phone won't turn on anyway Spent eight hours yesterday doing every trick/button combination possible.
I'll take it to the Microsoft store to see if they can do something.

Try a Nokia store, or you can arrange a repair if your phone has a warranty (which it should have). Check Nokia care online.

Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't have Nokia stores. I went to the Microsoft store and they weren't able to do anything.
I've contacted both Nokia and the Amazon seller. We'll have to see how this works out. I waited all of my spring break for a phone that won't turn on!
At least I'm still very satisfied with how well it's built. It's like an Alfa Romeo. Won't work, but take one look at it and all the negatives will be forgotten.
Meanwhile, I'll live with my HD2.

Here's the link to check regarding the warranty and repair services, they should have the phone or in your case a replacement back to you in around a week, as mine is coming to me on Monday. An American who knows the beauty of an Alfa, sweet.
If you bought it on Amazon, just return.

Of course, I'm waiting for Alfa to make its return to the U.S.
I tried doing a search, and this popped up:
"Device was not designed for the US market:
We do not have the capability to repair devices that were not designed for the US market. Please check the warranty information that was included with your device and/or please contact your point of purchase. If you purchased the device in the US and you determine that your device came with a US warranty, please contact Nokia Customer Care at 1-888-665-4228 for information. Please include a copy of your proof of purchase that confirms the device was purchased in the United States and a copy of the in box US warranty documentation when you send your device in for repair."
It makes sense, since my particular unit was imported from T-mobile in Germany by the seller. Maybe I should've shelled out the extra $50 for the Amazon-certified international one.

The Lumia 800 is sold in the U.S. at Microsoft Stores, but it only comes in a bundle with speakers and headphones for $800 (about £500). Amazon sells the international unlocked version for $550. As far as I know, they're the same version, except Microsoft won't sell the phone separately.

Broken Screen need replacement

I dropped my tablet corner first and the lower left corner smashed and the corner of the glass broke in lots of pieces
now my screen has 2-3 big cracks over it. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired in Asia or if in the US who can I contact for pick up, estimates and other stuff.
Go to Sony website to check out local Song Corp in Asia for services.
I asked our sony service centre in saudi arabia .a screen replacment costs about thesame price of a new tablet !
But may be cost varies from a country to another.
If you can't fix it, Id get a galaxy tab or galaxy note 10.1. Im dissapointed in my Sony Tablet. The only feature I lack on other tablets is the IR remote, which I sadly can't use as I don't have anything that uses it.

The sony service center in my area doesnt repair tablets does the screen replacement include labor?
If you have replaced your screen already then this is not nessasary but here is my plan for if my screen will crack:
Just send it back with the message that you had the little black cord attached on it, the one that comes with the tablet, and tell them that your cord snapped
just like that, nothing you can do about it you could give it a try right?

Not a common problem, but why didn't you just exchange it where you bought it from if it was brand new?
A more common problem is dust in the FFC and proximity sensor, though.

Because I bought if of someone they had it on contract and I think they bought it from someone prior to me so I am third owner it would be a nightwear trying to sort it out that way so this was the only way the phone is brand new.I hope I get it back soon it's a lovely phone in yellow.
Well I contacted them today via chat and the agent said my handset has been swapped for a new one and should be back this week it was unrepairable beyond economical repair. The phone itself was only 5days old what could of happened to it?I was going to claim the free wireless charger but if the details have changed can I still get it?
The free charger is only available or I should say was only available to AT&T customers only. That deal is now over. Also unless you bought it straight from AT&T then good luck on getting as it was not Nokia that was doing the special.
That's strange because I am in uk and on my box it clearly says offer is still valid for uk customers I have a unique code on my box.

[Q] Bricked Chinese Galaxy S3 LTE. Can Samsung Europe (France) fix it for me ?

I ****ed up with a custom rom and the screen is bricked (touchpad won't work at all no matter what rom I install).
I bought the phone during a trip to China, but I live in France right now and I would like to pay for a new motherboard.
On the Samsung France website, it says they don't accept phones bought outside Europe for warranty. I don't have a warranty so, I don't really care. I just want to pay for a new motherboard and get this damn phone fixed.
Is it possible in your opinion ? Thank you very much for your insight!

if it is not a chinese copied GS3, you have the chance of getting a new mother board. but if it is, just buy a genuine GS3.

It definitely isn't a fake GS3, double checked that before buying!
However they should do a paid for repair no problem if not then use another repair centre .

Why do u want to replace yr mobo when yr digitizer(touchscreen) is not working??? The touch screen comes together with the LCD and the frame as well its easy to change makes yr phone brand new again I changed mine. Don't try to just replace the glass although some has succeeded albeit a small percentage. Goodluck

[INFO] MOTO E broken Screen

My friend accidentally broke his MOTO E's display.
Unfortunately in India it's not covered under Warranty.
So took it to the Authorized Service Center and have to pay Rs. 2000 for a new Screen.
The whole process took less than ½hour.
Have you given it to Flipkart or Local Service ??

When i went to the service center the attendant told me that they will have to change the front panel of the phone (which includes display, touch and front glass).
He charged me Rs. 2000 for the front panel and no service charge as the phone is in warranty.
The address of the service center is- Novelty Plaza, Bareilly, U.P. India
Tell me if you want any other assistance.
