Pouch or sleeve for the Galaxy Fold? - Samsung Galaxy Fold Accessories

Just wondering if anyone is planning to buy a pouch or sleeve for the Galaxy Fold?
From where are you planning to buy one?

I'd like to know ideas for this. My screen is a lint magnet and I'm concerned that eventually some is going to get in the hinge. A pouch would be a nice idea.

Yes it will be a good idea to protect the $2000 phone which can easily get damaged.

For sure

I bought some sunglass microfiber pouches for a couple dollars on amazon. Works great...mildly inconvenient to deal with, but good for piece of mind.

Not bad but it can’t provide drop protection.
There are other options which can provide it.

@mastibeta, mind providing me with the link you used to purchase your Squaretrade policy?

What about this pouch from eBay:

Doesn't look too bad.

Not bad at all. I picked up a Nintendo DS microfiber pouch from a Diaso here in Japan. Been working great, before that I was using the glasses pouch a pair of Gunner glasses I got came in. It's been helping a lot with minimizing lint and debris

I use mine in the Spigen Thin Fit Case (as it has better camera protection) and it ain't bulky. I then carry it around in a Shocksock Neoprene pouch. It's a nice snug fit.

As there seem to be no screen protectors available for the front, I just got a Forefront Galaxy S10+ protector and cut it to fit. I also used a Galaxy S10 rear camera protector which I cut down.

It's nice to have almost full protection. Shame that cases that cover the spine aren't out yet.

If anyone is interested, I have a brand new fitBag in black color Napa leather made to specifically fit the Samsung Galaxy Fold. If interested please PM me.

**Update - SOLD

I've been using a neoprene pouch for my phones ever since I got one included with the Nexus One several years ago. I usually have a protective case on the phone too.
I get them from ebay and they are relatively cheap. I just took a look now and the type I use isn't available for the fold, but there is one with a flap and carabiner. It's what I would buy if I had a fold.

I have mine in the official Samsung leather case, which I then also slide into a Shocksock pouch. That pouch is such a good fit, it's hard to imagine it wasn't manufactured especially for the Fold. The price is right, too.

I got a shock sock from Amazon for mine, made of neoprene, it will provide some drop protection, again mildly inconvenient to use but worth it for the price. Keeps pocket lint away from the device and is splash proof
.

CASE FOR SGSII i777.

So I've been reading around and it seems that a lot of people are having trouble finding a nice and fitted case. Now I came frome a cappy to the i777 and I wanted somthing that was like the bodyglove case for the captivate. I found a case on Amazon that I thought would fit the i777 just right. It came in yesterday and it fits perfectly! Everythingis cut out where its supposed to be, yes even the noise canceling mic on top. Its not thick and it keeps the phone slim. Has nice grip on the sides so it doesn't slip. Fits the phone perfect. All in all seems to be an awesome case. And its only like $9 with shipping! Good deal!

I got the case mentioned in the OP but for 2.95 on eBay. Have to say this is one of the best fitting and best looking tpu cases I've owned. All the cutouts are spot on and its thin with ok protection for a tpu case. Way satisfied and would def recommend it to anyone.

I just got this one in the mail before Christmas (along with some screen protectors). This thing is good. double layer protection along with covers for the earphone jack and usb port. Feel as sturdy or more than otterboxes I have seen. Some people don't like the bulk but I like the thicker grip.

Is the case OP posted really rubbery or what? I'm looking for a slim case that doesn't stick in my pockets.
+ one more for the matte black TC case. Had it since a week after launch. Cut outs are all correct, (though I widened the usb and headphones cutouts with an xacto knife to fit aftermarket audio and usb plugs that I had - stock stuff fit fine with no mods) keeps the slim profile of the phone, and makes it fit my hand a little better, so less chance of drops.

I'm looking into the case that the OP mentioned. I found a five case deal on ebay coming from Hong Kong. I just got my phone (no case protection) and it'll pain me too much to see how long the shipping will take, it is free though.
I wonder if people are seeing good results on all of these cheap cases from ebay, by that I mean after a few months of use.
Question, OP
I'm coming from a Cappy with the excellent Body Glove TPU case. It was the best case I've ever had for a phone, and I was wondering if the case OP posted is flexible TPU, or hard, rigid plastic that can't be flexed. I wonder this because I need access to the back sd card and battery often, and the material of the case determines if I buy it or not.
Thanks for any answers to my question.

Slim Armor is not that good for protection, especially drop protection. It has like no lip.
Uag is awesome and they aren't as bulky as they seem in pics. I've had one for my S3 and S4 and they do protect extremely good against drops.

I had the UAG Scout for my Note 2. It protected my phone perfectly through multiple drops. The case never got scuffed either. It was pretty bulky though. No where near Otterbox Commuter size (which I also owned).

Now we talking that's what I need , I'm more so looking for protection from drops that cosmetic .
Only drawback is UAG won't be available for weeks to come according to their website
Otterbox or Trident would be the best for drop protection. I wouldn't consider any slimmer cases to be the "best" in drop protection. I remember watching a video where a guy just threw his iPad with Otterbox from the second story window multiple times. Nothing broke on the iPad.

I'd say the best cases will be either the Otterbox defender or the Armour version if one is made, the Seidio Rugged, or the Ballistic Maxx. All are going to be producing a case specifically designed to provide the maximum protection. I had an otterbox on the note 2 and it had been dropped numerous times down my stair and never a scratch. My wife has a Ballistic Maxx on her S3 and she is quite accident prone but her phone is unscathed. I think the Ballistic case is rated at a 15 meter drop distance. I'm not sure about the others.

I just checked otterbox and they have the email option for the Note 3. I have gotten otterbox for almost all my phones mainly for the belt clip, but I would love to see the armour series come out for this beast. I doubt considering it wasn't released for the S IV.

Thinnest case

I have a Spigen Neo Hybrid but I am looking for a thinner case that adds less width to the phone. Minimal protection is sufficient.

Too much bulk... And I've had bad experiences with bumpers messing up the signal. I don't really care about drop protection, just want to protect it from scratches and dirt.
Diztronic is the thinnest TPU I've used, it was ten bucks shipped from Amazon and fits in the holster that the Seido surface uses.

Only the corners are protected and it's actually one of the lightest cases and since it's made of rubber you wont have signal interruptions. Only metal bumpers cause those.
Do any of the suggested covers and bumpers raise the back to protect the camera?

Gumdrop and Poetic silicone cases

So gumdrop and poetic have come out with silicone cases for the 12.2
I just broke down and got my 12.2 900 from amazon since they dropped the price by $50 (starting Saturday this started just on the black version down a few $ then to $25 and finally to $50 off today and then they applied it to the white so both are $50 off - glad I was waffling). I thought about the VZW one since they had $200 off this month with the contract, and I like the fast charging and slightly quicker processor, but the likely lack of updates and likely fewer mods and no 64gb model made it a no go (that $35 activation fee blows too - so, sorry VZW you could have made some money...).
So I really wanted Gumdrop to come out with a bounce skin for it, but they said lets make a more expensive hideaway model with the terrible slippery/spongy silicone. This will be out on April 15th. I might consider it then, but this company is not making me happy not having replied to a single request for information I have sent since early February.
Poetic has two skin for the 12.2, the GraphGrip and the Turtle. The GraphGrip is out now and is a thinner skin for the 12.2, pretty cheap too. I got this for immediate use. They also have the Turtle which is similar to the BounceSkin in that it is a substantial silicone skin with lots of cushioning. This will be out April 15th too. What makes me hesitate with the Turtle is the weight, 12 oz.!!! This adds 3/4 of a pound to the device. For comparison my wife's bounce skin weighs about 4 oz. My thinking is that 12 oz. is too much weight to add to the tablet. Also both are only available in black.
So just wanted to update everyone on the silicone skins for the 12.2
I have the graph grip. It is HEAVY. Adds a lot of weight. Collects dust and dog fur. Otherwise it is nice. Certainly feels like some decent protection, but i went back to the cheapo case I got off amazon.

Yeah, shipping weight on the GraphGrip says 5 oz.
I wish they could understand gumdrop which hollows out the silicone creating "air pockets" which seem to provide a bit more protection while dropping the weight significantly. I'm glad it feels like good protection, I was worried it would feel cheap.

I like the gumdrop bounce skin case the best, but they only have it for the ipad. I really like the bulk to it, it feels right to me. They hollow out the silicone on the inside to make it cushion more and really drop the weight.
The poetic skin, graphgrip (thin one) is OK. The silicone gets a little tacky after use, and I like that. The weight is not bad.
Cons:
They scent it, I don't like this
It only just curves around the edge and does not extend over the buttons or sides of the glass. I would prefer they go to the edge, cover the home button and entirely cover the capacitive buttons but have thinned out the place where you could cut them out if you want them, I will disable mine this weekend when I root.
I don't think it will cushion the device were it to fall, it just give a bit of a grip.
The big skin I don't have, but it seems like it would be heavy (12 oz. is almost half what the device wieghs, too much for a skin), I bet it is because they don't hollow it out like gumdrop.
I bought the Poetic Turtle Case and sure it does protect the tablet but it is heavily scented and it is just noxious! I am soaking it in hot soapy water and drying it outside in the hopes that the stench dissapates. Too bad for the case! I will be buying a Gum drop just for this reason. Also, the Poetic case is tacky....very sticky, unlike a Gumdrop.
**** So, it's been overnight and the scent is still there after bleaching and soaking the thing and putting it out all night to air out. Why did they scent the thing? Why don't they put that in the description???? It is just such a nasty smell!

Is there any chance you can weigh the turtle case?
The graph grip had the Jasmine scent too but it is fading now to next to nothing after about a month of use. I don't know why they scent it pure silicone rubber has no scent. It might be a mold lubricating agent they use.
I would suggest not using bleach. Try dish soap like palmolive first (high SDS content) then if that does not work or if you want to skip it use febreeze. I prefer fragrance free, but any will work. Why febreeze? Because they use cyclodextrans to De odorize. These molecules trap scent or smelly molecules inside them and actually remove them. Try spraying it on your hand when they smell fishy or worse and you can't get rid of the smell with soap. Febreeze will work like a charm. I suspect in this case it will help significantly but it won't totally work since the scent will be dissolved in the silicone rubber. It will just take a bit of time to totally diffuse out and be gone. Febreeze will be your best bet. Just rinse it off when you are done, the cyclodextrans will just wash away and carry the scent molecules with them.

Very curious how easy it is to remove it from the case. I would like to still use my zagg keyboard dock, which would require removing the tab from the gumdrop case. Please let us know!
Surething as soon as I get it in I will report back!

Gumdrop case is here... fairly heavy however. Woll post pics later. Fits very very well on the device.

Do you mean this one: http://www.gumdropcases.com/device/...away-case-for-samsung-galaxy-tab-note-12.html
I am also considering to buy it. It looks like the Ottobox case I bought for the Note 2. I dropped a few times by accident. No problem. This gumdropcase seems to be the best to protect our very expensive device against damage from drop. Any comment on it? With the case, how difficult it is to handle the device in both landscape and portrait mode? Can you do thumb-typing easily as if the case were not there?
Hello, could users please post their experience on the Gumdrop case? The company told me that it includes a screen protector built into the case. I don't need to buy a separate protector. Wonder how good the screen protector and the case are. Is the screen protector a fingerprint maganet? I am using a screen protector from Samsung. It is a finger print magnet. Thanks
Does the raised area on top and surrounding the LCD screen interfere with handwriting, use of S-pen and typing?

I used their case and belt clip on my Note 3 and liked it so much that I bought it again for my Nexus 6. BTW, it's only $31.99 with free shipping for the combo at NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA07R2KH0242

It's not terrible but I do agree. I'm going to get a glass screen protector and tear out the plastic applied one.
The case is the most important thing to plus the price.
Sedio is a great case but way too much $$.
I have been using the Supcase Unicorn Hybrid case (the Supcase with the smoked clear back, not the heavy duty one), with the Seidio holster made for the Surface, and it works great. I also tried it with the Dilex holster, but that was a tad too big, maybe better for heavier duty cases.
I'm actually using the Seidio holster with i believe it's the Seidio Surface case.... got the bundle on Amazon i believe. No complaints here.

Have you ripped out a built in screen protector before? Wondering how easy it would be. They are nice cases, but with a glass SP, I don't need the built in one.

Almost to easy .
I real prefer the touch or feel of glass as opposed to plastic film.
