Anamorphic Lens for Mi 9? Ulanzi? - Xiaomi Mi 9 Accessories

Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy an Anamorphic Lens for the Mi 9 within a decent price range. The Moment Lens for +150$ is too steep.
Any advice?
How about: https://www.ulanzi.com/products/anamorphic-lens-ulanzi

My advice is to buy one with supporting case, like what Apexel has. It might be pricier than Ulanzi one but at least it will fit right into the lens with no manual fiddling required.
The case: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33046103267.html
The lens: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33045304187.html (pick one with universal clip, otherwise you will get the case as well, but none for Mi 9)

Thanks a lot!
Do I understand you correctly that I should:
1) Buy the case for Mi 9 in your first link
2) Buy the lens + universal clip in the second link
?
Would you know how the lens performs in comparison to an Ulanzi lens?

The case looks bad from the picture, the mounting system is only on the top lens it seems... (The top camera is actually telephoto) believe me, tested it on my device...

Apaxel....

Yeah, I agree. I think I will go with the Ulanzi because it feels more quality.

How did you resolved that? Bought the Ulanzi? Happy with it?

HTC Touch HD Mobile Phone Telescope

Hi,
has anybody tried this out already? Any feedback?
Looks quite interessting, will buy it in the next couple of days, I guess.
Best regards
johnpatcher
I've got one made by 3M which I bought off Amazon. It is very fiddly to get on and off and line up with the lens. A clamp spring keeps coming out so can't clamp it onto the phone easily. The position of the lens on the Blackstone is such that the clamp presses onto the volume button and the clamp is not secure on the phone as it has to protrude over the top of the phone above the lens. When I tried to take pictures using the zoom to maximum the result was a picture with a part black round circle around it. You could crop the circle out of the picture but then you are left with a small photo.
I've quickly done something with telescope and without attached for you to assess. It takes a long time to get it lined up correctly because the lens it too high on the Blackstone.
Actually it looks like that Brando one may fit better as it does not have clamps like the one I've got. I see it has a separate back that will work much better than the one I have. Will be interested to hear how you go with it if you get one.
Hm, not really amazing results at all . Have you noticed any better results without any zoom, or is this telescope just good for zooming in?

Lenses for Nexus 6

Anyone using any lenses, like wide angle, fisheye, macro, etc. on their Nexus 6? If so, can you share any information and pics/videos of your set up? I was thinking about investing, but not sure if I should go with the clip or if I should go with a magnet one (also not sure if there is a magnet built in around the camera ala the Nexus 5).
I am a total noob when it comes to this stuff so any help would be awesome. Also, apologies if there is another thread on this topic, but I did not have any luck finding one.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but there was no magnet built around the Nexus 5's camera. Yes, people were able to mount the magnetic camera lenses to the N5's camera directly, but the only thing it would have been attaching itself to would have been the mechanisms for image stabilization, basically making that useless with the lens on, and also the small possibility of causing some sort of damage to the system in some way down the line.

I will second this. Do not put something magnetic near your camera. You will break your ois.

I just bought these. Reviews seem to be pretty good, and they're only 15 bucks.

How did these work out for you? Fit okay?

They fit ok. You can't have a case on the phone, though. They also have to be used from the top, instead of from the side.
Does it cover up the flash ring?

Pretty much. It has to, to not interfere with the actual camera.
Ah well... I don't know the last time I used a phone flash anyway. ?
I got some for my old iphone 5s and it fits the Nexus 6 fine, fits in the black ring on the camera so flash is fine. Only few £$ on ebay.

Lens attachment

Is there any lens attachment\case like wide lens or tele lens for UTC U11? I cannot find any on Google. I saw something like that for galaxy S7

Not one built on to a case like that but lens attachment s are a dime a dozen.

That are mostly clips. I thought about something more stable like case. Maybe there is some universal case which can be used. I didn't found any yet.
:EDIT
I've found something like that. Do you know any other? Do you maybe have some experience with them?

There wont be a case made that you can attach lenses directly to for this phone, it is not popular enough with case makers. Also, that one you posted, that is ridiculous. Buy a DSLR if you want a professional camera.

I spent a bit of time looking for something for the Honor Note 8 (similar size) about a year ago and couldn't find anything big enough, so I ripped out the lenses from the google cardboard and 3D printed a body to hold the lenses and the phone No idea if there's anything now.

What am I supposed to do with that?
Well I have actually a Xiaomi Mi Max wich is around the same dimension and using the "Fiit VR 2S", it's fit perfectly in it, event if part of the screen is hidden. I stop using it because the pixel density was not enough on my phone to be really usable. But otherwise I was pretty happy of the results.
I'm sorry I cannot give you a purchase link as gearb**st as stopped to sell it and I cannot seems to find it with a really short search... Hope you could find one.

Does the MI A3 really have a Metal Frame?

It feels really light to me, feels plastic.
And the dark plastic case feels flimsy to me too, so need another case
You're right. It's plastic
Plastic bro??n glass

Super fragile phn..
Display die fast after one fall only
I looked at all the youtube videos and their stress tests and they tested the metal frame and when i bough this it s plastic
Lol, I never watched a single video that claimed this phone had "metal" frame.

Companies usually dump worse models in the third world but it appears we got the bad end LOL
So does it have gorilla 5 on both front and back?
Unbox Therapy says it glass on metal as well

the Mi A-series is supposed to bring flagship experience to the midrange
So even thought the SOC is neutered, the camera and build quality should have been top notch!

Build quality is good, camera, SoC and battery life is more than sufficient for what you get for $250. It's just software that's complete BS. Limit your expectations to a reasonably level, it's not a flagship you pay $999 for. No Android One device was supposed to " bring flagship experience to midrange", nor any of them made that claim.
Android One is pretty great if you have third party Apps to go. Now you can build your own UI without getting encumbered by all the rubbish they put in !!!
The Mi A3 is pretty good apart from that rubbish 720p screen kills it !!
Would have accepted the 720p, in order to get the metal frames like in those youtube videos...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtkxxNmUsEQ
They should have added the metal frames and rubber seals with or without a IP rating....
What about the Mi 9 Lite (CC9?) does that have a metal frame?
Too bad this phone is too large
Metal frame, rubber seals, SD card, 1080p, IMX586, big 4000maH battery.....thats how you build a killer phone....
Alas Xiaomi is trending in the wrong direction!!

For the price, you get what you pay for... Remember it's a $220 phone, even if it's not xiaomi, what would you expect to have in a phone at this price?
And please don't mind if it was a little off-topic.
