Customer service on a Tab4 10plus on a keyboard/case - Thinkpad Tablet Accessories

Hi
I purchased a Tab4 10plus with a bluetooth keyboard case. One of the plastic clips that holds the case to the table broke the second time I used it. I have gone over the Lenovo website carefully and can't figure out how to file a warranty claim. Does anyone have information on how to file a claim? The website seems to be structured to discourage claims.
Thanks
John

Finally got hold of support for the keyboard case. They offered to sell me a replacement at full price. Claimed it was abused and that was the best they could do. I intend to send it back for a refund. This will be the only and the last Lenovo product that I purchase.

I have the keyboard case for 6 months, that plastic clip wouldn't break easily, but I think you could buy a replacement unit for around 10 bucks, why not search on eBay ?

XDA spares or repairs

Hello
I have purchased a broken XDA a while back to repair mine, although I haven't used any of it. I am told that it has a fully working screen and battery.
the case is A1+ as is the pen, cradle, and the ear phones.
the screen has no scratches on or any dents any where. the leather o2 case is non used and is purfect.
would like about £45 though just make an offer.
good condition though sold as non working as I cant be bothered to fault find.
thanks rich
also would have thought that if any one was to test and find the fault it could be repaired or stripped for spares...
any one interested dropping to £30
I'll take it for £30
sorry snapped up for £30 on ebay
thanks all the same

XDA IIs stylus

I know they are relativelyinexpensive item, but when I broke one & lost one I went out to buy a replacement. I could get any number of palm stylus 3 for $9 or 3 for $19 but none that fitted my XDA IIs. Then I went online and found the cheapest I could get mine was 3 for $30. Has anyone found any cheaper ones?
Also be aware of the 3 in 1, if the tip comes off for the pen, it can get stuck in the clip that holds it...
Good point about the 3-in-1 stylus. While in Hong Kong, I tried a few different brands until I found one where the cap didn't come off. I had to use needle nose pliers to pull them out. It is better to find this item at a retailer because you do want to test them. It is a great accessory though.
Replacement Stylii
Has anyone had any luck finding replacement styli for the Blue Angel? Mine broke last night, and I can't find the second which -- theoretically -- came in the box. I found my styli for my old XDA, my XDA II and some plastic one for an original Palm Pilot I still have laying around... <sigh>.
Anyway, I see them up on eBay -- and the sales prices aren't too bad. But the shipping and handling are three times the cost of the stylus -- and the price "break" for ordering multiple items only makes shipping for the additional items cost as much as the stylus itself!!!
Anyway, any direction you can point me would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
has anyone found a cheap stylus yet? i would be willing to buy in bulk and sell them at cost to everyone on here.

Bought the actual "Viewsonic" Gtablet Case at Sears...

So I went back to sears the other day and attempted to barter with them for a price difference, that failed. They said they cant adjust the price, regardless of me knowing about the discounted units on sears outlet.
Anyway, while I was there I saw they had a bunch of cases for the G-Tablet. They are only $6.95 each so I bought one.
Looking at the packaging, you can see on the back it says "Re-Packaged by" some company. So again this is just some 3rd party item viewsonic is reselling.
After opening it, I see a "Case Logic" tag. My guess is it's a case logic Ipad case, as it doesn't fit the gtablet snug at all, still a few inches of extra room once it's in there.
Also, this thing STINKS! Like really, it stinks. My whole kitchen smelled of the stanky ass neoperene used on this case, and after putting the gtablet in there now the gtablet itself stinks of chemical/neoprene. I am going to have to try and febreeze the thing and/or hang it outside for a while because the smell is so strong it is actually giving me a headache, and now that the tablet itself smells like it it doesn't matter if I have the case nearby, lol.
I'll post some pics up later. Just wanted to write my first impressions on the case.

It's a Neoprene Sleeve with Handles and a second zippered area to put the wall charger and other accessories.
It's this, http://www.buy.com/prod/case-logic-...-10-ultra-portable/q/loc/16234/207985259.html
Just re-branded as a Viewsonic GTablet Case :/

And the savings continue.... When to Marshals and bought a cool Targus Netbook pouch for $7. ust re-branded as a Viewsonic GTablet Travel Pouch.
BTW Sears has the G Tablet for $340 if you get a 2-year complete replacement plan ($50). It even includes wear & tear.... Replace, repaired or your $$$ back... No questions asked. Still below the $399 discounted price. I think it is worth it.

[Q] Cracked Digitizer, Need Advice: Replace or Scrap?

Alas, I dropped my tablet about 3 feet onto a tile floor, sliding mostly flush along the wall and striking the tablet edge.
I immediately felt the twinge of anger and dismay. Upon inspection (and later confirmed by research online), I had destroyed the touch screen digitizer but the LCD was left intact, as evidenced by the functioning picture. This seemed to be good news until I talked to two repair shops; even if I provide the parts, they're not willing to replace just the digitizer alone, as it is deemed "too risky".
Online I've seen digitizers in the range of $40-$50 CAD and LCDs in the $70-$80 range, with bundles between $100-$130 (+shipping costs, unless I get free shipping and wait a month for the parts to arrive from the Far East).
I could potentially buy the combo digitizer/LCD replacements for about $120 CAD, wait a month, then pay $50 for installation - or, get it done right away for $200-$220 including labour.
I just bought my sweet, sweet love a mere 6 months ago for about $510 CAD including tax.
Here are the facts:
Repair = Appx $200
I currently have a $100 gift card for Best Buy.
The Tablet Z appears to be discontinued.
Here's my dilemma: is it worth it to replace, or should I sell it for parts on eBay ( and maybe get $100-$150)?
If I got, say, $100 for parts, used the $100 gift card, and "saved" the $200 repair costs, I'd have $400 towards a new tablet.
But Future Shop/Best Buy (Canadian sites) have a fairly poor selection of tablets. The only benefit to shopping there is to use my gift card. But the closest thing that I'd want to even consider (that is even somewhat comparable to the Tablet Z) is the Galaxy Tab S 10.5" and it's $519.99+tax (total $587.59)
I'm very sad and ambivalent...ambivasad, if you will.

Possible "Bad Batch" of Logitech 12.2 keyboards?

In the past month, I have tried twice to buy a "new" Logitech Note Pro 12.2 folio keyboard. The first, from Ebay, arrived and I touched its keys and immediately heard a weird crunching noise. The keys would not really even depress. It was obvious to me the keyboard was a retread... packaged to look new but horribly faux repaired. I sent it back for a refund. So then I went to Amazon, and bought one from Amazon. Unbelievably, it too was obviously a badly repaired and repackaged broken keyboard -- the right shift key was actually coming off, and underneath it a bunch of glue and white plastic preventing the key from even depressing. I just contacted Amazon and am returning it immediately. I really want one of these... they are on sale all over the place for around 46 bucks (give or take). But I'm very wary at this stage of buying any of 'em. Sigh....
Update: Just bought a kinda raggy taggy one for 35 bucks from a guy who'd actually used it. It has some wear, but at least the keys will work. Anyway, just a heads-up for others looking.
That was a good price as BestBuy is asking $93.99 now.
Did you buy them from Logitech, or a random seller?
In my experience you should always buy these things in a sealed box from an official reseller store. And if they're 50% cheaper than the retail store, that's never without a reason....

I do tend to live on the ragged edge. A missionary's budget doesn't allow for a lot of squeaky-clean geekdom. The two keyboards purchased were from resellers, but large ones -- one actually sponsored directly by Amazon.
This last purchase, counter-intuitively perhaps, I have made intentionally from someone who is selling their keyboard they personally used. At least that way I know it works. Cheapest they are new is near 100 bucks, even now. Will let everyone know if the keyboard works for me. Heh.
Just be careful out there buyin'.
Blessings.

Keyboard came, works fine.
My first keyboard years ago had a hidden flaw that took a year for me to notice. The sync button was broken. I bought a used one for $33 and it works fine.
got a new one directly from Logitech and it had a broken Bluetooth button. They sent me a new one and I opened the faulty one to see if i could fix it. I have to say I wasn't impressed with the flimsy nature of the button & switch.
Uh oh. I just ordered an ebay one. I'll keep my fingers crossed until it arrives.
Edit: I got mine and it seems fine. It was sold by seller: winnerauctions for $41.99 and he's got more than 10 left to sell for anyone interested. Mine didn't come with an instruction manual or the original cable, just a generic cable and the keyboard wrapped in bubble wrap. But it works and seems not to have the issues others have mentioned above.
Just picked up one on ebay for $30 shipped. Hopefully no issues I can't work around. Did notice there are A LOT of them up on ebay for $40 or less listed as refurbs. Can only assume Logitech does have issues with these.
