[Q] Ram Usage in ICS

So, i've installed the 452 CH firmware with prerooted img yesterday.
I am experiencing quite "high" ram usage, with almost all applications closed via the system (not with a task killer) i have "only" 200mo ram available.
I used to have around 400 with GB.
Is it the same for everybody or do i have some bad app using all my ram ?
I've heard that ICS was better at handling cpu & ram ressources but i'm still a bit surprise by the difference between ics & gb.
This is NORMAL. Live with it.

it a Linux/Unix system... that means, the Ram is allways full - but dont care, thats give you more speed to launch some apps... and if you look nearly, mostly every process in Ram is flagt as "inactiv" or as "empty" - so if another application will need more Ram, this emty and inactive processes will be kick out of the Memory.. A full RAM dont means in a unix sys, thats no space for forground applicationd..
its also god for your CPU and Battery usage... because a Application wake up out of RAM need less CPU then boot an Aplication from the Ground... and less CPU means less batteryusage
its a Linux, not a Windows
Okay, it's a bit like windows 7 memory management compared to win xp.
Thank you

[Q] Simdo D98T fake RAM size

I purchased a Simdo D98T from Pandawill. While the phone isnt pretty and the touchscreen is not well calibrated, I was impressed with the antenna quality: best wifi and GPS I have seen in any phone.
The phone reports 1G of RAM, but the lowest I have seen free RAM has been around 639MB. Programs are closed as soon as you put them in foreground and Firefox even closed on me while working, while still reporting around 640MB of free RAM.
Can the manufacturer reportan incorrect amount of RAM and tweak the kernel to use only part of it?
>...
The RAM might have been used by system.. Actually 1GB RAM should be 800MB+ available for users.

Thats the issue: the kernel closes programs and available RAM never goes under 640MB.

Ram usage

My last phone before v10 was Nexus 4 which was amazing on the ram side because of the stock firmware(400-600mb) , now on my v10 its 2.5 GB , now i can stand a non fastbootmode phone but this i can't stand , can you tell me how to reduce my ram usage into a reasonable amount ?
Android uses ram efficiently. Unused ram is wasted ram basically. Just because you have higher ram usage..it has nothing to do with your phone being slower

With 4 gb of ram, there is nothing to worry about.

Ram Management on POCOF1

#PocoF1 is termed as #MasterOfSpeed but giving only 3.4gb of memory for a 6gb phone is unacceptable!Ram management of this phone is simply ordinary.
Please retweet the issue guys
Free ram is wasted RAM in an OS like android, as it becomes almost full, it will automatically clear the oldest apps so you don't need to worry about that. If you're rooted you can use ram management tweaks like changing minfree values.

To run everything quick and smooth. It keeps everything in RAM to access instantly. This happens with most of the phones with 4GB + ram. Don't worry about it

i too was puzzled why , yes free ram is wasted ram theory but i have not installed most of mine own apps yet .surprised nobody bother , what if this phone come with 4 gb ram , it would be maxed out easily
That's not how android ram management works, if you would have 4 GB of ram, the phone would load apps on background up to 2 GB. Free ram is wasted ram, miui ram management is aggressive enough already. You guys need to understand that the phone automatically closes down apps when more ram is needed.

good to hear then , i have been manually closing background apps ,guess a habit , back in the day when ram was 1 gb or less, it was precious, haha

Why my total RAM Is 3.5ghz on 4gb RAM and avaible Is Always 20%?

I cant understend how the RAM Is management in this phone.
800mb RAM avaible (with no One app open)
3.5gb RAM Total
But the phone Is 4gb version.
I see that of i open pubg at max settings It Is smooth and the RAM still Is 800mb.
The problem Is that the phone in dailyuse its not really smooth and fast like it should be.
Do you advice me to change rom?
Im using stock MIUI 11
