Thanks for all your work

Hi, thanks for this! kernel is the same as pie to build?

Thank you for your ongoing maintenance.

ROM install hangs
Tried this one yesterday. Got TWRP reinstalled after an issue with another rom and going back to 8.1/Oreo. Followed the install instructions here to a T. On the initial boot, I get the multicolor G in the middle of the screen and Powered by Android at the bottom. Then the screen just sits on the G with a status bar (?) continuously crawling. I left it running for about 7 hours before turning it off.
I'll go back to 8.1, then to a ROM with 10 (probably Resurrection Remix even though I had some issues .Not insurmountable!!

Is anyone else having a problem with this ROM getting stuck in Portrait mode, even with rotation enabled. In fact, when it gets stuck, turning rotation on and off does nothing. Even restarting doesn't help. Have to power off, boot to recovery and then system to get it back to rotating.

I was pretty sure I'd done a clean install but just to be sure, I started over. Factory reset wipe, flashed ROM, flashed Magisk, rebooted and went through the setup routine and re-installed my apps. Everything appeared to be OK and the screen rotated without a problem. Powered off and booted to recovery and made a backup of the new install. Rebooted to system and arrgghh!! Back to stuck in portrait mode!! Powered off and restarted. STILL STUCK!! Powered off again and booted to TWRP and then to system and the screen rotates again. I have installed many other ROMs on this tablet, including six other Android 10 ROMs, and this is the only one with this problem.

I kept getting stuck on the boot screen
At the G , would just keep going sometimes all night8-9 hours.
Then about a week ago I got up & was half asleep & thought I'd give this another go, so i flashed the pixel 10 rom then rebooted back into recovery & mounted system but I forgot this ROM already had Gapps
Included so I installed BiTGApps-arm64-10.0.0-v.6_signed.zip but before installing I added the config.text file for BiTGApps to root of internal storage
Then installed magisk 23.0 & then reboot & it worked straight away.
I've tried this method a few times with this ROM & it works every time.
The only problem I've had is chrome crashing as soon as you try to type in the search bar other than that it runs perfectly.

For Android 11 you will need to use GSI image now .. Treble version like here ..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/development/sm-t585-treble-project-t3834538
I have no time to work on this stuff .. hope to find the time to build "normal" android 11 ROM once the source are public .. this autumn.
Cheers

Hi,
I thanks a lot for the ROM, downloading as I type.
I have a Cedric on AEX 8.1 build, I gather to install this one, I'd go wipe / flash / wipe cache / reboot?
thanks,
Thanks. Installed it yesterday. So far it's working fine, default camera and google camera also works, only moto camera fails to take any picture. It seems the default camera fails to write the image/video if I change the storage to the external SD. Internal storage works fine.

Hi, did you check that your fingerprint sensor is working after install?
I lost mine after installation.
I installed by wipe / flash / wipe cache and that didn't work so went back and wiped / flash / reboot / completed setup and noticed sensor would not come up in setup so looked for this all over the place and I think I lost it somehow.

That must have been it, my moto never got 8.1 stock, I was on AEX 8.1
will try that and confirm
I don't know why but only on this ROM I get an error if I will play Pokemon GO, on LineageOS 16 works it with magisk. And the soft keys let still not disable.
If I will change/add things in build.prop, it is on next boot lost.
If anyone is havin problem in safetynet, just install the magisk ianmacd in the github "Magisk-v18.1-2019010401-ianmacd(2019010401).zip" version, and install the module SafetyPatch, and reboot, after that the safetynet will pass.

I think it took 5 minutes, more or less. Before installation I was on stock Oreo. I wiped system, data and dalvik cache partitions.

Did as suggested, loaded twrp flash-able Stock8.1, not even reboot or complete setup, loaded this rom, wiped cache / dalvik and phone rebooted with Pie PixelExperience no problems. I am going to give it a go and let you guys know how this goes.
thanks a lot.

LiveDisplay doesn't work
Thank you for your continued support of v500!!!!
Edit: Dirty flashed from 4.7, SystemUI force closed at first reboot, no other issues so far after reboot.
Useless panic mode is finally gone, now I can tap the back button as many as I want!
Awesome. Flashing now...
EDIT: all looking great so far but tomorrow fails CTS & basic integrity. Any chance this is on your list? I really don't want to root... Thanks again @beroid
Thank you so much @beroid !
I hope you can fix the camera in future. But since it never worked on oreo it seems to be really hard to fix.
Is there a recommend way to use microG on this rom? For now I used the official Los 14.1 builds with microG included on my g pad. Any help is welcome
Thanks again!
Many thanks! It's the first of my devices to run Android 9.
I dirty flashed from Oreo & I had black screen after boot logo on first boot. Forced restart using Power & Volume Down & everything working perfectly.
Everything running smoothly & the ui is very beautiful. Feels like I just bought a new tablet
The brightness slider is not calibrated though since the first half is just about 1% brightness, but it's not a big deal.
Please add an option for Network Traffic on Status Bar.
Here's a little video I made showing the ui:

Thanks a lot :highfive: :good:
Sadly no go for me. Even flashing just the ROM itself caused my V500 to boot loop right after getting to the home screen. Clean flash by the way. Perhaps I can try a dirty flash later on.

Already running 3.2.3-0 which I believe is the latest. Unless if there's some unofficial version that is more up to date on things than the official version that I'm not finding via XDA and Google search?

I clean flashed with stock opengapps and had no problems at all. Seemed like an incredibly long first boot but set up worked and haven't had any issues.
Also clean flash here, NO problems whatsoever ! :good:
Formated user data, system and dalvik cache
Flashed Rom, gapps and magiks
All like in the installation documentation is mentioned.
My tablet installed all very fast and booted quick in to new android 9. Perfect ROM!
Thanks to beroid for his heroic work.
Just donated via PayPal, I hope a few more will do that ?
using cdDroid with microG
So I finally had time to Update from LOS 14 (microG version) to CrDroid 5.1. I made a clean install and used nanodroid to patch microG.
Results: Rom is really smooth and battery life is great. Only problem: It seems that integrated signature spoofing is not working actually. From what I've read this problem is affecting most custom pie roms. I hope this bug can be fixed in future.
Other than that a really great experience for now. Except signature spoofing and the mentioned bugs in op everything runs perfect for now.
Thanks again beroid!
Looks like it might be something kernel related that's not working on some of our V500's. I just tested BR Kernel 2.0 which is for Oreo ROMs. It booted just fine and runs fine except Wifi doesn't connect to the Internet (and more than likely no camera). I've tried dirty flashing with no success as well.
I try twice to install. When arrives to wifi screen it reboots automatically
Before I'll go with my V500 - could someone, who already have this ROM, check if support USB-DAC still isn't working on-the-go?

I meant that this ROM is a purchase incentive for the X3 - i.e. PixelExperience is so good that I might buy the X3 if the feedback for this ROM release is good.
So keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to your first users' feedback posts. :good:

Which app is working for FM Radio on this ROM?
So far working good for me!
I haven't done much testing, but the only small bug I noticed is if I'm watching a video on YouTube, press full screen, and then try to rotate the phone to view in landscape fullscreen, it exits fullscreen mode.
Shout out for the good work with this rom!
My experience (no pun intended) so far is surprisingly good. I was expecting at least some bugs that i've always came across with even PE stable builds in my past devices (unreliable proximity sensor during phone calls and BT pairing with iDrive 6 with the MiA1, RN5, MiA2 and RN7), but no. Everything seems to work just fine for my surprise. Thanks a lot!

No, at least not for now.
When goes official to your device?
Does google pay work without Magisk? It passes safety nets? I don't need root.
Hello, actually on latest miui rom, followed the steps as told on the given link, on first post, but it's buggy as hell on the setup steps at first launch, dunno if it's only me, but here what I did:
- installed latest orange fox recovery (alpha 6)
- booted on it
- flashed latest miui eu through recovery (12.0.3.0.QJGEUXM)
- reboot to recovery again
- flashed pixel experience rom
- factory format (The format data step is not so clear, I tried only the data partition as well, with or without flashing dalvik)
- reboot to system
When I'm at the system step, the "search for updates" usually makes the phone reboot, it's taking a loooooong time to pass this setup steps.
I finally managed to pass the setup steps, but it took me more than a hour to pass this.
I'm pretty sure it's a pebkac, not the rom at fault or else, so if you have any idea on what was my mistake, I'm taking any advice here
PS: Also tried with twrp, tried to flash mieu eu rom from recovery, and from fastboot, etc...
EDIT: Also, thanks for reading my question and for the work here, I love pixel experience rom, would love to have it on this phone

Great Job,
Hi, I tried installing this rom on my samsung a205gn using twrp recovery. I wiped dalvik, cache, data and system. Then I formatted the data and typed yes. After this I flashed this rom. It seemed to have flashed successfully. But after rebooting into system, the phone just turns off and doesnt show any lights and won't boot. I can long press down and power button and it brings me to samsung logo saying that the bootloader is unlocked. But after pressing the power button again it just turns off. I hope you can help me.

I am also having this issue with most of A11 Roms, and only A11. I have installed DotOS 5.2 back in July and it booted successfully, fast forward last month I have installed it again and I was thrown into a bootloop I fixed it by installed R9 Kernel. I have tried to fix this by doing so but it didn't work for me, maybe I have done it wrong but you can try and see for yourself it could be that it requires a certain Kernel version to be installed before it boots.

Thank you, I totally forgot about this thread. I actually managed to fix it. 2 days after getting bricked, the phone somehow got its battery completely drained, and when I plugged in the charger, for some reason the phone booted into twrp. I managed to get to download mode and flash the stock rom.
Currently, I'm using the crdroid android 13 rom on this phone. Apparently you have to flash a file called dm verity force encrypt or something after flashing the os to not get a bootloop.

I do that i have a universal file I use after every rom installation. But i'll dig into it even more later. Also there is a fix for that without having to wait until the battery is drained. I found it on a Telegram group:
BSOD - Black Screen Of Death !
You can't go into download or recovery mode? Well then, you are stuck in BSOD.
Note: your phone is turned on but the screen is off (black)
How to fix:
* Connect a usb cable to your pc but don't connect it to your phone yet!
* Force restart your phone by holding all buttons. As soon as you press buttons, start counting.
The phone will vibrate about on the 12 secs
* Now, when your screen is black, hold all buttons and count again. When you reach 11 secs, quickly release all buttons and hold power + vol down + vol up buttons. Also connect the usb cable to the phone.
Your phone will then boot into download mode where u can flash stock firmware again.
P.S: It's hard to get the right timing. So you have to keep trying till you are able to get it else you have to wait your battery to be 0% so that it turns off automatically..
Sir i'm an a20 user and i'm in need for an AOD for my phone. Cought you please extract me the AOD app from the rom,I want to install it on my stockrom via package installer. (Please)
what downlead is it. on curseforge under a20 there are 3 folders names T S and R. what one is the correct one for a205yn?

Are those stock A12 icons or some icon pack?
google pay works fine?
Everything working so far. Thanx for your work!
One thing is missing: seperate ringtones for dual sim. Is this feature removed from stock Android?
fine
Is it possible to update from crdroid 7 to 8 without data loss?
Hello everyone I have a crash error when I try to install any APK
Thank you, i like it a lot!
I have a problem with Monet Engine. I could set a custom color and make adjustments the first time i used it. But now I am stuck with nuclear-waste-yellow because the color picker has no effect anymore.
Using gestures, is there a way to remove this bar? While turning off the navigation bar in cdroid works; the back gestures(swipe right or left edge) stops working .
What changed from 8.0 to 8.1?
Hey great ROM! It works pretty well with MicroG so far.

Have you found any solution/workaround for this problem? I'm facing the same issue on version 8.1.
The feature was working without a problem until I started customizing other things (no idea when it stopped working though).

I still have the problem with 8.1. Resetting the "crdroid" settings reset all other settings, but the accent color stayed the same and cannot be changed.

Sure. I know some ways:
- Flash pill_killer_twrp in PE_Begonia Telegram group. It worked with some A12, some error show but it worked. And I didnt test with this rom, you can try.
- Use G-Visual Mod Magisk but it wont total clear space, just make it shorter
- Some said Fulllscreen/Immersive Gesture (Q-S) Magisk Module work but I didn't use it also

worked Like a charm, thank you very much.
I don't know if this is an Android 12 thing or a thing with this device, but I have not been able to get USB audio output working on this ROM or the LineageOS 19 one. Any ideas? Kind of need that feature.
No boot after flash.
Redmi logo, restart, then twrp.
Twrp is the linked version above.
Flashed like the manual above.
Version 7.x boot. Version 8.x no boot.
Come from Global miui 12.5.
