9T-Pro Global EU QFKEUXM - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Guides, News, & D

This is a thread specific about the 9T Pro 6(8) GB - 128(256) GB Global EU QFKEUXM version.
Please keep discussions, tips and other items strictly about the Global EU version.
Last update was to 1.1.0.5. version MI11 Android 10 with security patch date 01-01-2020.
So security update to 01-02-2020 will be coming soon.

Hi
Was this an OTA update?
Would 9t be the same as the k20 pro?
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk

The 1.1.0.3. version MI11 Android 10 with security patch date 01-10-2019 was an official OTA update from Miui10 to Miui11 Android 10.

Thanks for replying. My phone is sitting at 11.0.1, and I am not picking up a OTA update. What could be the reason?

You're probably on the MIUI global rom that's (for now) 'stuck' at 11.0.1. Whereas the op is probably on MIUI's EU/EEA rom that's 'already' on 11.0.3.

Thanks. I am indeed on the global Rom. What are the differences?
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk

I honestly have no idea. I used both and I only noticed 2 differences:
1. The global rom says LTE in the statusbar and the EEA/EU rom says 4G
2. Swiping up from the home screen with stock launcher opens up xiaomi browser on the EEA rom and Google search on the global rom.
I googled a bit but haven't found no official statement from Xiaomi. Some people say there's no ads on EEA but I honestly never had ads in MIUI wether it be global or EEA.
Other people say the EEA rom (finally) complies with the European GDPR which makes sense and also means that there's no access to the theme store. Tho the global rom already has no access to theme store if you set your region to the EU countries.
Both EEA and Global lack features like the ultra battery saving mode (for now), so I honestly don't think there's much of a difference, despite the version difference (11.0.3 and 11.0.1).
However there might be differences in update frequency but I haven't figured that one out yet. All I can tell is that the EEA rom received Miui 11 way faster/earlier.

Thanks so much for the super detailed response. Interestingly, so I believe, I'm on the global Rom and mine says 4g and 4g+
Not sure how related or unrelated it is but I am able to get Vowifi on my p20 Pro but nothing at all on my xiaomi [emoji24]

The Global EU Rom has to comply to the EU law for privacy protection and uses for example the Android Phone interface.
The eventual Ad's that can be shown is completely dependable of the users choice and you must allow or refuse it during setup and when already setup you can revoke you choice of showing them and switch them off.

The update for global finally arrived. 11.0.3

You can see what version you're running when you hit the ''My device'' section in settings and take a look at the exact MIUI version.
For example mine (global) says ''11.0.1.0(QFKMIXM)'' whereas the EEA/EU rom says ''11.0.3.0(QFKEUXM)'' so you can basically tell the ROM version apart by the ''MI'' or ''EU''

Anybody already received the November security update for the Global EU?

On Global, not global EU
Sent from my Redmi K20 Pro using Tapatalk

On Global the November sec.update came with the update to Miui 11 and Android 10, unfortunately not for the EUXM Global.
Now it is waiting for that or the December security update although the January update is almost finished by Google now.

Who's suffering?
No! Better service for me and for all.

Today started new update 11.0.4.0 with bugfixes and december security update

Received the message on my device yesterday and went to the update checker.
It showed with a red dot that there was an update but after I checked manually it couldn't detect it anymore.
Strange.
Will try later today.

It's the same for the global version so this update might got pulled back.

Official Global ROM for REDMI 3?

Hello,
I got this amazing phone about a month ago. Since then I am stuck with MIUI 7.1.3.0 (EU version) and no updates. I really thought that Xiaomi are good at ROM support, but I can only see they update the Chinese version. Will they ever release updated global version of 7.2?
I even doubt that they will release Android 6.0 on Redmi 3. What do you think?
you will get a miui with 6.0 , don't worry
just don't wait this to happen soon
first they will update the flagships (mi4/mi5/mi note) then the redmi's phones
if you want regular (every week) updates then you must have a dev rom , this rom updates every week , the stable , obviously, needs more time
Your MIUI 7.1.3.0 (EU version) is not official ROM, your seller just flashed some custom build for you. Xiaomi has not released Global ROM for Redmi 3 at all. And when Xiaomi will release Global ROM you will need to flash it manually, it wont get OTA update since your current ROM is not official.
Hello from whom did u bought that phone? Im interested, but a lot sellers are out there for redmi 3 on aliexpress. Can u PM me the link? Thanks in advance! @nikola_proynov

I bought it from HonorBuy. But this is not the cheapest place you can find it. I chose it because they ship from EU and there is no bothering with customs.
Sorry for answering after a month

First Xiaomi Mi 9 official MIUI ROM is available for download!

The new flagship by Xiaomi, Mi 9 and its ‘lite’ version have been released earlier this week, and we saw a good move from Xiaomi by released the kernel source immediately after the launch event, but stock ROM took some time.
Mi 9 series has three devices, for now, the most-powerful flagship Mi 9 (codename: cepheus), the pretty Mi 9 Transparent Edition, and the first device with Snapdragon 712 in the world Mi 9 SE (codename: grus)
We, at Xiaomi Firmware Updater, was able to get the first official MIUI package for Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE, although it’s not available on MIUI China website yet!
Mi 9 MIUI version is V10.2.5.0, while Mi 9 SE one is V10.2.3.0, and both of them are running Android Pie (9.0) unlike some leaks reported earlier.
Download Mi 9 Official MIUI V10.2.5.0.PFACNXM Here
And as usual, the new devices will be added to Xiaomi Firmware Updater once the stable ROM becomes available publicly.
Wrong thread
I noticed that MI9 appeared on Xiaomi.eu page.
Does this mean that this is global ROM ?

Thanks in anticipation...

Hi all. I purchased a mi 9 last week from a Chinese seller in Canada. I dont know if its the global version, but I assume not since all the preloaded apps are Chinese. How do I check which version do I have? And are there instructions for switching to the global version? Thank you
Hi @AlexZanf
Would you mind running the Camera2 probe from the play store? I'm interested if it says max image is 3000x4000 or 6000x8000?
Thanks

That's funny, I downloaded miui_CEPHEUSGlobal_V10.2.3.0.PFAMIXM_e3aaed0507_9.0.zip and copied it to my downloaded_rom on the phone but when I go to Settings/About Phone/System Update and tap the 3 dots, I don't get the option "Choose Update Package".
I clicked on "Download Latest" and it downloaded and installed, but it's 10.2.15.0 as it was before I started. My model is the same as yours at M1902F1G.
I'm a bit confused. What does the EEA version mean?
Cheers

OK after a quick Google, I found out you need to tap 10 times on the MIU logo which then enabled the option.
I tried to install the above, and got an error message saying:
Can't verify update
Sorry, Flash older version not allowed.
So I'm in the same boat as you!

It's nearly not a mistake . Nearly means it's a common practice on Aliexpress to sell chinese versions of Xiaomi phones with Global (or fake Global - like in your link) ROM.
So it's pure K30 but with unlocked bootloader and installed multi-language ROM.
The more important - read the item description carefully:
"CN version China ROM: Only Support English and Chinese, Support NFC and OTA Update(may NFC function cannot be used in some different countries)
CN version Global ROM: Multi language, Support OTA Update, with Google play store, No NFC (Unlocked bootloader for installing Global rom, Android Pay, Netflix, some banking app might not supported.)".
Poco X2 is a global version of Redmi K30.

International x global version

Sorry If i'm being dumb but i am considering getting a Mi A3 this week and i want to know If I can find out If its global or international right at the store?
I saw some have an extra simbol on its back like an C.E. what does It mean?
What is the diferences between booth versions? I Heard some dont run apps like Netflix and dont get OTA ... is that right?
Thanks
Global and international are the same thing.
The 2 versions are EU and Global.
The differences is the EU version respects European legislation when it comes to data protection and the like.
There is no difference. They are exactly the same. You can flash EU onto global and vice versa.
Global version receives updates slightly quicker than EU version also

Question Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G Reflashed Global Version

I live in Brazil and bought a Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G due to it's good price on Aliexpress, on the Mi Official Store. I will receive a open box, because they will reflash the ROM from Poco X3 GT Global Version to it.
I'm afraid about my security in buying a phone that it is previously handled by them. What can I do about it? Is that a legit concern? What is the difference between a reflashed rom and a global version?

This phone only exists in Chinese version and it has flashed the global version of the poco so that you have for example a multi-language version because the original version is only in Chinese or English and without play store.
With the unlocked bootloader you can install custom roms.
There are two security, the bootloader and the Xiaomi account, you only have one left.

yeap but some services(google pay) and apps will be unavailable due to the unlocked bootloader resulting in an uncertified play store.
