I think I haven't seen a list of Applications with description regarding of the apps to remove from the firmware. I'm browsing 4PDA forum and found this and decided to share it here. Credits to Shaggyboggart of 4PDA for compiling this. You can find it's original content MOD EDIT: link removed This applicable for all xiaomi stock roms with locked bootloader who wants to stay locked and debloat their rom. It's a long list so let's start.

System monitor power consumption. You can delete if you realize why. When uninstalling, the Settings> Battery and Performance item will become unavailable . But you can get to it through Security> Battery . In the same menu, the item “Energy Saving” will disappear , but it actually eats more than the usual mode.

The stock (MIUI browser) is not critical, but I highly recommend leaving it. He is better friends with MIUI services. And in general there are no requests. When deleting, you need a substitute, respectively. Unless of course you need a browser at all, then a substitute is not needed.

Download or start up your favorite build.prop editor. (ROM Toolbox is what I use)
After opening your build.prop editor, look for persist.splitwindow.support_all (located a little above the middle of the list)
It'll say False... So simply change it to True and then reboot.
Now test it out. You'll notice real quick why this setting isn't enabled... Not all apps have been scripted to support this feature yet. Feel free to post screen shots of apps that work nicely with this feature "unlocked".

That was the first mod that I did after rooting my Sprint LG G3 - I went to the Play store and download the pay version of "Multi Window Mod" for LG G3, and you can add only the apps that you want and organize them any way you want - more like my Galaxy S3 with "Multi Window Manager"
I have about 175 apps total so having them all in Multi Window Choice doing it via a Build Prop mod was to overwhelming for me. Yes, I do use that many apps (some more frequent than the others)

Hello! I'd like to ask the community about something I've been interested doing as a project for a phone I plan on buying, I've looked around and I see lots of tutorials, but they don't quite meet the very specific criteria.
My problem is that I want to buy the "Umi C1" (click click for more info o: ) and the UI on the Stock ROM is awful.
I've looked around and there's apparently a way to modify ROMs using another phone's ROM files.
I was thinking of using the "HDC ONE M8's"(fake HTC one m8) ROM files and transferring them over to the C1's ROM file. (Both phones run the MTK6582 SOC, both have 1GB of RAM, Both have 16GB of storage, both run 1280x720P panels...)
Is this in anyway possible? Both roms are Odexed. (new to this, looked around on how to deodex roms and found a tutorial but I'm not sure how things will go first.)

Hello!
You can't move the whole content of a ROM made for a specific model, to another ROM made specific for a different model.
The reason for this is because the ROM also contains native libraries (drivers) that are specific to the hardware of the phone, and are not specific to the Android base code.
In other words, you would need to port the UI and framework only, not simply move all the files and even this is not very straightforward unfortunately. If you only want some minor (or major) changes of the home screen and application menu, then there are plenty of third party launchers on the market that should do the trick for you.

well all know about adaway which block ads in rooted device
but some user like me face problem that ad blocker not working in
custom rom android 7.x.x or official miui rom so here is the solution...
first download the latest version of adways from here
then of it and grant super su permission (if you use magisk the enable system less host in magisk manager setting)

I had problem with accidentally updating my Oreo 8.1 SGS9+ to Pie while being modded with Swift Installer. It failed. So I had to flash stock Oreo rom with Odin to get it working. I did a factory reset to get it running because it couldn't optimize apps.
On clean Oreo I tried to restore my old progress by logging to my main Gmail. As it always worked on all my devices in the past. But FML now everything refuses to work.
When I tried to log at the welcome screen and restore data from the old device (same model same system) NOT create new it shows something like this

I'm looking everywhere for a solution as I can't get past welcome screen and i won't create new (exactly same) device because I don't believe at all that Google won't overwrite the data I NEED.

What should I do. I even flashed lineageOS 15 as i thought its Samsung fault as its also based on oreo 8.1

I have skipped the welcome screen to add account and see what will be restored. NOTHING no call logs, SMS, calendar, and of course no apps. Play store sees only 10 random apps when I can easily" count on my fingers" to 50
how to get out of engineer mode. as it appears on the screen. Since the OEM unlock is gray state o disabled, my bootloader is open and I want to close it is Motorola One Macro
