[ROM][7.1.2][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 weekly builds for Moto X Play (lux) - X Play Original Android Development

Hello,
@Liam__ mentioned that this needed its own thread, thus I'm creating one.
I've been building LineageOS 14.1 from the official LineageOS source repository for my personal devices for some time now, and it finally occurred to me that others might find them useful.
These builds are created every Saturday night from a 100% unaltered LineageOS repository, which is synchronized with upstream every day. I must stress that there are NO MODIFICATIONS at all; if it worked/didn't work in the last official Cyanogenmod/LineageOS releases, it works/doesn't work in my builds. At Apple we called these "sustaining builds" -- they keep devices in sync with the latest security patches, but receive no new features.
Lux is at https://lineageos.disavowed.jp/lux/. There are other devices being built as well ... if you would like me to add a 14.1 or 15.1 device to the weekly build roster, please let me know.
I hope this helps out folks who want to extend the service lifetime of their gear. Share and enjoy.
The source repository used to generate these builds is the stock LineageOS repository, located at git://github.com/LineageOS/android.git. TheMuppets binary repository was used for the vendor blobs; it is at https://github.com/TheMuppets/

cool thx
EDIT:
works stable for me.

@ wileyc
Excelent idea!
Thanks for your work.
I am downloading it now.
ADD: Installed. It seems stable and bugfree. Nice work!

hi bro thanks for updating our dear moto x play. can you make a rom lineageos 17?

I have detected the following problem related to bluetooth, when sharing files via bluetooth from my moto g7 power to moto x play, in the folder where the files are stored, these cannot be opened, they appear with the following size 0.00 B , I am using is file explorer, I tried to move the folder to downloads but it didn't work, but if I copy them to the downloads folder, of the internal storage, then they already have their real sizes.
Here I have a bug report: https://www.mediafire.com/file/4u7jli70743doc6/bugreport-NJH47F-2020-02-05-22-48-24[1].zip/file
Here I have a LOGCAT : https://www.mediafire.com/file/g1woueekdgdznx6/logcat.txt/file
Also at the time of saving the error report on the external sd card, I could only see that the folder was 0.00 B in size, and it was empty. I tried to move it to the internal storage and it did not work, I tried to copy it into the same external sd card but inside another folder and it didn't work.
Then I copied it to the internal storage in downloads and I could only see it with its real size.
Then, I moved and copied the folder to the external sd card and still the same problem.
When I activated the option to transfer files to the PC via USB, I could not see from the PC the error report file that was on my external sd card, then I took out the external sd card and put it in the micro sd reader of my pc and I could see the error report file correctly.
This does not happen in android 7.1.1 stock.

thanks for your rom 2020-02-09

found los-14.1 for athene, thank You so much

thank you.

@wileyc
Is it normal for the sd card to suddenly disappear as if it was removed?
Is it normal that i had to insert 4 times the sd memory to be recognized?
SD memory works fine on other smartphone.
I have the last build 2020-09-08
Is my X play crashing?
In LOS17.1 2020-09-06 the same also happens

-I recorded a call with the speaker activated, and the recording turned out like this: The audio was heard loudly, and the same voice was repeated, but in low volume, that is, there were 2 voices, 1 more, the first in volume high and the second in low volume, but they were the same voice

does anyone know how to compile this rom? because the guy discontinued these builds.
Notice: LineageOS build repository discontinued. | disavowed.jp

i'm dumb and old.

And I might add I can't find an "archive" of the most recent builds, the link goes in an endless loop...
I'd buy this device if I can find a Nougat ROM with a good camera and VoLTE

A bit too experimental for me but I'm thankful for your efforts in bringing CM13 to lux!
Let me test it for you I will provide log
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your effort!!!
I will test it with my dual sim XT1563 and I will give you my report.
Again, thank you SO much.
GApps
A bit more testing I've been doing seems to indicate that GApps are causing most of the instability. The GPS also seems to work fine when GApps are nor installed. So for now, I'd recommend not installing GApps, or looking for a more stable alternative to OpenGApps.
Oh man, am I ever happy that squid2 develops for lux! THANK YOU! I'll try it out over the weekend and provide logs and feedback
SD Card not working for me. Keeps saying unsupported. Don't want to lose my info, so unsure which option to choose. Otherwise running good. Going to try flashing Banks Dynamic Gapps 6.x.x. Been using that on my victara and n9, so hopefully won't run into errors on Lux.
That was a clean flash as well
Dual sim not working.Sim not recognized
THANKS YOU SO MUCH, i try this now and give my report, keep working pls, you're awesome

I got that option, just wasn't sure if selecting either would cause issue. What did you choose, and did it wipe your card?

What is the current filesystem type of your SD Card? It might be expecting FAT32 for that option. At least for FAT32 it doesn't ask you to format.

I'm guessing not fat32, lol. I haven't changed anything from when I first put the card in the device, and I've been using it just fine with your previous builds.
Actually, it's probably NTFS, since it's a 64gig card. Bummer. I'll just deal without using sdcard until you get an update out, since fat can't do higher than 32. Is there anyway you can make it so that the ROM isn't only looking for fat32? Or is this a MM limitation
i prefer this gapps dynamic package:

AOKP - ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP ?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

All the thanks goes to Lemlis, Genetic and all who helped him to port it.
What is the difference between Lemis port and this one?
I just downloaded this rom.
I also see that in your thread says that the rom was made by GeneticEnginer (ROM and Kernel)
Can you tell me what is the basis of the Port that I take Genetic?
Do you know that for any rom that wants to take Port as a base, you must ask permission from the developer before publishing it? Or at least give him credit?
I do not see any point in making another CM13 thread when there is already one that if you have my permission to use it, where it helps to make it stable.
This rom is not from Genetic, 99% is from my Port that I made at J5 2015, you just changed the buildprop and kernel.
This rom uses my meta-inf from my previous versions that I did, use all the libs and framework I add in my Port bit by bit, In conclusion you made it very easy to do the thread, in J5 it takes months of work to be stable, Now you take my rom, my files and you do not even mention me and make it happen like yours or genetic?
@The Merovingian Can put rom without permissions and credits in xda? This is not a violation in xda?
Here some captures what is the same as my rom (I have doubts, download my rom in J5 2015 and compare the files are the same)
Sorry, two questions
1: what wipes are the exactly needed?
2: and why not format the internal memory? If I format the internal memory, I would have installation problems?
I ask about the internal memory because I like to make installation as clean as possible!
Thank you !!

they're now part of the google apps and their source code is proprietary.

Setup a full backup before tryin' to install this.
I wiped everything else than storage, then i installed your ZIP trough recovery. I did not flash SuperSU or Magisk after flashing the ZIP, i am using twrp3.1.1-0 and i had the Pexorom installed before.
Did i bootloop my phone because i didn't install a proper SU (don't think so, but i am unsure)? Tried your 10.14/.15/.18 build on my F5121. Even tried a few F5122 builds, but the bootloop isn't evadeable.

Bluetooth and GPS does not working after weekly OTA upgrade. It's been happening after every OTA update and I have to reflash my phone each week. I hope you are able to solve the issue. Thank You
Does miracast work? I don't mean Chromecast.
I don't know if it is a bug or what, but why i see "serial port console is opened" on startup? As i read on the Internet it is something kernel-related,but i haven't installed any kernels. It is annoying.

Same happens with me. I always install using downloaded zip from official site and flashing it from recovery. And this is the only way it works perfectly. For me at starting location didn't work. But found a quick fix.
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
Any ideas which gcam fits? Right now taken trCamera from somewhere, works for now. But compaired to pixel2 pholos, darkened and blurred. And im afraid will also be broken(clearing app data dont help, app saves photo idk how and where but if try to resend via Telegram - will be error, and also 'dat photos not imaged in gallery). So i think its both gcam and rom connected(via Telegram any images can't be saved at all).
Can provide logs if needed.
I have a Motorola One Action - I know I'm in the wrong thread, but there is no solution to the following problem in the appropriate thread and I assume that the LineageOS builds of the Motorola One smartphones are similar.
My Motorola One Action cannot establish a Bluetooth connection for telephony, either to a headset or to a car.
Of course, Android Auto doesn't work properly with that either.
(What works is the bluetooth connection to a pure bluetooth speaker.)
Does that work for you?
Or above all, if not, have you found a solution?
