Fossil Gen 5 Smartwatch - GPS Issues - Fossil Q Founder

Greetings. Over the holiday season, I received a Fossil Gen 5 Smartwatch. One issue I am encountering is with GPS functionality when the watch is not connected to WIFI or connected to the phone via BLUETOOTH. This happens for example when I go out on a run.
My current procedure entails turning WIFI and BLUETOOTH on the Fossil watch off, and placing the watch outside while I wait for the Google Fit app to acquire a GPS signal. This typically takes 3-5 minutes. Then, once the GPS signal is acquired, it tends to toggle back and forth between "GPS Acquired" and "Acquiring GPS". This intermittent GPS connectivity tends to cause some very unusual map generation at the end of the activity, and I also call into question the distance measurement of the app. Is it switching over to the pedometer method of counting steps when the watch does not have GPS connectivity?
Has anyone else experienced issues with GPS connectivity with their Fossil Gen 5 Smartwatch? Has anyone been able to improve GPS performance?

Yes I am having problems. I use Strava for running and cycling. It tracks my rides fine, but I think that's because I have my phone with me. When I go for a run without my phone Strava hasn't recorded one correctly. I have started using Nike Run Club for runs because of this and it seems to be OK, so I am not sure if it is a Strava issue or not.
Sometimes using the Nike app it has the right distance but segments are not showing on the map when I've finished so maybe it isn't. Didn't have any problems when using my Huawei Watch 2.

[Q] Note Edge w/ Gear S - Constant Disconnection

So I have the Gear S along with my Note Edge. Before that it was with my Note 3.
Anyway here's my typical day of Bluetooth connections.
- Gear S (All day)
- Google Glass (Data only, no voice)
- Car Bluetooth (Voice & A2DP)
- Bluetooth headset when walking (Voice & A2DP)
- Passport Max 2 Escort Live.
So I connect to 4 of these at one time.
But what has recently been happening (I believe with the latest Gear S update)...
is this friggen watch disconnects EVERY TIME I add a new connection to my phone.
I seriously don't know what's happening but it's a major annoyance making sure my damn watch is connected, it's suppose to be a set and forget but now I find myself fiddling for minutes every hour re-connecting it.
When I automatically turn on a device (headset or walk into my car) The phone automatically drops the Gear s and connects to the other device, this has not happened with my note 3 or with my Edge at first.
Anyone else experience BS like this?
It's very frustrating , my auto lock is set on my watch and I always walk away from my phone, this watch has become essential to my every day. I still have a Gear 2 and a note 3 I'm gana try and see to isolate the problem.

Use a Android phone as GPS Car tracker - need application

Is there an Android applitation which can be used as a GPS tracker in a car?
If I have an Android phone lying always in my car, I need a program that I can install and via a browser see where the car is right now. Live realtime tracking..
I would also like to see the current speed, intercept the car via phone microphone, and If I park the car and someone move/stealing it, I get an alarm immediately.
Could enter the gasoline prices and how much the car run on 1 liters gasoline, for an approximately record of average speed and mileage hours
try real-tme GPS tracker 2 by Greenalp or Geozilla.
dunno about "intercept the car via phone microphone", but for GPS live tracker, there are ton apps on playstore..just search "GPS tracker"

Stratos - connected to the phone via magic?

So here's my concern. My stratos with the latest firmware when not in the airplane mode connects to the phone when phones wifi and bluetooth are both on (using bluetooth for wireless headphones) and after im done with headphones or something that uses BT besides watch I turn it off. Same goes for wifi. But then i noticed that my watch is still connected to the phone in amazfit watch app. I can see battery status, watch uploads sport info,I even can test for notifications and there you go - its shows in watch. So I am little bit lost here, how does these two talk between them if bluetooth and wifi are both off? Had pace few months ago and i havent got that problem. It wouldnt be a big of a problem but i noticed slighty drop in battery life. Phone - xiaomi mi a1. Both international versions.
You gave the the app permission to turn Bluetooth on.

Amazfit Bluetooth drop issues

So I have an amazfit bip connected to the s9 plus but I am facing one weirded issues after few days the watch disconnects automatically and I have to reset network settings on my s9 plus and then it connects works for few days then again the same initially I thought the issue is with phone but my car Bluetooth and my bose speaker works fine with out any issues
Same issue here, using P20pro and BIP.. I havent seen any repeatable action regarding this, it just occasionally disconnects. I've got a watch face that shows connection status and sometimes it changes from connected to disconnected and back but Amazfit app shows "disconnected".
Isn't BIP supposed to work with MFit instead of Amazfit? Remove the companion app and Bluetooth from any battery saving on your phone.

Helllo! I also bought this watch for cycling training mainly but I found it to be a scam! The watch has 80 sports without being able to display data for all of them, it just boasts that it has many sports. The main problem with cycling is that it does not recognize the Cadence And Speed sensors. The above sensors are the main cause of indoor measurement. Cadence is also an important element for cyclists. Another nonsense that this watch has is that it tries to locate GPS in the internal cycling profile, for what reason?
Has anyone connected Bluetooth Cadence and Speed sensors to the watch?
I imagine NO !!!
