Unofficial TWRP
Instructions:
1. Enable OEM unlocking in the developer options, then unlock your bootloader. Motorola Bootloader Unlock.
2. Install minimal adb and fastboot. I recommend using the portable version. Minimal ADB.
3. Download twrp from below, and place it inside your ADB & Fastboot folder. Then reboot into fastboot mode by holding Power + Vol ↓.
4. Right click "cmd-here.exe" inside of the fastboot folder and run it as an administrator. Type the following command;
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Then use Vol ↓ to select "Recovery" on the fastboot menu of your phone, and hit the power button.
5. Once twrp boots up, swipe to allow modifications. Then select wipe > format > type "yes". Now back up to the main menu of twrp and select, reboot > recovery.
6. Once twrp boots up again, select mount and check the boxes for data, system, and vendor. Then flash the Universal Encryption Disabler from 5/21/19. (See attachments.)
7. Back up to the main menu of twrp once more. Select mount and check the boxes for data, system, and vendor again. Then flash Magisk v19.3 from either your internal or external sd card and reboot. (See attachments.)
Download: TWRP G6 Play
Additional Features: This build now supports OEM, Vendor, Boot, Recovery, and System image flashing.
To do: Add decryption support, modem & dsp flashing, and the ability to erase modemst1, modemst2, and DDR for full firmware support.

English only!!!
And please try to explain why you couldn't flash a twrp image

This twrp is 64 bit?

Works on xt1922-3, thanks for uploading!

thx!!

The file is no longer available!

Ditto.
Was just about to embark on my new ROM search since AT&T axed service for my G6 Plus and I had to buy this new Play.
No TWRP, no ROM loading,

You don't want this TWRP if you are going to install any of the newer Android 11 ROMS in this group, you need the 64 bit TWRP. Use that image. There is another thread for that version.

All the links to Android 11 Roms are deaf anyways, at least the ones that don't ship with gapps. I tried downloading an 11 build without gapps with no luck. Phh Android 11 gsi doesn't have a working camera so I had to go with Android 10.

Guide: How to install updates after TWRP/ROOT

This is just my guide for updating. i wrote it down because i tend to forget how i did things when i want to do it again.
i am no expert. there could be better ways to do it.
Update after twrp
This includes a factory reset.

Do a backup before you do this!!!
1.
Activate usb debugging
Power off the phone completely.
Press and hold the Volume Up and Power button to enter Fastboot mode.
2. fastboot flash recovery stockrecovery.img
3. boot into recovery (volume down+power)
install from SD: UL-ASUS_Z01KD_1-WW-14.1064.1711.96-user.zip
4. start system.
Factory reset
than shut down.
5. boot into recovery (volume down+power)
install from SD: latest update

What do you mean? The firmware? You can download it from the Asus website.
Does anyone know the current procedure for updating the ROM stock via TWRP. It looks like we should download the full updated firmware and the Magisk. Restart on TWRP, and flash the ROM and then the Magisk, one by one. Can anyone confirm?

You just answered your own question. That's how it's always been done, doesn't matter whether you got a ASUS Zenphone or a Galaxy S phone from Samsung for that matter.

I do not know the procedure for updating the ROM by TWRP, do you know? Can you tell me more details?
I want to say that in the normal way I know how to do it, but I'm still not sure how to update the ROM via TWRP without losing Magisk and Xoosed (if you're using it)

I use Magisk, but not Xposed. These instructions are based on the assumption that the bootloader is unlocked, and that TWRP is already installed on your device, and that the Rom in question has already been copied to a USB Stick via OTG cable:
01. Boot into Recovery Mode (hold down Volume Down + Power Buttons)
02. Always make a [Nandroid] backup (via USB-OTG, saving data on USB Stick preferably) when going from one Rom to another; Save separate important data (texts, call logs, documents)/apps prior to Rom Install using backup utility apps, e.g., Titanium Backup.
03. Sideload your Rom (via USB-OTG, copied onto USB Stick preferably)
04. Hit WIPE – Do a Factory Reset: Wipe Data /Cache/ Dalvik. Hit Back
05. Hit MOUNT – Mount USB-OTG. Select the storage device. Hit Back
06. Hit INSTALL – Browse for the Rom (zip file). Install Rom
07. Remember to Flash Google Apps
08. REBOOT the System
09. Complete the startup wizard and give the phone a 10 to 15 minutes before the next step.
10. Now reboot into Recovery and flash any mods/theme or kernel compatible with your new ROM.
a. Remember to 'wipe cache/dalvik' after flashing kernel

That way I would lose the Magisk, XPosed and phone settings. When flashing the original ROM, it will overwrite custom recovery (TWRP). I would like to know a way to update the original ROM without losing anything, understand? It is possible?

I can tell English is not your native language. If you notice under instruction #2:

That implies that your settings will not be saved, and refers you to other means to backup/restore them; a) creating a Nandroid backup within TWRP will backup the OS/Rom (and installed apk's) but no settings, data, files, etc., b) Titanium Backup does a number of things, if not all of what you inquired a/b. I would highly implore you do your research and due diligence before plunging into something blindly that you're not well-versed in which seems to be the case here. Just b/c I mentioned here what is it that I would do in your situation doesn't mean it works best based on your use case scenario. Hope that provides you more, and better clarity.

Of course, English is not my native language.
But I had read, I really did not have much practice in doing this by Titanium backup and recovering these settings. My initial question was: Is there any way to flash the updated ROM without losing anything? I realized that there isn't.

Thanx Guy God Bless U !!
Thank you ! all happened normally here God bless you !
I'm coming back here to explain how to update the ROM stock using TWRP and the Asus Flash Tool.
Some guys who are experts say it does not work, but there are videos on Youtube showing that it is possible to do the firmware flash directly through TWRP, I did not do it because of the risk of the softbrick.
These are the videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HebmIzuAfS0&t=194s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thEDEvA5UUs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzBQz1x4xfg
It may also be possible for "adb sideload xxxx" in the sideload option of TWRP (use TWRP version 3.2.3, which is hard to find on the internet), I have not tested it.
In my procedure the TWRP will be lost:
1) Download RAW firmware ZE554KL
2) Install ASUS Flash Tool (in version v2.0.1 does not seem to work), I used version v1.0.0.45.
3) Now, with your phone turned on and your debug mode enabled.
4) Open ASUS Flash Tool ((it does not matter if the model of the device is not listed)
5) Select the RAW firmware you've downloaded.
6) Click on the Serial Number of your device.
7) Click Start. I do not remember, but I think now the phone starts with TWRP or you start custom recovery and then put it in FASTBOOT mode (if you do this before Asus FlashTool will not recognize the device).
8)Start the process on the start button (I can not remember if it has to start again), and then the RAW firmware will start to be copied. The phone will reboot again through TWRP, do nothing until the process is finished (check for TWRP and Asus Flash Tool), then just start the device. Recovery will be back to normal and the device will have the firmware updated.
*I could not attach twrp3.2.3 and Asus Flash Tool (v1.0.0.45) because of the size of the files.

Nokia X6 with Custom Oreo ROM - How to load stock Android Pie 6.1 plus image
Hi,
I bought a Nokia X6 in September 2018 (6GB/64GB) and would like to install the Stock Nokia 6.1 Plus Android 9 image.
I see my phone is rooted and it shows the message "Your device has loaded a different operating system." everytime I start it and I have to use Magisk to hide several banking applications.
The phone works great and I knew it was going to be relased in Europe eventually, but I am scared to brick it by loading the Android 9 Image.
I already tried attempting the update through OTA but the zip file is ignored. Nothing happens.
I am new to this forum so I don't know if my question has been asked by someone else.
Can you please help me?
Thank you!

Device Wont Booting After Pie Install

Unfortunately Installed Wrong Codename ROM On My poco f1
after that my device goes in to fastboot mode
and i cannot access recovery mode because fastboot everywhere
if i press volume up + power button = fastboot mode
if i reboot = fastboot mode
if i plug in to charger = fastboot mode
then i flashed mi global stable build from miflash
still device booting in to fastboot mode automatically
after that when i flashed miui 9 device booted up successfully then i updated to miui 10 oreo from system update
but when i try to update miui 10 oreo to pie from ota/twrp/fastboot device automatically booting in to fastboot mode
after that i tried android q dp4 gsi guess what device booted android q gsi successfully
Tested All pie custom roms also same issue
it means i cant install pie
dont know what is happening exactly
DOWNLOAD
"beryllium-9.6.27-9.0-vendor-firmware" AND PUT IT on sdcard/usbotg and FLASH it via TWRP from
https://mirror.akhilnarang.me/MIUI/beryllium/
then flash any pie rome + GAPPS (if needed) +magisk19.3(if you wana root) and reboot
the device will boot
Xiaomi Poco uses Modified Vendor image ! that why it needed to be flashed saperatedly!
check and let me know!
edit1
if you cannot access recovery! BOOT into recovery via fastboot command line (while Poco is connected in Fastboot mode to your PC) and your PC have all driver installed. Open Minimal adb and fastboot
fastboot device // to check connection
fastboot boot ..... and Drag twrp from desktop and DROP it on CMD window ... then ENTER,
your POCO will BOOT, while its on Yellow LOGO, try to put USB OTG drive so that Twrp can READ its contents for you to Flash! , usb otg plugged AFTER twrp boot usually don't get red! ... OR better put flashable zips in sd card using any adaptor

THERE IS NO NEED TO FLASH VENDOR if you going to flash ANY MIUI!
make sure you have correct build/version of MIUI 10.3.5,
some times, if DATA partitions is CORRUPT then click on FORMAT data, type YES and it will wipe the WHOLE device! encryptions will be reset! then place MIUI10.3.5 and check!
remember, to take backups!
if miui 9 has worked then this means the downloaded miui10 is not the correct one!
No I can not.
When installing any system MIUI ANDROID 9 PIE the phone is rebooted to FASTBOOT

some times, if DATA partitions is CORRUPT then click on FORMAT data, type YES and it will wipe the WHOLE device! encryptions will be reset! then place MIUI10.3.5 and check!
remember, to take backups!
if miui 9 has worked then this means the downloaded miui10 is not the correct one!

This worked great! Only problem I had was unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP without booting up caused the stock recovery to overwrite it again for some reason. After repeating the steps after unlocking it worked. Also, if you have the same problem as me with Magisk being unable to bypass the safety net, try this:

I wish I found this before I sunk hours into learning what build prop editing is

I already mentioned in the video regarding re-writing of STOCK recovery. For that when we reboot after typing
fastboot reboot recovery
Immediately press volume down+ power button till you saw the recovery name at the bottom om the phone screen and leave the phone it will boots to twrp that's it.
What is vbmeta.ing?

It did boot to TWRP with just the command, though. It just didn't save it for some reason. Still no major problem or anything. Your guide worked in the end and I'm happy ! However I noticed GPS is terrible now for some reason. When I'm on WiFi there's no problems but as soon as I go on mobile data: my weather app can't refresh anymore, Google Maps thinks I'm 50 meters from my actual location and the GPS is always turned 90 degrees away from forward. Is this a common problem?

OEM unlocking always wipes your data no need to mention things again and again.
If you have TWRP first click wipe> format data >yes now reboot back to TWRP again
now click MTP disable and enable it now see if you are able to copy files.

i updated install instructions. Also don't forget you must be on MIUI 12.5.7 firmware base.
I downloaded MIUI 12.5.7 but everything is the same.
Now when i write .\adb reboot fastboot the phone reboot itself on FASTBOOTD.
I tried everything but nothing just change because the xiaomi’s stuck on bootloop.

You downloaded MIUI 12.5.7 is a good start but you could have alternatively download and flash only the firmware base which is only about 100MB. Also I see the instructions were not 100% clear, hope this will be clear enough for you. Also before you do, backup your files!
1. You supposed to go into bootloader, not fastboot.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
2. Flash boot.img and vendor_boot.img files through fastboot command on your PC.
Code:
fastboot flash boot_ab ./boot.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot_ab ./vendor_boot.img
3. Now you need to go into recovery mode. It should say pixel experience recovery on top of the screen.
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
4. Select Apply update -> Apply from ADB.
5. Now sideload the zip file through adb command on your PC
Code:
adb sideload ./PixelExperience_renoir-***.zip
6. You may need to format your data so it will boot properly.
Above commands are examples but might be different on your type of operating system you're using, so take them as example, not the exact command that will guaranteed to work.
If you're still having problem then, there's underlying problem that i'm not aware of and hope someone else will help you to flash it.
Hi, I don't get it I tried everything can't make it work. I finally flashed vendor_boot, and booted on TWRP 3.6.1_11-0 in order to manage to side load on Renoir, and I get this error all time (with the 12 and 12 plus official release of pixel experience) as on the picture.
Could you help me, it's been 6 month I don't manage to installé any pixel experience on this phone. First time I' m stuck with a smartphone ever ... Official/gsi nothing works, I only manage to flash the MIUI ROM and lineage os....
I'm desperate .

TWRP doesn't support Android 12 yet, you need LineageOS or Pixel Experience recovery to sideload.
Edit: Follow instructions here: https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/renoir/install/

TWRP will never work but while you're on TWRP your base should be on V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM, flash that first in TWRP and then maybe try flash boot.img and vendor_boot.img and go to recovery mode. Without it you will never be able to install. Please give me details what your phone is, is it 5G variant with renoir codename?, is it global or china?, did it had MIUI 12.5 or 13?, these informations are necessary.

It had MIUI 12.x and it is a "eu" phone, I tried to flash the V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM (miui_RENOIREEAGlobal_V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM_325e38b5bf_11.0) from twrp it's not working with the same errors messages. I don't really know what to do, i managed to put back my 12.6 beta stock miui from "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Lite5G_21.7.7_v12-11-fastboot" version.
When i'm stuck i'm forced to install this back to not be stuck on fastboot loop. I found a "renoir_eea_global_images_V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM_20220105.0000.00_11.0_eea" fastboot version but the installation is not working (would you have one working from my config ?).
I also tried to flash the firmware (fw_renoir_miui_RENOIREEAGlobal_V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM_325e38b5bf_11.0 ~104mo) which gave me an "orange" fastboot instead of the fastboot with the funny character. And tried to install the recovery from pixel after but still stuck on fastboot.
Hope it will help you a bit more to help me

i feel like your partition is messed up by TWRP so my advice is clean flash V12.5.7.0 fastboot rom with method of "flash_all.bat" on windows, "flash_all.sh" on linux i forgot the filenames but there's also method with lock in the name which you should avoid and then never touch or install TWRP as it's a bit unstable even with Android 11 roms, now you flash boot.img and vendor_boot.img provided by Pixel Experience through bootloader that only spells fastboot, no extra letter at the end.
This is important, Rebooting into bootloader and fastboot is different, when you do 'adb reboot fastboot' it will show fastbootd with orange text which something you should avoid, instead do 'adb reboot bootloader' or by vol down + power button and flash those 2 files.
If you still having problems try changing your boot slot by
Code:
fastboot --set-active=a
or
Code:
fastboot --set-active=b
And then
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery

Thx, but that's what i'm trying to do since yesterday, but i don't manage to fresh install 12.5.7.0 with the fastboot rom i found (miui_RENOIREEAGlobal_V12.5.7.0.RKIEUXM_325e38b5bf_11.0
I always get errors when i run the flash_all.bat, saying that my rom is more recent than the one i'm trying to flash. I tried to delete the "if statement" checking for the versions, but seems to mess up with the "directories name" after.
Would you have some link or place where i can get a working 12.5.7.0 with fastboot install ? I'll try it properly from this one.
Thanks in advance.

Thx for your answer, as i was saying: same error with mi flash tool (look the screenshot)
And if i comment the "checking parts" inside the .bat files, i get directories error on windows: it does not seem to check properly my direcotries name
for example a line is like this:
fastboot %* flash crclist %~dp0images\crclist.txt || @ECHO "Flash crclist error" && exit /B 1
the %~dp0images seems to be my path, but it's not taken properly into accoutn, seems to have " quote problems with the path
Edit: I had to double quote " the path inside the script as my path was having spaces inside
Thx for you help, I managed to install it, the only problem was to properly install 12.5.7 After succeding that everything worked as it should

So that's why... so many hours wasted trying to get Wi-Fi to work. I had the "fantastic idea" of flashing the official global miui (renoir_global_images_V13.0.4.0.SKIMIXM_20220412....) prior to installing DotOS and when wi-fi did not work, flashed Pixel Experience...
And I'm pretty sure flashing miui 12.x will trigger ARB and brick the phone. Right?
