Brick t95max - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hello! I have a t95z max and wanting to update the firm it has done nothing and only you turn on the light, I have it disassembled and I have seen that some pins must be connected. Do you know what they are? And then what steps to follow. Thanks!

USB port problem (charging issues)

I haven't seen any similar threads and I'm sorry if there is already an existing one.
My X10 USB port has suddenly gone wonky. At first the phone had no problems charging, but when trying to connect to the computer, the cable had to be held in a certain position or it would not connect. This later began to affect charging as the usb cable had to be held in a certain position to charge. Now even after wiggling around the USB cable and reinserting the battery, the phone will not charge.
Given that the USB port used to work while being held in a certain position, it seems that this is a hardware issue. After finding nothing here, I searched the interwebs and found that poorly soldered USB ports are actually a fairly common problem on the X10.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem or has any insights?

this happened to me too, are you using the usb that came with your phone? because when mine broke i bought a new cable and everything worked fine so try the cable on a different phone and see if it charges

I have tried 3 different USB cables, including the one that is included with the phone. Thanks for your input.
My last x10 went down the same way. I had to buy an external battery charger which was a royal pain. SE refused all knowledge of this defect.

The problem is most likely due the actual design of the phone, where the USB connector is not properly strain-relief. This causes the solder joints to break, and ripping off the solder pads after a while. You used to be able to charge your phone because the pads very only "lifted" but after a while they become completely broken. I'm currently still in the process of trying to figure out whether it would be possible to repair those connections by finding an alternate location to solder the connector pins.
I've had my x10 since April when it launched. Other than this it has been rock solid, but this is really disappointing considering how tank my old W810i was.
I also think that there is either a problem with the design or the manufacture of the phone because it's somewhat common, as it does appear that the soldering of the USB port is not very good.
Looking around the internet, it doesn't seem like SE acknowledges this problem, but luckily it's still under warranty with Rogers for a replacement. I still want to get this issue out on this forum though, because I think it should be something that people are aware of.
I had the same problem a while ago. Called Orange France and they replaced my phone without any comments. If your phone is still under warranty you should go to your provider.
Hey guys. I need help returning my x10 back to stock without a usb cable. I have an AT&T x10a, but unfortunately the other day one of the pins in my usb module (ground, I believe-pin 1) snapped off. I can't charge or connect my phone at all.
Is there any way of flashing the phone back to stock AT&T firmware using like a terminal emulator so I can send it back to AT&T? Btw - the phone is running Nordic 2.1 and it's rooted. Thanks for anyone who can help.

I was looking through the forums for a method like this too but couldn't find one so far. Perhaps you could figure out what makes it look like it's on stock firmware:
i.e. change the boot screen, change the model to x10a, unroot and make it look as much as possible like stock.
Look at the "broken usb connector" thread

[Q] USB Jig

Hi everyone!
Im really hoping someone here can help me. Basically, I plugged in my SGS2 via USB and thats when the issues started. Windows 7 told me the device was not recognized etc. The phone thought it was charging when it wasn't even plugged in and I got to messages about overvoltage issues whilst unplugged on a ICS ROM.
After much research I found out that its not the cables, drivers etc (as iv tried various PCs, OSs and cables, but that its actually the usb connector on the phone side.
So, today i went and bought rubbing alcohol and compressed air, used them and my USB issue is fixed. it read perfectly now, no issues. There was a lot of dirt in the socket!
But, just in case the phone does it again, I have warranty. But, not if my Binary Counter shows 100+ flashes. So I will be making myself a USB Jig after college today. I have purchased resistors already. I got 3 X 100Kohm resistors (I was assured they were right). They are blue and have the following bands: BROWN - BLACK - BLACK - ORANGE - BROWN.
As far as I can work out they are correct? Please could someone double check this if they have Jig experience? I will be using a spare nokia Micro USB B cable to make the Jig.
If anyone could calm my nerves that would be great!
I will stop typing now... haha
By searching you would of had a hit on at least this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
For making a jig search forum or google .

Orange? Sadly whoever you bought it from is mistaken. Color band should be Brown-Black-Yellow-(XXX). (XXX) can be different according to the tolerance, but brown is fine. The color you said is a 10K resistor, not 100K ohm resistor.
Thanks for the replies,
@Kaze105, according to an online resistor calculator its 100K ohm so Im very confused. whenever I look at tutorials, thier resistors are always different looking to what I get over the counter here in South Africa. Its wierd, but more so annoying.

Well sorry for my error, didnt see it was a 5 color resistor (lol), you are correct if its a 5 band, my thinking was as a 4 color resistor.
No prob Was getting very confused. So if I use three of these in series they should be ok? Thanks so much for all the help thus far!

Yes that will be fine.

Micro USB not charging - need to unroot, but how?

I'm at work and no access to a proper computer, so searching is a bit difficult at the moment. Would appreciate it if you guys could suggest some options for me
Basically my microUSB port has gone faulty, it won't stay connected to any of my 4 USB cables/chargers. It will charge for a bit, but then stop and make the disconnected sound, without being touched. Sometimes wiggling it can get it start charging again, but it needs to be repaired.
So, I need to unroot and put it back to stock. I'm concerned that trying to flash via Odin is going to end badly, if the port suddenly decides to disconnect itself from the computer in the middle of the process.
What should I do? I'm pretty new to Samsung, this is my first one, and I have heard about a mobile Odin - is this an option? If not, then what are my choices?
Thanks.
Bump.
Any ideas, guys/gals? I'm very reluctant to just try flashing a stock ROM through Odin, because I am almost 100% the USB will disconnect during the process. At the moment I have a working phone, and I don't want to change that to a bricked phone!
If there is no way to do this without a reliable USB connection, then does anyone know what Three UK are like when it comes to warranty repairs on modded phones? Do they even check if it's been flashed with custom firmware?

OK, I found Mobile Odin, I'm gonna buy the pro version. Any "watch out for this" advice? I've literally only used desktop Odin once before, other than that I've just flashed ROMs through recovery....

The same advice you get when you use the desktop Odin. I'd used it and no problems at all. GL

Yeh mobile Odin should be fine, just make sure it has enough charge and you have done all the triangle away etc. you need first. I guess try and follow this guide but with mobile odin - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911726 The unroot guide at the bottom should help
I think the voltage is too low. If you use usb extension cords or other chargers the voltages could get too low and the phone reduces the charging power so charging gets very slow. With a loose contact this is also possible. Try to unplug and plug in the phone.
Whoa guys. Hold your horses. Turn into repair? Never do that until its your last option. This problem isn't uncommon tho, and often its an easy fix as well. What it sounds like is a loose connection. So here's how to fix:
1)Turn the phone off. Its not nessisary but its better safe than sorry right?
2) Get something thin, a pocket knife works great, maybe a saftey pin might do the trick?
3) Locate the microUSB port, and since we are on a i9300 forum, its going to be on the bottom, easy to find.
4) Inside that port, is a panel thatsticks out, this has the gold/ metalic panels that connect with the gold/ metalic pannels on the charger that you try to plug in. There is a very small space bellow it, get your tool (knife / saftey pin) and GENTALLY pry up that pannel. Be ohhhh so careful of it, you really dont need much for it to work again.
5) Once satasfied, test it! Turn on the phone and connect it up for a charge/to the computer. It should be working like new.
This is common when you continuesly use the port. This happened to my old nexus s and was an easy fix.
If this doesn't work for you, it might be worth checking inside the phone. There are some good dissasembly guides on Youtube that an assist you. All you would then need to check is the connections the the MicroUSB port. If one appears damaged (which is kinda unlikely) then you may need to solder. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, then by all means, send it to Samsung.
Hope I helped. Any further questions your better of sending me a PM. Cheers!

Thanks, but I don't think it's a good idea for me to start undertaking physical repairs on a six month old phone. I'll let Three Mobile do it or replace it.
By all means though check the first option in attempting to push the connectors up

How to reset the bios of a bricked Intel Atom tablet ?

Hello.
Sad moment. I turned on the "s5-charging driver" option in the bios of my Intel Atom Z3735F Teclast X89 Kindow tablet. (I think it is the only thing I changed, but I have a doubt.) After I selected "save and quit" it turned off. And now it will never turn on again. :crying:
I tried holding power for 20 seconds, holding power + vol-, power + vol+, power + vol- + vol+, it never woke up. I opened it, but of course there is no bios battery or pin like on desktop motherboards on these little things. And it seems that you can't reflash bios through USB neither.
I spent this day searching and it seems that unfortunatly the only solution is to reprogramme the bios chip, like someone did here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/unbricking-teclast-x89-kindow-t3412968.
So, I have three options :
A. Doing it by myself. schrdlu's instructions seems rather easy to follow. (But knowing myself, there are good chances I run into trouble at some point and need your help.)
But first, I do not have a programmer. Do I have to buy precisely a EZP-XPro to flash this chip or will a cheaper programmer do, like this EZP2010 or this CH341A ? Please someone tell me so I can order it as soon as possible.
Also, I do not find the voltage of the AMI Aptio V on their website. Do I need a 1.8v converter or not ? I do not see any on schrdlu's photo.
B. Finding someone here living in Europe (to avoid customs problems) willing to do the job then ship me back the tablet. How much would you take ? Like, 15€ including shipment ? I love this toy but I am broke and it was 60€ new anyway so I am not spending a lot to fix it.
C. Buying one with a broken screen for cheap, and swap its motherboard with mine. Of course I would lose my data though, it is probably tricky to replace and I may break it in the process.
I received the CH341A programmer, with a 1.8v adapter, but when I read the chip I get only zeros...
I tried billions of times...
I plugged again the claw on the chip so many times that it already look used...
The claw is like on the photo in the other thread, the red wire is where the circle is. I tried so many times that I ended up mistaking and fixing it the wrong way, with the red wire at the other end. I hope I did not burn it by doing so.
1 4 5 8 on the claw pcb is on 1 4 5 8 on the 1.8v adapter. I also tried putting it at the other end, like I saw on photos. No change.
Not a single time it detected the chip to begin with. Manufacturer ID, Memory type and all are always all $00. Or sometimes all $FF.
I set the chip as Gigadevice GD25Q64 as I read. But I only get 00s when reading.
It's making me crazy.
I do not think that the bios chip is dead, all I did to brick the tablet was changing an option in the bios.
I do not even know if the programmer I bought maybe is faulty, I do not have any other bios chip I can try to read with it.
Please, can anybody help ?
have you found a solution to this?

At last I had the programmer working, but I did not get to revive the tablet.
I did several things, not sure which one fixed the issue.
I bought another 1.8v converter and claw, in case the ones I had were faulty. (I also bought another CH341A but never received it)
I uninstalled and removed drivers, and installed most recent ones I found.
I plugged it directly on the computer, not on a hub.
And at last it detected the chip.
I read it, saved my broken bios dump, and wrote this one inside. Then I checked and it said that the content of the chip matched the file.
But for some reason the tablet would not wake up, even after charging for over an hour.
So I followed the instructions to fix my original bios with MMTool and wrote it back inside. Then I checked again, it said that they matched. And I let it charge again for two hours. But it still won't wake up.
The multimeter says there is 3.78v out of the battery though.
(and I broke the screen glass to cap it all)
update:
I left it unplugged for two hours, and the metal covering the SOC got a little warmer.
Is the tablet actually on ?
I did plug a USB LED to it, to check, but no, no power in the USB port. On my other tablet the USB LED turns on as soon as the tablet turns on.
Does anybody have any idea what is happening, why is the SOC warm while the tablet can't turn on ?

I am having problems with my new A95X F3 Air

I recently bought this device, it came out broken and this is my first TV box so I don't know what to do. When I plug it in, the screen in front of the device and the light above it do not work. Only a blue LED inside is glowing, no other response. I downloaded stock firmware I'm trying to install it right now but when I connect it to a computer with a usb to usb cable it doesn't show up on my computer. Has anyone experienced such a problem before? Is there a solution to this situation? I have added a few photos to explain my problem. I am waiting for your help, thank you.

Sounds like you got a faulty one, you should look into returning it to the company you bought it off
if thats not an option then you may have to try mask rom mode
