Well first you have to unlock the boot loader, then install custom recovery, then flash a patched boot.img so you can use magisk to Obtain root.
Follow this thread and let us know what you got stuck on.

The thread has pre-patched boot images as well

No compatible Xposed at this time. Therefore you can't use gravity box.

If you use KII-L22(GR5 has variant KII-L21,22,24) , SImply Unlock bootloader, Install TWRP then install SuperSU same as KIW-L21/22/24.
Since I use KII-L22, I can't say TWRP works KII-L21,24.
You can find TWRP thread, and bootloader unlock thread. Read it.

Thanks For the conformation of
1. Unlock boot loader
2. Flash TWRP Recovery
3. Install SuperSU
On KII-L22
I use KII-L21 and still did not get the boot loader unlock code as english site is always busy and chinese site asks to wait for two weeks.
Once I get the unlock code I will try this on my L21. If there is anyone with unlocked KII-L21 please try and confirm the success.
@ssrnsrsr
1. In which web site you managed to obtain the unlock code?
2. Can you give it a try to flash CM 12.1 alpha released for 5X to see if it is compatible with gr5 ?

I use Chinese one. Form layout is same both English and Chinese.
In TWRP thread, reason of " wait 14 days" is talked. Support for KII-L variant is just started also.
So you had better to read and stick that for more information.

Root redmi note 4 without pc

Hi friends ,
I need some help to root my Redmi Note 4.
I have no pc , so the needed rooting method is without pc.
I tried with Kingroot , but they didnt start to support on this device yet.
My Redmi Note 4 is 3GB/32GB version running on android 7.0 and MIUI Global 8.5 Stable. I dont want to flash a custom rom or recovery to this. I need only root permission for run some apps.
If anybody knows working rooting methods like kingroot , please help me.
As far I know, there is no way you can root without pc, there is no bug to exploit for simply root click apps. Especially with locked bootloader device.
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
AFAIK China Dev ROM was prerooted.

Yeah, just request permission for unlock bootloader from your device. Bound your mi account, wait for 7-10 days.
After that just borrow one of your friends pc. Download and install mi unlock.
Unlock your bootloader, install twrp, flash lazy flasher, flash magisk or supersu.
And, you are golden.

Instead of that, just unlock bootloader, flash a custom recovery and root your phone. If you don't like it, then you can easily switch to stock miui anytime.

Root Wiko View3, grab boot.img

Hi there!
I want to root my Wiko View3. It‘s a mtk device with MT6762. Is there any way to grab the boot.img? I already unlocked the bootloader. It runs with Android 9. I can‘t find any TWRP Custom Recovery for this device. Or how can I get the scatter file?
Anyone found a solution to root the View 3 (Lite)?
Is there no way to root this device? Is it currently unrootable?
I think you can grab boot.img using fastboot and patch it manually.

How can I grab it? Is there a specific fastboot command for it?

I already know these threads. The instructions in the first thread only work for the Wiko View Version 1, not for the Wiko View 3. Also the mentioned TinnoEngineerMode in the second thread doesn't work for the Wiko View 3.

Try kingroot or kingo root, whatever its called. Your phone seems to be unpopular, that's why I think those applications will work. After that just install kingroot to SuperSU and grab the boot.img using root. Then unroot your phone, download magisk manager, install it, patch the boot.img then flash it via fastboot.
I've tried kingoroot, King Root, framaroot and towel Root, without success.
This device is just very new. It just came to the Market.

There is also some shorter ways to do the same, for example this app at LG 10 forums...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/how-to/mediatek-easy-root-update-v1-0-3-t3944429
This less stable temp root should make that partition dump an easy task.
(if it works...)

Kingroot? WTF? Who's running KitKat? Some Lollipop devices can be rooted with Kingsroot, but not Pie!
I've never heard of this phone, I didn't know it was pie.

Flash magisk then
You should have searched the forum before creating a new thread. There is plenty of information around, just search!
this is the answer of those who have nothing to say. clearly I looked on the forum, but there are different opinions. for some just flash magisk, for others another procedure must be done. I wanted a definitive opinion from those who made the same operation as me

Different procedure? Magisk is a well known root "standard" procedure since years. If you have unlocked bootloader and TWRP, just flash Magisk. Nothing much has changed since and I don't know what different procedure would be easier.
you have twrp, flash magisk
Just to add to the suggestions above, have you considered flashing magisk?

Exactly, you just have to enable the developer options and there turn on debugging and OEM and and wait until the oem letters turn gray.
