Can I still unlock my bootloader without the OEM Unlock option? - Samsung Galaxy A10 Questions & Answers

Hello, recently I tried to unlock my devices bootloader. I knew the first step was to check the OEM Unlock option, unfortunately the option did not show. I have tried every method people have given me to make the option show, but none of which actually worked. Is there a way I can unlock the bootloader without checking the option?
Device: Samsung Galaxy A10E (Model SM-A102U)
Serial number if it helps: RF8M801FZ4H
One UI: 1.1
Android Version: 9
Build Number: PPR1-180610.011.A102USQS5ATA7
Knox Version: Knox 3.3, Knox API Level 28, TIMA 4.1.0
Tell me if there is any more info about the phone you may need. And thanks in advance for the help!

i am sorry you wasted however much time you wasted trying to unlock it because the A102U is nt unlockable. A quick search wouldve told you that from the get go.
Just like most snapdragons, exynos are also locked down on the usa variants.

What about the answer of the comment in the forum section ( forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/how-to/guide-comprehensive-t510-root-guide-t3929671 )
Where it says : ( You can find them on sammobile or samfrew ).
I did download the odin3 from sammobile and the Firmware
TMK- A102USQS5ATA7-20200225100423.zip from samfrew ,
and because i'm new in this i'm affraid to do this in my Samsung Galaxy A10e SM102U with Metro PCS in the USA , I will like to unlock the oem ,
but I don't know if that will unroot or root my cellphone , and i don't know if that firmware is a Custom rom or what?
And i will like to keep my cell protected , any advice is welcome , especially from experts like you guys !!

The only thing you downloaded was the stock ROM, it is not rooted. You simply cannot unlock OEM on this phone no matter how many times you install stock ROM

First root the locked device with CF Root using Odin (see my signature item 1) than unlock the phone with Voodoo Sim unlock tool in Playstore, after it is unlocked flash this fix with cwm recovery from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1802951.
-Edit- It seems voodoo Sim unlock tool is temporarily removed from Playstore, keep an eye on it though, it will be back because it is beeing updated for newer firmwares.
For now call your provider and ask for the sim unlocking key.
You can also unlock your phone here http://www.sammobile.com/unlock/index.php?phone=I9300 , it costs 15 euro (creditcard or paypal) and you need to be rooted before the unlock.

Hi guy, you can search helroz or Galaxy S Unlock (required rooted and BusyBox associated) on the Google plays.
Another option is using the GalaxSimUnlock (thanks spocky12 for the free version)
thankyou

thankyou u saved my phone it works perfect
Thank you OP and Untitled87!
Also thank you "creepyncrawly" for the link to get here from another post. Able to unlock att i777(running on JB 4.3 that had been banned from xda) to use tmobil.
Have you tried AT&T
I just finished a frustrating series of attempts to use a number of unlocking programs (Galaxy S Unlock, SGS Unlock Tool, GalaxySim Unlock) after rooting with Framaroot-1.4.2, but none of them worked. Then I called AT&T to see if they would provide the code and sure, no problem. After waiting about 5 min to get to a human, I had no trouble at all. May I suggest to one and all that it might be best to try this first as it could save a lot of trouble. Then root it and flash a ROM, if desired - I will to get rid of the AT&T intro and programs I still can't uninstall with root.
FYI - My phone:
Service version : Android Version : 4.1.2 / Baseband Version : I777UCMD8
Device model: SGH-I777ZKAATT
I had previously updated to Jelly Bean from ICS (4.0.3, I think) with Kies.

[Q] Unlock Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 4.3

Hi all.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 currently locked on the T-Mobile UK (Now EE) Network.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Model Number : GT-I9300
Android Version : 4.3
Baseband Version : I9300BVUGNB2
Kernal Version : 3.0.31-2372379 [email protected] # 1 Mon Feb 17 22:21:57 KST 2014
Build Number : JSS15J.I9300XXUGNB5
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm looking to unlock the sim so I can use a different carrier.
This is what I've tried so far....
I have sucessfully Rooted my phone
I have SuperSU, CWM Rom Manager, CWM Recovery, BusyBox Free.
I have tried GalaxSim Unlock and it identifies my IMEI Number and reports that Network Lock, Subset Network Lock, SP Lock, CP Lock & Data Lock are all unlocked & States that "Your Device Is Unlocked", however I'm still locked to T-Mobile.
After reading here on xda I believe this is because of the EFS v2 ???
Is there any way to SIM unlock this at the moment without going through T-Mobile?
Is there another way round this?
Can I down grade EFS? (I don't have any backups)
Happy to use a custom ROM or what ever is needed in order to do this.
Thanks for your help
Kind Regards,
Lee

Not possible I'm afraid only paid code will work on 4.3 and there is no such thing as downgrade efs.But whatever you do I would recommend backing up your efs asap.

Whats the best way to backup my EFS? Have you a link to a how too?
If I purchase the unlock code from T-Mobile / EE and use it to unlock my carrier if I then decide to go and install a custom ROM / mess with my phone, would this affect the sim unlock? I just want to make sure that once it's unlocked thats it, forever...
Thanks again!
Ha I've just seen point 3 in your sig about EFS.
Software
I unlocked my device in these steps:
1. Download a firmware version from Sammobile of your country
2. Search a version from your country with no Branding
3. Dowload it and Odini
4. Flash through Download Mode
Worked for me..

Mmm.. If it was that easy everybody would be doing it perhaps you where not fully sim locked also as far as I know 4.3 can't be unlocked even Galaxy sim unlock dev say's if you are on efsv2 that it is not possible to unlock at the moment without code.
Don't know

I meant my phone was locked. And after some custom ROMs and rooting, go back to stock and so on, my phone wasn't locked anymore. Maybe I've done something I didn't know anymore
So for unlocking where is a reputable place to get a code? (can I just take it to a market stall?)
I have a i9300 locked to UK Orange and I need to get it unlocked.
Responses from seasoned forum members especially appreciated!
Info:
Android version 4.3
Baseband: I9300BVUGNB2
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-2372379
[email protected]#1
Mon Feb 17 22:21:57 KST 2014
Build Number: JSS15J.19300XXUGNB5
I've purchased the unlock code form T-Mobile. Currently waiting on there upto 20 days.....
Still wish I didn't have to do this as it's just a bullying tactic to try to force you to renew a contract or go PAYG with them. I completely disagree with this type of mentality of a company.
Thanks for your help everyone.

I have the same issue. Built a S3 i9300 out of bits n bobs and bought just a motherboard on line, which was/is locked to Orange UK, just like you want to unlock it and am having no joy. Nothing works. Installed a stock orange rom, that didn't work either.
Did you get this sorted and how?

Will Marshmallow lock the bootloader on my T-Mobile S5?

Sorry if these are dumb questions... I have searched unsuccessfully for answers here and I am new to the forums and to Android... not sure where to ask this...
I just bought a new (unsold stock) T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900T) phone and activated it on the T-Mobile network. The phone came with G900TUVU1ANE6 (4.4.2) from the factory. After only a few hours of operation T-Mobile has pushed an unnamed update to the phone which I assume is G900TUVU1GPE1 (6.0.1) Marshmallow. I have postponed installation of the update but don't know how long I can postpone it or if I can prevent its installation.
Will installing Marshmallow cause my S5's bootloader to become locked? I ask because I found this on Wikipedia (link not allowed) "As of Marshmallow, the Android Compatibility Definition Document contains new security mandates for devices, dictating that those that are capable of accessing encrypted data without affecting performance must enable Secure boot and device encryption by default".
Or is my G900T's bootloader already locked? I ask because I found this at root my galaxy dot net (link not allowed) "If your device’s bootloader is locked then you will get the update via OTA. [...] If your device is rooted or bootloader is unlocked then you have to manually Flash / Install Official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Firmware On T-Mobile Galaxy S5 using Odin Flash tool".
The second question worries me more. I bought a T-Mobile S5 because so many sources claim the G900T bootloaders are unlocked. Now I'm unsure. Is there an easy way to determine if my bootloader is locked or unlocked? (I have Heimdall available on a Linux laptop but no windows machine).
I hope to install CM10 or CM13 on my S5. Thanks in advance for any definite information or guidance anyone can provide.
I'm thinking about buying an S5 and am wondering this as well.

After installing the latest firmware, you can still flash custom ROMs, you can still root, etc.
Just look in the Android Development sub-forum, and you will see several custom ROMs for MM on the SM-900T.
You can also flash ROMs from the International S5 forum. I've never flash a CM ROM, but there are several on this forum that have and do.

G900T T-Mobile's bootloader is not locked. I've downgraded from MM to KK without problems. I flashed RR MM without problems
No brother . I mean if I need to root s5 T-Mobile than shall I downgrade it first or I can easily do it on marshmallow.
Can u tell me any authentic root process!
Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...l/root-how-to-root-sm-g900t-firmware-t3358190
It's exactly the same process on MM as it is on LP or KK.
I rooted my G900T about two weeks ago. It had MM the latest patches and everything, so you don't need to worry about the bootloader ever being locked.
marshmallow to Lollipop?

Hi! is your smartphone really a G900T?
IF it is so... It is pretty sure you download a firmware and it is incomplete.
Where do you download from?
Which version is it?
