Pixel Dust ROM is an Android 10 ROM especially built for Google Pixel and Nexus devices.
The code is based off directly from AOSP. We strive to keep the Pixel Dust Experience as close as possible to Android as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included.
The Pixel Dust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.

Pre-requisites:
* You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
* You are familiar with using fastboot
* Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest Google factory image
* Bootloader unlocked
* You have created a backup of your ROM & data
First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:
YOU MUST HAVE JULYFACTORY IMAGE!
1. Flashing stock ROM:
Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#flame
2. Flashing PixelDust ROM:
Download the ROM and boot image
Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip since we dont have TWRP)

fastboot flash boot boot.img
Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 10 install)

fastboot erase userdata
Reboot into fastbootd
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
Use volume keys and power button to select "Enter Recovery"
Select "Apply Update from ADB"
Sideload the ROM zip

adb sideload PixelDust-X-aosp-flame-***.zip
Reboot
When the device is not booting PixelDust, please change the boot slot to a or to b in fastboot mode

fastboot --set-active=a or fastboot --set-active=b
IF THERE IS AN ERROR AFTER FLASHING IN RECOVERY JUST IGNORE IT!

Just skip the step "Wipe userdata"

going to give it a try, will update you, Thanks for the first ROM, waiting for DirtyUncorns too for their ROM
Installation failed on 95%, i was on march update and just patched the boot image for magisk but still i flashed the boot image and then wiped userdata and then on fastbootd sideloaded ROM but it failed

still get everytime the error code 21 ....and it still boots to the normal Android.....even if i change the boot slot....

yes same thing happening, installtion error on 95 and then system boots to original stock android not to pixel dust

Thanks for the info sir, its now working, problem was not set the slot, now changed the slot and worked like a charm
Nice ROM, thanks esp. for the in-depth walk through install instructions. Its been a while since there's been anything worth flashing so you get a bit rusty lol.

Unlocking bootloader/rooting/flashing custom ROM is breaking SafetyNet (again). Nothing we can do about.
If you need your device to pass SafetyNet, relock bootloader and flash Stock again.
But mine is rooted incl unlocked bootloader and magisk says this..... See Screenshot

Mines fine now needed to enable magisk hide in settings and it passes
Google is changing a lot on SafetyNet these days. If it passes for you you are lucky. If not there is nothing we can do about.

Nothing male sure your on latest magisk and go to setting in magisk and make sure magisk hide is ticked and hopefully should work for you

1. Important information
This thread is meant for the development of BeanStalk for the Nexus 4 (Mako). The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
Different GAPPs package than the one mentioned in post #1
We don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
Flashed different GAPPs than linked in OP
Missing a great feature?
Then join the BeanStalk teamchat and let us know about it. Go into Settings > About phone > About BeanStalk > Beanstalk Slack.
2. Information on updating an earlier BeanStalk version 6.x
Before you are going to migrate to a newer version, I highly recommend that you back up your apps & data with Titanium Backup in order to prevent data loss across a full wipe and if making a dirty flash would miserably fail. For doing a backup you could use this APP for free from Playstore.
2.1 Updated instructions for dirty flashing:
Advanced Wipe (this includes dalvik cache, system and cache)
Flash BS ROM, then BS GAPPS
Boot system and enjoy BeanStalk goodness!
Important: You should use the GAPPs from the OP, and only this GAPPs Package (for dirty flashing), other GAPPs packages will likely cause issues.
2.2 Meh, dirty flashing didn't work?!!
Full Wipe (this includes all partitions except for internal storage)
Flash BS ROM, then BS GAPPS
Boot system
Setup your phone and start Playstore to load Google account, etc.
Install Titanium Backup and restore your apps incl. data.
If now any app should be force-closing, you need to reboot into recovery and wipe cache & dalvik-cache.
3. Information about getting LTE to work
The ability to switch to LTE was tested on an unofficial build of the CM 030816 mako nightly.
You need to switch radio to "LTE Only", and then to "LTE/GSM (auto)" results in LTE data becoming enabled.
4. BeanStalk for Nexus 4 change log:
FYI.. Kernel up to BS 6.11 was based on CM-13.0.
With BS 6.12 I decided to start my own hellspawn kernel which is based off of hells-Core N4 kernel (b88-M) by @hellsgod. In order to keep it pure and fast as hell, I decided not to put too many enhancements into it.

With BS 6.18 I decided to switch to Revival kernel which is based off of Semaphore kernel by @stratosk.

Everthing is good here. It would be nice to choose the background of the lock screen.
ive installed this rom. clean install but cannot install gapps. tried a few packages and even downloaded the playstore apk but still wont install. most packages fail in recovery but banks dynamic fully installs but after reboot there are no apps. very strange indeed. any help??

Fantastic on getting the Wireless Display working properly. I was just about to jump back to a 5.1.1 ROM just so I could use my Windows Wireless Display Adapter. Many thanks!

I actually used open gapps pico with no problems. Well... I had problems when trying to keep my data, but a true clean wipe fixed everything.

went back to cm13 and all is working fine.
Ambient Display & some features.
It's amazing to be back on a ROM iv liked since KitKat days. Love the experience so far. Only had a few queries about features:
1. The Ambient Display doesn't seem to work,
2. Can't find the option to activate Network Traffic Indicator in settings and
3. Is it Themes compatible because when I used one theme the 'System.UI' stopped working and I had to re-flash the ROM.

1. In my phone the screen wakes up every time when a notification arrived. Other than that screen doesn't wake up when I pick up the phone. Is this the issue that you have observed?
2. It is not implemented. Not sure if it was planned. I need to ask Scott about this.

Hum.. well, I have tested the gapps by txuki in this ROM, and everything works fine. You can of course make experiments with different gapps packages. But when you screw up things, please don't point with your finger!

1. Yes, it does but only once. Afterwards, if I pickup the phone it doesn't wake.
2. OK. It will be nice to have it, though.
3. I had Cosmos which was supposed to be a cm-13 theme but it didn't work.
And how can I update the SuperSU binaries because Titanium backup prompts everytime I launch it.

Rom seems to smooth n stable.
Unable to set the lock screen wallpaper, wallpaper is overriding "set as lockscreen wallpaper" option. Not a big issue though, just wanted ro update
Well ,I tried this ROM so far is working excellent . I installed as second ROM and xposed, v4a, elemental kernel and SuperSU 2.71 beta are working great!!!

It is impossible to set Xposed, we have a modified framework.
With SuperSU too ourselves will update it as we read that that which goes together with ROM the most stable release of SuperSU.

It is just necessary to find errors if those are if isn't present, then ROM will depart from the test folder to not test =)

Ill be flashing it asap and if i see bugs lets see if we can squash them, and i would like to suggest some things:
1.) Remove v4a, to be honest i also use v4a but 60% of hammerhead's community does not since it only offers bugs, bugs and a lot of bugs. Let people choose to install it, after all its just one flash/install away
2.) Remove unnecessary bloats! Messaging, browser apps, in my opinion those are bloats and can be downloaded from ps. Let the users choose... Its troublesome to uninstall apps in the first place
Well i hope you consider this, this are just some friendly advice and i know most of the hammerhead community would agree on me cheers!

Stuck on booting
I formatted everything on my phone and then flashed this ROM. Now it is stuck on booting screen with Nitrogen OS Logo...Any suggestions ?

I also have the D851 Have you had an issue with the navigation bar settings? Forced close for me on both fling and smartbar settings. Time to go to sleep for me. Gonna play around some more after work tomorrow. Ditto on the thanks as @Cablespider stated

Any chance you could make a test build for the D850?
Substratum is working properly. No problems at all with the handful of themes I tried. In fact, Color Engine gets disabled when an applied Substratum theme is detected. This is my first time using Color Engine, and I was worried about the two conflicting. Everything looks proper. Very nice! :good:

Am already surprised that the Rom , At the first official start without Heavy flaws, runs smoothly and has a lot of setting options, color engine is great, but is not available when you set a substratum theme, The game with Artx Kernel is amazing Thanks to Stayn Artx Dev! And of course the camera with 4K is already crazy!

Since it's an LOS based ROM, I opted to use LOS's SU add on. That would be the only difference in my setup, other than Open Gapps. I used the latest pico version.

I use with Magisk. No problem here. All builds is tried before release on XDA.
Jealous, do you mind trying a test build for the D850? Would love to try it! If you can't, that's OK man.
My kernel works great with all ROM's, but this ROM really makes a difference, it's very very smooth and stable, no problems at all, Thank you @jeal0us

Sultan-ized Resurrection Remix is a project which was started in 2016 initially on bacon that had a motive of providing people with builds based off sultanxda's sources for better battery and camera along with a touch of featured environment.

safety mechanisms now, and you may get better battery life)
Rewrote half of the Synaptics touchscreen driver (over 2500 lines of code modified; your touchscreen may work better)
Newest-available Synaptics touchscreen firmware
Dynamic CPU input boost driver (makes the phone feel smooth without destroying battery life)
CPU underclocked to 1958 MHz by default (you can disable this; see why this was done in the FAQ in the 3rd post)
Vibrator is automatically disabled when recording videos (so the buzzing noise doesn't get in the videos)
Custom thermal control driver (features 8 thermal throttle steps; keeps the phone cool)
LCD KCAL by Savoca
Westwood TCP congestion algorithm (enabled by default)
NTFS support
No placebo patches, features, or compiler "optimizations"

Do you mean the notification sound bug specifically for Telegram which happens on RR builds? If so on my side is working properly :good:
I have low sound on calling....almost cant hear the other person
On the other side....just happen in this rom....someone could help?
I've been using Resurrection Remix for a while now and I love it. I keep hoping someone will provide an option to disable those round icons though.
Mustang. Would it be possible for you to make a build with the round icons disabled in the default framework apk? Resurrection Remix always sticks in bootloop after modifying the framework-res.apk and re-installing. I've tried 3 different Ressurection Remix Roms all do the same thing. But it works fine with Lineage.

I prefer to keep the round icons, also with the aim the be stick to the stock source, but i will provide you one without the round icons, but probably on future updates i will not do the same but if on future updates you replace the framework-res.apk with the one from this specific build it might work :good:

I will keep the framework apk for future builds, but the main issue I have wasn't changing it (I did that and successfully recompiled). The issue is that even with your new framework apk, Resurrection Remix gets stuck on bootloop after replacing it.
EDIT: Sooo got it to boot with the new framework apk, but it didnt change anything So now I'm anxiously waiting for that apk / build from you. I appreciate you doing this for me Mustang

I also have the same problem as yours, the caller can't hear my voice and I can't hear it too, but sir mustang said it would be fixed in the next build
While flashing the ROM zip, it is giving an error like f2fs is not supported try in ext4... idk the exact error it sounds like this.

Maybe your system is f2fs, convert it first back to ext4

I have just one request: May you please add F2FS support? Whether it be in the form of a flashable ZIP to enable it or built in support by the ROM and kernel? I'm running F2FS and EXT4 is way too slow for me when I play my games, and on boot up.

Thank you for development, OP! I'm really glad you continue develop ROM for our phone.
However, I got a problem since romilparh's ROM — my gestures suddenly stop working since some days of flash. I.e. its working for some days, but a bit later it stops.
I'm not alone with this trouble — previous thread used to have at least one report with this problem, user @Mandabar reported it:
« My gestures stopped working (camera/flashlight my main use) for an unknown reason. Unsure how to get it working again. They are enabled for sure.»
I want to help you to investigate the problem and try to fix it. What have I do to help you? It doesnt look like that logcat will help you.
P.S. i got this problem on 2 clean flashed sultanized RR roms different versions
