[RECOVERY] [UNOFFICIAL] TWRP 3.3.1-0 For suzu [04-07-2020] - Sony Xperia X ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

View attachment 4988743About
TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. We also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.
Team Win was originally formed to work on porting WiMAX to CM7 for the HTC EVO 4G. After our work on the EVO 4G we wanted to work on a project that would work on more devices than just the EVO 4G and we settled on working on a recovery. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.
A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom "ROM" like OmniROM
You can find the source code for TWRP at github.com/omnirom/android_bootable_recovery/

Because the TWRP I built is based on android-9.0, and the official TWRP is based on android-8.1, the TWRP I built can interpret the hardware encryption of pie or Q, and the official TWRP seems to have compatibility issues.

Maybe one with an already unlocked bootloader wants to test it.
Please report the result.
If it works, I will make a new project thread in the kernel section, like I did for the XZ2.
You need the latest September Update 51.1.A.12.48

since it's miui base i don't think so, but if you try please share your feedback.
Attempted to flash on MIUI 12.5.9 didn't booted neither got into recovery. Backup your vendor_boot.img to flash back in case of messing up something.
good job.
Did someone tried on GSI rom?
Hi, I'm assuming you use this kernel in your latest Descendant build? I've been using MIUI for almost a year now and still miss the feel of a close to AOSP build. If I can find the time to reset all of the 2FA accounts I'll for sure give Descendant a try!
Descendant rom in use Quantic Kernel [5.4.203] Boot failure with installation
Booting after factory reset successful
Not completed during initial setup

There is still a ROM for the Renoir, CorvusOS.
I just installed it, for the moment no problem. It is close to the PE ROM I think.

Trying to build AOSP GSI for Tab S6

Looking at these instructions:
How to Flash a GSI on an Android Device
Follow this guide to flash a GSI on your Android device.
www.makeuseof.com
Though it appears the S6 does not have a fastboot mode?? Only a Download Mode.
I also Tried DSU Sideloader though the device does not support Dynamic Partitions so not looking good there either..

Question Request for someone to make a custom vendor with arm64 support.

Since the device runs on arm-based kernel and firmware, It would be great if someone make a custom vendor with arm64 support.
The device has binder architecture.
This would allow users with the following device to run arm64 GSIs and run apps that has discontinued arm support such as Instander, A modded version of Instagram.
Here's the device's kernel :

I would love to be a tester for it in case someone makes one.

The Samsung A20s has the same internals down to the very chip and runs 64 bit, porting its vendor to the A02s may be possible

I saw it in telegram but it's worth trying this beta test flash only arm64 gsi (arm32 not supported) and you need a permissive kernel (you can try the permissiver v5 module)
