[Question] How to unlock bootloader in Realme UI? - Realme XT Questions & Answers

Anybody knows how can I unlock the bootloader in Realme UI? I use the official in-depth test apk that it's on the official guide but everytime I try, it shows me "This phone model does not support in depth test"
I'm currently running "C.01"
The guide that I used:
https://c.realme.com/in/post-details/1247848106351919104
Hopefully somebody can help me out :crying:
Thanks in advance.

Great news! In-depth test app now supports the Global/Russian variant. I've just unlocked the bootloader like 5 minutes ago.

I have the same problem.
In android 9 I managed to unlock the bootloader then I locked it again and upgraded to android 10 with stock firmware.
Now it won't let me unlock the bootloader, I am using India firmware RMX1921EX_11.C.06.
What version of Russian firmware did you use?

If your phone supports NFC theres no need to have the India rom, just download the Russian firmware C.01 and later update through OTA to C.04

Which root method should I use?

Hello all
I am looking to root my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro to get some more functionality out of Tasker.
Problem is, I don't know which of all the available root procedures to choose as there are so many different ones for different devices I am confused
I know my device has 3GB RAM.
Yesterday I received an OTA update to what I beleive is the latest official ROM as seen here (Qualcomm Global Stable ROM).
It's the MIUI Global 7.5.3.0 Stable.
Here's what the "About phone" says:

Which method should I choose to root my phone?
Not really interested in changing the rom in itself, it's just the root I'm interested in.
Any help?
Thanks in advance
Have you unlocked the bootloader yet?
If you want to do it officially? You will need to update to developer rom. Plus request unlock privileges for it.
Look for threads on rooting, if you want to take OTA's in the future, make sure to make backups before rooting.
It is mainly just flashing supersu with TWRP and depending on how you unlocked, also flashing a modified boot.
Thank you for the quick reply.
No, I haven't unlocked the bootloader.
So, if I change to the developer rom, is this already pre-rooted? Did I understand this correctly?
Developer rom is not pre-rooted, you need it to unlock the bootloader.
Then you can flash TWRP and use it to root.
Good Wiki on reddit that will explain it.
That's excellent info, thank you very much.
I'll get on with reading now...

Yes flashing another version would still work fine:good:
I'm from Mexico, I install the unknown version, and so far it has not given me any kind of problem, I must say that my smartphone is not carrier free, it's Telcel.

yeah. flashing firmware with different csc and pda number will not give any harm to our device. already tried it and success without facing any problem.

Unfortunately only the chinese beta testers can install this update. I tried to install it through the official updater since i'm on locked bl but it says that I need a xiaomi beta tester account. It would be nice though if someone can provide us a link for the china beta testing program.

You need to Unlock Bootloader, Use TWRP Recovery updater.
I know, but... Since I know myself I will continuously change my phones software and I will mess around with it and since k20 is my daily driver I don't want instability. So I don't want to unlock my bl, at least at the moment. I'll better wait for the stable updates. But thanks anyway for the suggestion. Can anyone who knows mandarin provide me with some instructions on how to become an official beta tester for the chinese ROMs?
I downloaded the 11.0.4 from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/redmi-k20-pro-firmware-10-3-8-0-9-6-13-t3939647 and install it on my stock china 11.0.2 locked just fine.
Edit: i also noticed there is v11.0.3 but i've decided to skip that because they have the same file size (~2.6GB) so i assumed that both of them are a full ROM on their own, not an OTA update. I also used the Cleaner app to clear Cache before and after the installation.

Unlock bootloader and flash via miflash tool any rom you want.
If you want to relock your device check the lock mode.
I know, too bad there is no another method (since Pie doesn't support OTA sideload via stock recovery)
Which should I use? Android 10 or 11?

You can flash firmware via stock recovery. Download the firmware.zip and flash using option istall update via sd. Download recovery firmware here https://xiaomifirmwahttps://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/laurel/ . You can download and install full without lost data. I made it today.
