Recording in 30 fps, shaky footage , how ? - OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Questions & Answers

Hi my name is Jan and i'm new on the forum, and this is my first forum thread.
So i've purchased an Oppo 10x zoom.
What i noticed is when i record a video on 30fps (doesn't matter if it's 4k or 1080p) i get very shaky footage, it's unusable.
Are there more owners who are experiencing this problem??
Thanks in advance..

If you have the chance upgrade your phone to ColorOS 7, it has a new "Super Steady Video" mode which will improve quite a lot.

Video improvement

Do you think that the 4k record on mate 10 will be improved by software updates (like what op did with op5's camera)? Actually the stabilization is terrible and it also seems to have problem with focus...
I think OIS is bad in Mates, compared to other phone I have seen on YouTube.

That's why I'm still not sure if i get mate 10 or pixel 2,the video is bad on mate series compared to other phones.
Right now I'm also not sure if i get mate 10 ,the video is bad on mate series compared to other phones. If anyone have any information please share us.
I don't think the video is bad. I think the OIS is not that good but hopefully that can be fixed in a software update. Who knows.

You said "not that good".. do you mean not that good when recording 4k videos ? As far as I undertand Mate 10 has digital video stablization only @1080P/30fps and not in 4K.

[Review] 960fps Slow Motion

Hi guys, in this video i show you the new 960fps slow motion feature on the Xiaomi Mi 8.
I'm using the Global Developer 8.11.29
Officially the Xiaomi Mi 8 supports up to 240fps but with the new updates we have the possibility to record at 960fps.
With this modality we can record about 5 seconds and the first seconds of the final clip will be played at normal speed and the final seconds will be played in slow motion.
The video quality is 1080p. So i was very excited...at the beginning.
But as i suspected... the video aren't in 960fps, but everything is slowed down by software.
So probably it's a 240fps fps slowmotion and then we have a digital editing that applies a kind of plugin, as the famous Twixtor and Optical Flow for computers.
So at the end the result is ugly too see and you need perfect conditions to achieve a good effect.

I've done this, see what you think, thanks!

Not only Xiaomi is doing this "960 fps trick".

Xiaomi mi 8 960 fps cam video

hello XDA people, I created this video of the slow camera 960fps, and I would like you to see it, I think it is not 960fps, it is interpolation, but hey, I do not know much about cameras ... thanks everyone

It is 240 FPS interpolated to 960 FPS

EIS or NOT in realme xt

I have seen some info on the net that XT has eis and I cannot find that within the XT
Do you know if it has really electronic image stabilization or not?
Thank you in advance
no one has any suggestions please?
XT has EIS both front and main camera. You can test it by recording video. Only for 1080p/30 fps though.

is that your personal experience?
There's no indicator where to switch on the EIS.
How can I know the difference between EIS on and EIS off?

[CLOSED][xiaomi] remove 960fps slow-motion 3 seconds limit?

hello guys i finally got my xiaomi mi 10 ultra... amazing phone, amazing camera and all but i am very disappointed by one thing...i was really excited to try 960 fps slow motion video and i sadly discovered that they are capped to 3 seconds recording (10 seconds final output) and this make them basically useless... who wants to record just 3 seconds slow motion? can anybody tell me why is this happening? somebody told me because frames are stored in ram and so limit amount can fit (in a 12gb ram phone.. really??) is there any workaround or any way (like magisk module) to remove this crap? thanks
The traditional smartphone storage (e.g. UFS 2.1 and eMMC) simply isn’t able to keep up with the sheer number of frames being produced in this mode, making the camera sensor embedded DRAM an integral part of the process.
