V50 Camera on V40? - LG V40 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Anyone using V50 camera on V40? Stock ROMs obviously, root needed.
Backup both Cineshot.apk and LGCameraApp.apk before proceeding, both are found in:
/system/product/priv-app/LGCameraApp/ and
/system/product/priv-app/Cineshot/
replace with these versions, reboot.
Bugs:
• After taking a pic in portrait mode, camera freezes
Versions:
• Cineshot.apk (com.lge.cinemagraph) v3.0.25
• LGCameraApp.apk (com.lge.camera) v9.0.72

Will give it a go

Portrait freezing is the same as previous version 8.0.135 and above. Probably needs another companion app to be updated as well or some lib file.

Using fx explorer. And access denied while replacing.

[Q] Deleted Gallery now I need help

Ok half of the problem is I deleted the gallery from my Eris running vanilla tazz 26. I mistook it for something else when I was deleting it.
After searching I found this over on the desire forums:

EDIT:
New version for Froyo, support for 24bit color and the full resolution on your camera!
Download HERE
Hey,
Here's the file to install Gallery 3D to the Desire.
You have 2 ways of installing:
1) Install Android USB Driver (search for it) run the following commands:
adb install <filename and path>
2) Copy to SD Card, open in a file manager (make sure "install from unknown sources" is checked in menu) (untested)
New version:
Gallery works great, launches camera, and plays videos!

When I installed it everything seems to work fine except the camera button. It dosn't work because I also deleted the stock camera. I use FxCamera. I just like it better. When I'm in FxCamera and I push the gallery button it takes me to the 3dGallery I installed which is perfect thats what I want it to do.
My question is when I'm in 3dGallery and I push the camera button can I make it automatically open FxCamera? Right now when I push the cam button in 3dgallery it just force closes. Thank you so much in advance.
To make it open fxcamera, I don't know. However if you ever want your gallery and camera back, an easy way is to just pull them out of the roms .zip file.
Edit: I suppose you would have to decompile the gallery3d.apk and edit some xml to change the targeted app to open when that button is pushed

[MOD] SGP 5.0 Silent Camera 2.3.6 GB-based

hey all,
This is the stock Camera app based on Eryigit's Chinese-based stock. (I think that this is the right subforum...) You'll need to-
1) be rooted
2) have a deodexed ROM
( 3) You'll probably have to be on a Gingerbread-based rom [vs CM, ICS, whatever])
======
While the stock Gingerbread 2.3.5 Camera app had a silent mode (if I'm remembering correctly....), flashing the Eryigit mod left me with a noisy little camera app. (I believe that this is due to the legalities regarding the int'l source of the stock firmware [ie the gov'ts decided that guerilla upskirt shootings were a bad thing. While true, why not try to get the people to stop instead of hampering tech? ug, people!])
I couldn't find anything to replace the camera app online (other silent Camera apps didn't work, disabling the /system/media/UI/audio shutter sound files didn't work [the sounds are "baked in" the apk], the advertised build.prop script was a no go, and Camera ICS was close, but flipped the viewscreen- seriously annoying). After decompiling and getting stumped by the code (no Java or smali training and no real desire to learn, atm), I just decided to edit the .ogg files (in the raw folder) to play nothing. It's a dirty, little method, but it works.
========
Process
Make a backup of your stock Camera.apk (found in your /system/app folder; you can use Root Explorer or Ghost Commander, or ES File Manager if it's rooted.) just in case.
a) Place this file in your root folder.
b) Change the permissions to 644 or Owner read and write, group and everyone else read only. (via terminal or Root Explorer)
c) move the file to your /system/app folder.
Done.
====
Use
The only sounds I've enabled are
I) Shutter sound 1
II) Shutter sound 3
III) Camera timer.
(In case you like sound. For no shutter sound, select shutter sound 2 in Settings. The camcorder has no sound available though.)
====
PS. If you're odexed (you see/have .odex files) I believe that deleting the Camera.odex (after backup, of course) and replacing the Camera.apk file will work. Again, back them up, just in case.
PPS If something like this was already available, then ...oops. I was not in the know

It's nice to have options.

[Q][Help]Camera app fix help!! need stock /etc/media_profiles.xml

So i tried to get the camera mod for the g3. Don't know what I did but it crashes everytime. I just want it back to normal. I don't know of this is the cause but i accidently replaced the media_profiles.xml in /etc NOT /system/etc so if possible can someone give me the stock xml from /etc and the stock config.xml in /system/etc and the stock LGCameraapp and LGCamera.odex. Whether or not it fixes i just want the original files back in place. Please and thank you
After I used a camera mod I was getting hit with Force closes whenever I initially launched the camera. After I did some internet digging I finally found the stock files BUT after installing and setting it up properly I could use my camera to take pictures but trying to take a video would force close the app again. My final solution was to just try different Mods.
This is another thread I posted it in. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2861347

Green Selfie Error Fix

Green selfie in comming in every rom
Is it fixed in any rom
If yes please let me now
[test]
---------- Post added at 02:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:00 PM ----------
This so-called "Green Selfie" is not a ROM issue. Your front camera is broken or the connection between the camera and motherboard is messed up (I had a Nexus 5 that had this very same issue).
I've tested nearly every single ROM on this forum and none of them yield messed-up pictures.
I have the same issue.... And I don't think that my motherboard has this problem.... Becoz stock firmware or rom works fine for me.... From what I can see... This is a rom issue or lib files issue maybe
You can try adding the app to the hal1 package list. Open build.prop under /system folder and find a line as shown below.
camera.hal1.packagelist=com.whatsapp,com.snapchat.android,com.instagram.android,com.cyberlink.youperfect
Replace an app that you don't use from the list and add your app to it. You will get the app name when you open the playstore link of the app on your pc. For example, candycam is com.zog.candycamera.cameraselfies. Remember, replace an app, don't add new apps. ROM will not boot if you do so.
reboot that fixed my problem.
thank silesh for this fix.

[tutorial] gcam install on m31

Hey Guys. This is a tutorial to bring out the best in your phone camera by installing GCAM. In this case we will be installing a made for exynos variant of gcam called ZGCAM. Same software optimization but built for exynos.
To get all features follow this step by step guide. (HDR+, PANORAMA, LENS BLUR,VIDEO ETC)
First download this apk from my media fire link. (The actual website will push ads to you which no one likes)
Link removed.
Download and Install this .APK file.
At first when you install it, only video and other minor features will work, but camera mode won't work.
To fix this we must use a custom config file to use ZGCAM for our specifications.
First Go to your default files app
When u install ZGCAM a new folder will popup in your internal storage (Phone Not SD) and it will be called GCam
If a "Configs" folder isn't present, create one (inside gcam directory).
After this download this file - M31CONFIG.xml
https://www.mediafire.com/file/u95oyhsvrceqjwe/M31CONFIG.xml/file
Move this file from Downloads to Gcam-Configs folder.
After this open ZGCAM (on the home screen it will be called camera with a red shutter logo)
Touch and hold a black are in the ui at the bottom for around 3 seconds (not any of the buttons). After that an option will popup, saying RESTORE CONFIGS, and after that because u moved the config file, u will get an option to restore this config.
After that u will have working GCAM for your samsung 31.
