Has anyone ported Moto Actions app from the G7 Power? - Moto G Power Questions & Answers

The Moto G Power does not have the one-button navigation. I used it on the G7 and loved it. Really miss it.

?
Isn't this the default?

Thats the Android 10 version and not the Motorola version. The motorola version works with Nova Lanucher while the android version doesn't, and works better in general.

Agreed. The Moto actions version is much better. The android 10 version is all that is currently present on the Moto g power. This phone is too large to easily swipe "back" one handed using the android 10 gesture navigation.

Swipe "back"- works from the left and right edges, so it is not cumbersome at this size.
But I also want it to work with nova launcher.

I didn't have any problem using it on my G7. The G isn't that much bigger.

Wonder if it'd be possible to re-enable it via adb?

[APP] Wearable Pad - Control Android phone/tablet

Control Android phone/tablet from Android Wear
There are some apps to control your PC from Android Wear via Android phone/tablet. However I couldn't find apps to control Android phone from Android wear like mouse. This is just a challenge to do that.
Could you try this app and check performance on your smartwatch?
At first, you need to find your touch screen settings, /dev/input/eventX, see the last section of this post.
Note that this app requires root permission. I recommend uninstalling it and reboot after trial for security of your device.
2015.5.17
The latest version 0.4.0 gets Transfer Mode and Receiver apk. You can control another Android device running Receiver from Wear.
Download

Description
Android has Input SubSystem, /dev/input/eventX the same as Linux, processing user input from input devices including touch screen. We can emulate user input by injecting input event to Input SubSystem, but normal user has no permissions and that is protected by SELinux. Therefore we need root permission and changing SELinux policy.
What is this app for? well... for tablet on stand
Select touch screen from eventX
Android device has some /dev/input/eventX, X is number from 0, so you need to know which X links to your touch screen. The number of touch screen is depending on device. The following page is helpful for X:
LMT Launcher's thread on XDA
For Nexus4, touch screen is /dev/input/event2, and RatioX = 200%, and RatioY = 200%.
More information is here (Readme.md on github).
First of all, great idea for the app! I was looking for a way to control my phone completely from my watch!
Secondly I tried out your app on my LG G watch r and nexus 5 and noticed a few things.
The performance differs, sometimes I get almost no delay and sometimes it's over a second. At first I found the arrow moving a bit slowly but changing the speed to 200% helped! (although the delay did get bigger).
It is difficult to swipe with the app. When trying to move around my homescreen I pick up and move all the widgets in stead of swiping to the next page. I face less problems at swiping through for example the tapatalk app.
Aside from the delay I think you're off to a very good start! And I would like to test out future updates!

Thank you very much for your feedback! Thanks to your report, I'll get a real Android Wear device! not emulator. (I obtained permission to buy it!)
I think that the main cause of the delay is the amount of data from watch to handheld. I'll reduce the data and improve accessibility by adjusting UI, and update app and movie as soon as possible.

Worked amazingly well on my moto 360 + N4! Any posibility to change the X into something else?
It's more of a show-off app for me at the moment, but it does show what wear is capable of, hope you keep updating it
Might also be worth to post this app on www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/ Lot's of people there compared to here.

Thank you for your help! I can't wait for my smartwatch, LG G Watch R, by your feedback. (moto 360 isn't sold in Japan...) I'll post at reddit too then I get a watch.

Need some advice
Hi,
First of, nice to see this app being available.
I got a moto 360 and LG G2.
I can get the red X to move around but taping does not work, do I Need LMT app as well?
Double clicking screen on moto 360 brings up double click, task etc and the all work.
What am I doing wrong?
Regards
Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. You don't need LMT app, only refer "input devices/touchscreen to screen factors".
Now, I got a real smartwatch device, LG G Watch R, and I updated Wearable Pad. Single tap also works on Nexus 4 + G Watch R.

Thanks for the update, I really like it! It's much more responsive than before and I really like the swipe buttons , they make browsing internet or scrolling through my apps a lot easier! Also swiping away running apps is great! The only problem left is moving around my homescreens. The buttons don't move it far enough to get to the next page and by tap+swiping I get it to move about one tenth of the time. But I don't grab and move all my widgets like before so that's a big plus!

Thank you for fast feedback. Now we can't start voice search triggered by "OK Google" on Wearable Pad. I'll append that capability and new mode to grab (press) without keeping on pressing watch for your issue.

Eliminate launcher lag. Zoom zoom.

I was annoyed by nova (and other) launchers delaying the launch of an app. There was a noticeable delay whenever I'd launch from the home screen.
For those that want their phone lightning fast, but also want a better launcher than the pixel launcher, here is an xposed mod that fixes it. The thread explains the how and why, but I assure you my phone has never been so fast.
Enjoy.

It's subtle. I use a swipe launcher and when I'd use the pixel launcher with it, the apps from the pixel launcher ran immediately and the apps from the swipe launcher delayed, or vice versa. I started messing with it and found it somehow related to the home screen. It also exhibits when running shortcuts.
So I ran into this - (pretty sweet nav bar replacement) https://www.xda-developers.com/navigation-gestures-update-app-launch-android-p/
and the author says if you run into delays use thatx xposed module. I did and all the delays were eliminated.
I'm not on something - you might not notice it until it's gone. Unless you don't run xposed, then maybe it's more work. Give it a try... or don't. Made a difference for me.

Everywhere launcher is a gesture based navigator that uses the accessibility service to bypass the 5 sec delay. Navigation gestures (sweet navbar replacement) also bypasses the delay.
Beyond that have no idea.

Edge gestures is pretty nice. Way simpler than everywhere launcher. I set left to home, right to back, and up to recents.
I launch from the launcher, so no delays regardless. I went to a completely launcher only solution when I went to pie, as no xposed.

Sweet . I'm hiding my nav bar completely using navigation gestures (pill is hidden too) and using Edge gestures as my nav. Swipe right for home, swipe left for back (hold for previous app), up for home (hold for recents).
So nice to have 0 real estate for nav.

Since available I'm on permanent immersive mode. In RICE I have 0px for navigation bar height too. Also for about 3 years I'd prefer only gestures navigation method. Since I switched back from iOS (almost 5 years) and BB10 OS (dead) I can't imagine using my phone without gestures. Of course as a die hard Blackberry user I had a never ending ROTFL when Apple "reinvented" gestures navigation for iPhone X. My phone needs to be MINE!

I'm using Fluid GN with Nova right now and am having some issues. First, if I close the Fluid GN app from task list, the gestures stop working. For some reason, the service doesn't seem to persist. I used Tasker to fix this, but it sporadically keeps stopping anyways. I have all the power saving etc features turned off for Fluid GN. Any idea how to get it working 100% on the M10P?

I also found you need to activate "home action compatibility" under "advanced"
Is this an issue only Huawei can fix or is it possible for Nova Launcher to eventually work around it? Fluid is a nice stopgap but it just isn't as good as the phones native gestures.
I find fluid a lot better, actually. Much more customisable and more actions to be set.
Agreed, I actually like the functionality fluid a lot more than the stock one. It's just a shame the animations aren't as good though. It's fine for now though.
maybe disable the huawei gestures and use the xda navigation gestures app or an other not native app
Did you guys use ADB with Fluid N.G. or did you just install it as is?

OnePlus bottom navigation gestures possible?

On my OnePlus 7 Pro, I strongly preferred using the OnePlus bottom gestures (Android 10 gesture bar hidden, swipe up from bottom right corner to go back which leaves the side bar pull out functionality unaffected by the new stupid Android 10 gestures). Anyone know if there's a way to bring that style back?

Not a fan of the app solution unfortunately. It wouldn't be as good as the system implemented gestures IMO.
