Google Playstore change language inside APP - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i have a OnePlus 6T wich is set to Portuguese Language,
Twrp is installed and phone is rooted and running at the moment official OOS 10.3.4.
The issue i'm facing is, that google decided to translate the playstore to my native language, i don't like the translations, Often misleading but i can live with that, what i dont like is the translation of app name and even after install causing confusion. and even harder to share or when someone seeks help for a app it has the wrong name. or it is not the official name it was released.this causes no Standard or pattern... in the end taking "Windows" software as example, in Portuguese it is still "Windows", not "Janelas"
Is there a way to make the Playstore use the English language, but also maintain my OS Language Portuguese as this is a eyesore and tingling my OCD?

@dreameater
Because your device is rooted, install Xposed Framework in order to install and run Xposed module named XPosedAppLocale. It allows you to set locales on a per-app basis, which means you can use a different language in each of your Android apps, and finally restore the nuances that always get lost in translation.

I see your point and thanks for your reply , but I already tried that and it didn't work
EdXposed + app locale 1.4 no luck
EdXposed + app locale 2 no luck
EdXposed + app settings no luck...

@dreameater
It annoys me in retrospect that I wasted my time with you.

[Q] 4.4.2 & Missing Languages

Hello all. I recently Odin-ed back to stock 4.3 to take the 4.4 update via Kies. I rooted with TowelRoot no problem but when I went to enable languages (using various apps from Play Store that previously worked fine), nothing happened. Later I found out when I set the locale to ru_RU, in the Android Settings menu the *current* language says Russian (in Russian) however only 2 or 3 languages are actually listed as available for selection. System apps and the UI are NOT in Russian, however 3rd party apps supporting this language are.
Questions:
1. Are the languages included in the ROM and are just not enabled? (I doubt it)
2. If the languages aren't in the ROM, is there a way to add them? (I also doubt it)
3. If there's no way to add languages, can I pick an official ROM that I know will have certain languages and if so, where could I find them?
I have an SCH-i535 running NE1.
Any help would be very appreciated.

[Q] Wondering what happened!!

I lately installed MIUI v6 on my z2, its all good, but as you know official MIUI v6(The one i installed) got only 3 languages (English-2 Chinese).
The weird thing is that i have installed application called "MoreLocale 2" that lets you choose different languages, but it gives different result on different phones, as on MIUI it only translates some stuff.
After applying a language i didn't like the result and uninstalled it,
But, when i entered languages menu in settings, i found out that there was loads of languages added. And they translate everything. So what happened!!!
So this app must have modified your system files. If you want to revert it back as it was then you have to copy the proper file from zip back to your system partition.
I can't remember where languages were located (maybe framework) but Google knows it for sure.

LG g2 language problems. Need help.

Hello all,
Strange thing happened. Friend asked me to fix something on his phone, but it was on native, Croatian language. I change it to English, as I find it easier to use the phone with.
Than, went back to change it to Croatian, but there is no language to choose from...
There are few English options, French, Italian and few more?!?!?!
Does anyone have idea how to get languages back? Thanks.
wow, strange.. are you on stock lollipop? have you flashed anything?
No man. Its stock, i think KK. So strange.

I had same problem on KitKat when I flashed clean v10j EUR kdz. I have branded phone and that's the reason why it happened for me. When I flash my telecom branded kdz, I can see my native language in settings.
Is your friend's phone rooted?
Deleting /system/cust folder can cause this too.
You can try to edit build.prop if you have access to superuser. First you need to search line about setup wizard and edit it to force start initial setup app after next reboot (I can't tell you exactly what you must edit because I'm not on stock anymore). There you can select any available language installed on phone. You should skip rest parts to avoid overwriting existing configuration.
I believe there is also other methods to do this without using root. Setup wizard app is frozen after initial configuration of device. You can also try to enable it from Apps > Disabled and use activity launcher to start it (because there isn't app icon in launcher).
Later, I will flash back to stock and try different, simpler methods.
Tell me if you already resolved you problem.

Question Is there any way to add a language in Nebo?

The note app "Nebo" offers the possibility to convert handwritten notes directly into text. For this you have to download the languages for recognition if you don't want to use English but one of the many other languages. However, not all languages can be downloaded completely, the download stops at around 90% for each language. What's also strange is that you can't even download Chinese as a recognition language. (Officially, English and Chinese can be selected as the system language.) The download works fine on other Android devices, so I think it has to do with the CN Rom.
I'd like to test it but Nebo is 12 USD in the playstore.
Are you using playstore version or a sideloaded apk?

I had a conversation with the nebo-support about this topic. It´s not possible to download any language as the chinese MIUI doesn´t allow the connection to foreign servers. I solved the problem with both rooted cell and tablet. I installed nebo on both devices and downloaded my home countries language on my cell which has a global Rom. Then I used Titanium Backup (you can also use Migrate which is free) to restore the nebo data on my tablet with the ones from my cell. This worked perfect. I think it´s the only way to use nebo on Pad 5 Pro atm, if you need different languages.

I tried both.
I also thought about that backup way, but i don't want to root my device. Is there another way without root? Turning of MIUI optimations didn't work in my case.

I'm having the same problem. I disabled MIUI optimization but no effect. I tried to bring the app from my cell phone (which can download Portuguese) using wondershare mobile transfer, but only the APK file came and "due to system restrictions" I have to install it manually. I'm thinking just writing in english by now, what is dificult, but better this than not enjoy the feature, btw a great feature.
Try this.
MoreLocale 2 – Aplikacje w Google Play
To jest po prostu MoreLocale2

Settings -> Additional settings -> Developer options -> USB Debugging
adb shell pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION

Huawei Rom Customize ( add apps )

Hi all,
i hope this is right section.
I'm searching in forum by 3 days without found how solve, and i have a DC-Phoenix license that is expiring today.
I have a Honor20 that modified an year ago with a friend ( root and others ) but i have problem that ROM doesn't include a keyboard. So when i reset phone i have only vocal possibility. I need to NOT set phone, pass Gboard apk by PC and install it.
Each time that i need to reset it's the same thing
I also change other 3-4 RoMs with same result
Is there a way to cook Huawei Rom to add this apk as system app ?
I try some kitchen tool but doesnt work with these ROMs. I think it was a simple operation after unpack and before repack ROM but i don't know how found system/app folder or similiar
Thanks in advance who can help me , and sorry for my english

What’s the problem with installing gboard apk. You can Systemize it, but it gets wiped in firmware reflash, just like all apps.
Problem is that actually i'm searching to sell this phone, and anytime a buyer reset phone and see problem .. if buyer don't know about android he think that phone could not work
Are you saying that stock rom doesn’t have keyboard? Stock rom always has keyboard.
i don't know why... but there isn't.
i flashed some stock ROM ( from huawei-firmware or others ) but same results. when i go ( very difficult ) in settings no keyboards are present , when i install Gboard or others apk , i can switch from Vocal to keyboard
in huawei firmware i don't know if it's possible check by pc what apks are present, but i would modify stock rom to add Gboard apk and reflash it
