I have the latest version of Instagram app.
After the last update I am facing couple of problems with the app.
1. Scrolling through the feeds is not smooth as before and it is stuttering.
2. Videos on the feeds are not playing only I can hear the sound of the video. However if I like any of the video then the video turns to complete white (it becomes blank). This problem is specific to videos only. Data saver is not on. But if I am on my profile page then scrolling is absolutely smooth like before and also the videos are playing perfectly.
Also if I go to the profile page of any of my followers or the account which I am following then also the scrolling is smooth and videos are playing perfectly.
This problem is only associated with my feeds only.
3. Under direct chat page if I refresh the page by pulling down, all the contacts are gone on the page and shows nothing.
Cleared the cache and data. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app but no solution.
Internet speed is almost 50 Mbps on average.
Device: Samsung Note 9 Exynos running One UI 2.1.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Try to install older version i dont think one ui is responsible for that it's only about instagram so try older one or wait for an update

my first thread. just received viewsonic gtab. charged it turned it on and there was no option to update to 3588.i tried to update it but says system is up to date.. current version is 3389. when i connected to my pc i noticed on the root there was already a recovery and a update zip. file..also angry birds did not work out of the box it would just go to an empty screen. downloaded new one and works fine.somehow i also lost the stock video and pictures that it came with. i hate to go through the trouble of sending it back.. oh cnn videos work a little sluggish though. any thoughts thanks i do plan to add new rom but i got to figure problems first.. i am not very good and tech stuff. hope this makes sense. oh also there is a white spec that seems embedded under the screen protector,not visible when tab is on but bears another mystery.seems like this may have been pre owned. thanks hope to hear your guys opinion. cheers
At this point you might as well follow the instructions to put a rom on it. I didn't update mine but I just put clockworks on it and a rom. Yours sounds messed up already. Worst case you have to send it back.

I have a related questtion. I flashed vegan and did all the fixes, but I still have a small problem. Youtube app works fine, as do youtube videos when I surf there on my browser. However, YouTube videos embedded on other pages do not work (some gibberish code appears instead). Any clues?

Sorry about the double post, but I need some help figuring this out. My inability to play YouTube videos embedded in web pages only happens in dolphin HD (best browser IMO) but not on opera. Do I need some kind of a plugin? Or is there any other fix? Thanks in advance.

I really like it and it suits my needs in terms of stability and battery lifetime. Nevertheless I got two small doubts that may or may not have to do with this rom in particular. Here they come:
1 - The ROM does not come with a youtube app, but i managed to instal it from elsewhere since it wasnt availabe on the market. Problem is that most videos don't play, especially VEVO ones... I always get an error saying: Error while loading the movie. This happens via 3G and Wifi connections.
2 - How can I keep the 3G data connection permanently on? When phone goes to standby it will shutdown the connection after a few minutes. In consequence I am not able to keep my IM+ alive and running. How can I resolve this?

Answer to question 1-
I'm not too sure to be honest, I never really use YouTube as it canes my data, but it might have something to do with the frames-per-second rate, the hero's a bit poor in fps performance. Maybe someone who knows more can answer
Answer to question -2
Goto settings/accounts and sync/ and enable background data and auto sync, this should help, it did for me anyway.
But be warned, your battery and data might take a beating!

Vevo tend to default to HD videos, so that could be the issue.
I've noticed most of the videos that don't play on my Hero when tried on my Galaxy S all tend to be high res ones.
Or you could have a very useful "Justin Beiber" blocker running
Edit- Just tried it on the wifes Galaxy 5 and they show on that as well, I am clearly talking out of my arse lol
the rom that you are using is a 2.1 rom and youtube hq doesnt work on that rom for some reason, so you will have problems with all hq youtube vids

No mate, the ROM is a 2.2. It's the sense version that is 2.1, but they are a different thing.

no man, 2.2b is the version number of the build Robocik made..
thfis rom really is Android 2.1, accordingly it has sense 1.9 or something older

1 I think Vevo ones are not available on YouTube mobile due to the labels not allowing it. Think about it, who would buy music then if they could just stream it from YouTube?
2 Not sure about this one. Sorry. Maybe try go into Wi-fi Settings > Advanced > Set the Wi-Fi policy to never. (I know it's Wi-Fi but it might make a difference.)
I've had my T-Bolt for almost two weeks and haven't had any browsing problems until yesterday. No root, no ROM, just stock, haven't installed any new apps recently (until Dolphin, see below). For some reason, certain websites won't load. The main culprit is imgur.com, which I try to reach a lot from Reddit. I thought it was their website, but it works fine from a computer. When I click on a link to an imgur JPEG file, the loading bar starts, but hangs about 5% full and never loads the page. Sometimes it will work, and sometimes it will say the page is not available, but it just hangs about 95% of the time.
I've tried clearing everything in the browser app - history, cache, cookies, etc - and rebooted the phone several times. It's still doing the same thing. I even downloaded Dolphin and experienced the same issue, so I don't think it's the browser app itself. I should mention I'm on 3G only, as I have been since I got the phone with no prior issues.
Any idea what's causing this?
I've had this problem with Dolphin HD and stock browsers, opera mini seems to open up anything but I hate using it because its not user friendly and I can't get it to stay in desktop mode.
Im having the same problem today irregardless of the browser i use. any imgur link refuses to load.
When I use Reddit is Fun and the imgur links and even some Reddit links just won't open. The data isn't sending or being received when it does this. I can usually toggle airplane mode and all is right. It's a hassle so I usually just wait till I'm on my laptop to view them.

Anyway when I click links.
The browser will hang and do nothing for about 5 sec.
Then the load line goes up and the page loads.
Showing 4G with 2bars here in the shop.
Now on that same note, YouTube videos and downloads are wicked fast.
Hi, after upgrading to ICS everything is working much better, except for the youtube app. Pretty much every time i click on a link it says "unfortunately, Youtube has stopped" especially when you use the search function...
Is this happening to anyone else, or can you offer a solution?
I've rebooted, cleared data etc....
Any ideas?

mine works fine on ICS AND ROOTED
yea does that for me too. youtube app is unusable. until they fix it i will just use youtube.com

Yup had this too. Not with all of them though. Some it shows some it doesn't.
Settings, Apps, ALL, YouTube... then force stop, and clear data! Mine was doing that until I cleared the app data and now it works fine!
If you're rooted, you can just use Titanium Backup and "WIPE DATA" on the YouTube app!

mine seems to still be working fine. everything loads up alot faster.
YouTube does that on my phone running ICS too. It is an issue with ics and not the tablet.

Did a Force Stop/Clear Data, and so far so good, but I was only seeing "You Tube Stopped Working intermittently, so I cannot verify this as a valid fix until I test it some more. Seems promising, as quite a few app issues get fixed this way after updates. Sure beats the early TF101 days when you needed to jump though all kinds of hoops to fix YouTube and NetFlix
THe crashing happens only for HD videos , for other videos it works fine for me .
Even clearing data doesn't help with HD videos.
Even the glowball app crashes as soon as i open , this used to work fine with honeycomb.

Update: i was able to update the glowball app from market and that fixed it
tried to do the same for Youtube, but couldn't find the youtube app on the Market.

Have problem that the YouTube app won't sync correct with my account. I can login but the channels I follow doesn't show up.. Anyone who has the same problem?
have done the fc/clear data. login log out.
In the browser YouTube works as normal and i find all the guys i follow and sees there latest videos.

I am facing the same issue as yours from today evening. I am however facing it on the Galaxy Nexus running ICS 4.0.2. The YouTube app is constantly crashing, regardless of whether I play videos via the widget or via the actual app. I am also unable to see my videos from subscribed channels in the widget or the actual app. Only videos from Most Discussed or Recommended are being displayed.
The app was working fine until last evening and I have force stopped, cleared the cache and all saved data + restarted phone several times. No effect. It does not matter whether I am on 3G or WiFi.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, like for me. worked fine yesterday. Have no problem with the stability, just the sync don't work
And just now it's started to worked little. can now see my subscribe channels if I go under account.
on the start, main screen most discussed and recommend are showing. here is used to see the newest from my subscribe channels
Start to think that Google are doing maintenance or upgrade and there for its not working as it should.
Have we been able to watch live video with the app before???. and movie categories?? all this under the search button

Whats up people Iam loving my Prime now rooted with Vipermod. I started using the youtube app today and noticed non of the problems posted here but did see that when I scrolled the mouse across the screen it flickered at the top and that when I stream with bluetooth it takes while for it to load and keeps on reloading the video after a couple of seconds even if the video has loaded already. The second I take off bluetooth device video streams fine in HD with no reloading. Wanted to see if anyone else can test this out as well.

Are you talking about the Youtube app Hd settings and that when your turned off Hd the it would not have a problem streaming youtube. Dont think you were referring to my post but wanted to ask.
i just turned off hd in the bottom left corner of the video before it could load... then watched it for a bit... then turned it back on and it all started to work again, in both standard def and HD. I have no idea why it worked, but it seemed to
this, unfortunately, does not fix my problem. Ironic enough, everything else for this tablet WORKS so far.
Also, not sure if it's truly fact that ICS is not supported, or ASUS messed up somewhere... Either ways, here's the problem: (click the screenshot provided)
It clearly says on my other devices Youtube is already installed. However I went to Market on my TFP, and it won't show up. I go on site and the screenshot is what I get.
So, who exactly is at fault? Google or Asus?
Also, I had this bug since first ICS rollout.

I have been loving the phone so far. However I have had a couple of problems. Haven't rooted the phone so far. Just so that you know. Also its my first android so forgive me for any noobishness
The problems i have been facing are :
1. When I use FB for sync in accounts and sync it has the option to sync calendar and gallery. However the calendar doesn't sync. I have tried to unsync and resync it and all other basic steps that I could possibly think of but it doesn't help.
2. This is a bit unusual (Given the phones top specs) but sometimes I have noticed that the phone starts lagging specially when its hot after using it at a stretch. I make it a point to keep closing the apps running in the background but it still lags. Its fine after a few minutes when the phone isn't hot anymore or when it has not been used extensively. What am I doing wrong? Also just to add Nova 3 isn't t as smooth as I have seen it in the videos on youtube. Could it be a hardware issue?
3. This is the one which really bugs me the other two are no biggies. My apps keep redrawing/refreshing when i open them after minimizing. So if I have a game that i am playing and I decide to use the stopwatch and browse I minimize the game using the home key not the back key. Start the stopwatch. Start browsing. Then I return back and when I open the browser the page reloads itself. Also stopwatch resets itself completely which is a pain in the rear. I am using the stock browser.
Also have tried resetting the phone back to factory default and took the phone to samsung and I believe they flashed the stock ROM but all the above issues have not been fixed.

3rd one is bad software optimization, there is a fix in the development section for Samsung JB based roms, it will let you multitask 7+ apps.
Second problem, you say the phone is hot when it happens? maybe the CPU got hot too and is throttling down, are you sure powersaving mode is off?
First problem, Facebook for android was really bad, it started improving but facebook developers are dumb, try third party apps like friendcaster.
I agree the facebook app isn't great. However it concerns me when my friend who has the same version of GS3 can get his calendar to sync without using any 3rd party app and I cannot. But I will give a 3rd party app a shot.
I will be searching for the thread you mentioned and try to tweak the settings and see how it goes
I am not really sure what can be done as far as the second issue is concerned. Also as I mentioned earlier I hate it when I play a top notch game like NOVA 3 but it isn't as smooth as expected. Other games like fifa 12, Dead trigger hold up fine.

[Edit] : Yes I do make sure power saving is off as I am aware it slows down the CPU and there is a considerable lag specially when scrolling pages on the home screen or the app drawer which I do not like. It does improve the battery life to a certain extent but I cannot complain if I get a battery life of around 10-12 hours which includes 3 hours of screen time with pretty heavy usage while having the power saving mode off
