rooted phone for pokemon go - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It's been many years since Ive rooted a phone. I was contemplating buying a phone that could be rooted and I wanted to use it on pokemon go. After seeing some of the crack downs lately by Niantic I'm wondering if its even worth it? Is it becoming too difficult to play pokemon go with a rooted phone?

Actually Niantic - the game's developer - detects any efforts you made to mod device's Android OS / root device's Android: they silently scan your device's internal storage while looking for very particular file names - for example su - or extensions & folders. Thus they now even among other changes detect Magisk and block Pokémon GO accordingly, you'll get

Also an installation of TWRP gets detected and Pokémon GO will be blocked.

Google has probably, without your knowledge, sideloaded the Android Device Manager onto your Android phone by now. This applies to almost anyone who owns an Android phone -- any handset running at least Android 2.2 and has Google Play installed will get it. The announcement was made on Android official blog here.
To activate it, go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators and tick Android Device Manager, allowing it to do anything it wants. You can then, from any Web browser, locate your phone via the Web interface. Other features include being able to ring your phone at maximum volume when you've misplaced it, but know it's near, or erase your phone if you've lost all hope of recovering it.
This sure helps if you've lost your phone, or worse, if it was stolen. You could potentially get close to the phone using the locate feature, sound the alarm and get ready to chase down the thief. If he runs too fast for you, just erase the device completely to keep your data safe.
With Android Device Manager, Google gave basic functionality -- a lot like Apple's Find My iPhone available for iOS devices. If you need more, you can always check out Android Lost, the incumbent king of remote phone location and destruction, allowing various levels of device access and control.

How has my phone become compromised by non-oem Galaxy Store.

So.. What happened was..
I've debloated my G892AUCU5CTA2 (S8 active) via adb Bridge and as it was a stringent debloating list it uninstalled most of the Samsung bloat. This is usually fine, right?
The issue occurred after I realized through my tinkering w/ Synergy, that for proper application I would need to reinstall Galaxy Store and Themes. So.. Mistakenly I downloaded the Galaxy Store from a non-official source mainly based on laziness and stupidity. This is the Galaxy Store i downloaded.. https://galaxy-apps.en.uptodown.com/android The first thing that obvi wasnt right and still persists even after I uninstalled that version and reinstalled official Galaxy Store is this

Very quickly after installing, this fugazi store tried to immediately download what'sapp, scary, and vigilantly, I stopped that download as well as a bunch of others that were all Chinese or Indian. I disabled data and uninstalled the package and every other other package too! So upon reinstalling like I mentioned up above from Samsungs website, I still have this login in Chinese..
What to do?
If you couldnt tell by my bootloader/build that my phone isn't rootable, I debloated via adb.. I'm very new to the phone world and would love and appreciate very much some help and tips/info as I'm going to start a bachelor in computer science this winter and don't know really kno anything in comparison to the vastness in ya'lls ability and knowledge. So any required reading on top of help with the fix would be very lovely. Maybe a mentor? So.. Maybe dm me if you wouldn't mind developing a friendship w/ the loyalest of well meaning ineffectual. Thanks guys

I have successfully rooted my S8 via TWRP and loaded Magisk, am running Noughat/9.0
Any suggestions or help very much appreciated.

Hi....Universal Android Root is another application accessible for Android gadgets that allows you to root your gadget without a PC. In contrast to Methods 1 and 2, the application isn't unreasonably well known and it probably won't work with some Android gadgets. That being said, if Methods 1 and 2 didn't work with your Android gadget, maybe this one will.
As the application is old, it should work with more seasoned Android gadgets and firmware forms. Like Framaroot, this application likewise includes an underlying alternative for unrooting your gadget. The application can establish upheld Android gadgets in five to seven seconds.

Very annoying and dangerous options disguised as "feature" (Bixby and dex)

Hi
Im the same guy who made this post a few months-
Now, Im trying to get rid some bloatware that añsp could be used in malicious way like _
Dex. An attacker could do whatever on the users laptop and the guy wont even notice. Settings is showing as dual app even tho ive never touched dual apps.. i guess this happens once you open dex for the first time
So, any simpl.istic way to compltetely get rid of DEX and Bixby Routines?
The elephant on the room here is that google assumes any random google account logged in that tablet. OWNs the tablet.
Ofc this could be done by having good google security passwords on the google account. Enforce tat!
Or ask us if we reeaaaalllly wanna execute those random rutines someone just sent to is throw wifi

Use a Package Disabler or adb edit to kill them.
I disable both.

I need to completely get rid of those normie features. Tell me which files I have to delete do it doesn't work at all.
This is what's on my N10+/Pie variant.
You might want to keep Bixby Vision though if you have it. Used for reading barcodes etc.
Not sure if it's dependent on any other Bixby apps.
