How has my phone become compromised by non-oem Galaxy Store. - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

So.. What happened was..
I've debloated my G892AUCU5CTA2 (S8 active) via adb Bridge and as it was a stringent debloating list it uninstalled most of the Samsung bloat. This is usually fine, right?
The issue occurred after I realized through my tinkering w/ Synergy, that for proper application I would need to reinstall Galaxy Store and Themes. So.. Mistakenly I downloaded the Galaxy Store from a non-official source mainly based on laziness and stupidity. This is the Galaxy Store i downloaded.. https://galaxy-apps.en.uptodown.com/android The first thing that obvi wasnt right and still persists even after I uninstalled that version and reinstalled official Galaxy Store is this

Very quickly after installing, this fugazi store tried to immediately download what'sapp, scary, and vigilantly, I stopped that download as well as a bunch of others that were all Chinese or Indian. I disabled data and uninstalled the package and every other other package too! So upon reinstalling like I mentioned up above from Samsungs website, I still have this login in Chinese..
What to do?
If you couldnt tell by my bootloader/build that my phone isn't rootable, I debloated via adb.. I'm very new to the phone world and would love and appreciate very much some help and tips/info as I'm going to start a bachelor in computer science this winter and don't know really kno anything in comparison to the vastness in ya'lls ability and knowledge. So any required reading on top of help with the fix would be very lovely. Maybe a mentor? So.. Maybe dm me if you wouldn't mind developing a friendship w/ the loyalest of well meaning ineffectual. Thanks guys

Help from UK users

Trying to install beebplyer but can't find it on the market, previously installed & uninstalled it, so not sure why I can't find it anymore. Can anyone please check if it's just me or whether it's now off the market? Thanks.
I read somewhere that its been pulled for the time being.
Something about a 'proper' version coming out soon.
You best bet would be to try to find the APK from somewhere else online...
damn, was looking forward to having it for the world cup.
why would they pull it before a proper one is here? just sounds like aunt beeb wasn't best pleased with it

You can still download it using the barcode scanner. I just installed it, and the quality from the video is quite poor.
I'm not surprised it got discontinued. Worth using as a last RESORT
thanks, installing now! it is a last resort...
not sure if this is any good mate as I aint tried it yet:
http://www.skynetsoftware.com/myPlayer/index.aspx?platform=Android
PS - England are currently sucking bigtime in teh world cup
thanks, hopefully I'll still need it after the group stage!
try yamgo.mobi, its way more reliable than apps.
Yes beebplayer has been pulled from the market, although there is another app called myplayer, as zoomee has already stated.
That said, I don't think those apps are as good as just going to m.tvcatchup.com
You can watch a lot of freeview channels. It requires registration, but that's free, and just a 1 time thing. Try that out.

[SOLVED] Play Store New Feature?

Hi guys...I'm from the GT-I9100G forum......I'm running the latest cm9 on my phone...
Ok, back to my topic...When updating apps, it only downloads for a few percent as shown in Play Store...

}
But in my notifications drawer, it fills up very fast and the update is completed in a short while...faster then expected...but my apps still get updated magically!
It has been like this for many times...tried searching butI don't know what to search for...lol...so anyone else aware about this? My hypothesis is that Play Store only downloads the necessary files to 'patch' the existing apks...Is this possible?
Yes, you are right, actually. The Play Store now only downloads new content for each app, instead of downloading the entire app over again. Makes sense, especially for larger apps, like Death Rally, which is a 50MB initial download. VERY useful update for people who spend a lot of time on their mobile networks (not everybody has 4G or 4G LTE service available, or phones with those capabilities).
I noticed this behavior on my phone, and coincidentally read it online the next day on a random news post.
Wow...great feature......still remember the title of the news?kinda interested...

[Q] alot http requests from my phone

Hey everybody, i hope you can help me.
I've a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 rootet and since 2 weeks with CM11 M7. I use the Tool Reverse Thetering from this thread Link while at work to have some kind of internet on my phone.
The tool shows all kinds of up and downloads. After flashing my Phone with CM11 M7 i used the tool again and noticed that after 2 minutes in standby my Phone starts to do a lot of http connections. (See 2nd image). I know that the phone updates all the messaging and mail apps but with stock rom ist wasn't that often. In normal conditions the requests look like this in standby:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But after around 2 Minutes the Phone starts to request some http adresses all the time and it doesn't stop. This looks like this for example:
(Sorry for the big image)
Unfortunately i don't know if the phone does this only when using Reverse Thetering or also when i'm online with wifi or gsm. I can only see and chek it with reverse thetering.
I've bought Kaspersky Internetsecurity and tryed other apps from avg or avira to check my phone for a virus or similar bot non of them found something (i used each app on its on with only on app installed at the time)
I'm not an expert but it looks like my phone could be infested by some kind of botnet or similar but i'm not sure. Has anyone a idea what this could be and how i could stop it or get rid of the whatever i have?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Antutu Officer: Phone Authenticity Verifier
Today started off as a pretty exciting day. I received a package from UPS that I have been anticipating for a week now. I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it finally arrived. As I opened the package with my trusty sword, I instantly noticed something was wrong. It was packaged in a box that did not resemble something created by Samsung. I examined the phone and a few things did seem right. The pullout antenna was a little flimsy and there was I slide out keyboard that seemed out of place. I began to question if this was a really Galaxy phone or not so I looked up methods of verifying if a phone is legit. That's when I found Antutu Officeron the Play store.
I installed the app on my phone and followed the instructions. It was very easy to use and only took seconds for it to tell me that my phone was not legit. This destroyed me. I spent all of my savings on this and could no longer afford to pay rent. Because of this my girlfriend left my for a Swedish man named Vincent.
Check this app out if you're ever unsure about the authenticity of an Android device.
Download Antutu Officer
Nice Story xD

Sorry, but I don't trust this app after it "politely" asked to me to update itself by downloading and installing through a third party apk. Avoid at all costs, rather test the individual components with reliable and verified legit apps like CPUID, etc.
I do get the sarcasm though in OP's post since the "Antutu Officer" is really an anomaly at this point for me as well.

rooted phone for pokemon go

It's been many years since Ive rooted a phone. I was contemplating buying a phone that could be rooted and I wanted to use it on pokemon go. After seeing some of the crack downs lately by Niantic I'm wondering if its even worth it? Is it becoming too difficult to play pokemon go with a rooted phone?

Actually Niantic - the game's developer - detects any efforts you made to mod device's Android OS / root device's Android: they silently scan your device's internal storage while looking for very particular file names - for example su - or extensions & folders. Thus they now even among other changes detect Magisk and block Pokémon GO accordingly, you'll get

screen shown regardless Android in deed got rooted or not. You can't pass this with phone's Magisk Hide feature.
Also an installation of TWRP gets detected and Pokémon GO will be blocked.
