Hi,
So I was trying to root my Redmi 8A using magisk. I have successfully rooted it but I cannot turn on WiFi and Bluetooth.
When I press the toggle, it reverts back to off & MAC Address shows unavailable
I have tried the following already:
-soft reset
-turning on Portable hotspot
-turning on USB tethering
-hard reset
-reflashing to stock ROM
-Settings > Connection & sharing > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and Bluetooth
-WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin in /persist folder (though initially I can find similar file with _n.bin instead
Since the problem persists even after reflashing, I think the problem lies in /persist folder. I just cannot find exactly what.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
After flashing persist.img, I was able to make the bluetooth work but Wifi is still down.
- command used: fastboot flash persist persist.img
- file from fastboot stock ROM downloaded from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com

Probably you have requested the wrong boot.img (not from your ,, vendor "), if, in addition to Wi-Fi, sound and sensors do not work.

Hey thanks a lot. I was able to recover the functionalities after flashing stock boot.img & recovery.img using the following commands:
fastboot flash boot boot11070.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery11070.img
fastboot flash --disable-verity vbmeta vbmeta11070.img
fastboot reboot
boot11070.img, recovery11070.img & vbmeta11070.img are from the stock fastboot ROM package
What puzzles me though is that I loop into the stock recovery after this, until I choose the reset to factory, which brings me back to square 1. Any idea what am I doing wrong?

From the stock fastboot ROM archive:
olivelite_global_images_V11.0.7.0.PCPMIXM_20200530.0000.00_9.0_global_c80d9b0827.gz
I downloader it directly from bigota servers of Xiaomi. If I understood it right, the whole "package" is used to flash the whole phone, but we can use the ".img" to fastboot flash certain partitions (i.e. recovery.img & boot.img)

I don’t know where the differences are. but the problem was that boot was not from that vendor

You need the latest adb/fastboot package to be successful.For that,do this :-
Download the full Android SDK here (scroll to the bottom of the page>DOWNLOAD FOR OTHER PLATFORMS>SDK Tools Only)
Extract the zip and place the android-sdk-windows folder on your desktop.
Go into the android-sdk-windows folder and run SDK Manager.exe. Install the following packages (there are a total of 4 packages):-
Tools > Android SDK Tools, Android SDK Platform-tools- Extras > Android Support Library, Google USB Driver

Go back into the android-sdk-windows directory, and you should see a new folder named platform-tools. If you don't see this new folder, repeat the step above.

i've got the exact same problem. Let me guess: your bootloader is locked?
anyways, try this: press POWER + VOLUME UP until you're in fastboot mode. connect the OP2 to your PC and execute the command 'fastboot continue' in a cmd window. if not, repeat until it works. your phone should boot like normal, you can't restart or shutdown though, since you'll be stuck in the same loop again.
at least that's my problem. can't flash anything since bootloader is locked, ADB does work fine though, as long as the phone is running.
really sucks to need a PC everytime you want to power on your phone.. if anyone can help, i'd gladly appreciate it

Please note that on the fastboot userdata command you are missing a letter. You have "fastboot flash userdata userdata_64.img" and it should be fastboot flash userdata userdata_64G.img. Great job by the way, used it to reset the OP2 and works great.

I did it..but is not that the problem....the problem is..when i try to flash some...fail always. give the error : device is Locked. Cannot Flash images

Converting the .DAT inside the official recovery ZIP to .IMG format
The rest of partitions are on the fastboot format, so only system and cache needs conversion, and userdata comes from hydrogenOS fastboot package...

I got the same error at first then I copied all the files into my platform-tools dir that has ADB & fastboot then run it.
Try this tool. It works good for me. But the windows driver for OP2 and the Qualcomm Diagnostic 9006 Driver must be installed.

Hello everyone, I'm from Poland and I've got for two days Honor 5x with KIW-L21. I want to hide navigation bar with tutorial on this forum, so I made this steps:
1. I unlocked the bootoloader- working
2. I made the root with some spanish tutorial- working
3. The phone is working, I've checked if the root is installed properly- is ok.
4. I DON'T KNOW WHY I want to made one more facotry reset from menu.
5. After I make it the phone starts only on recovery mode.
6. I DON'T KNOW WHY I wipe all of data also with system...
So there is no os or anything on phone right now. I've downloaded the official update.app from this forum to KIW-L21, putted it to folder dload on sdcard, and when I try to install It with combination power+ volume+ + volume- system says only "Installation failed".
Also I've kicked out twrp and stock recovery is booting, and when I try to wipe data, It's also saying that is problem to wipe the data.
Please help me with some issues to made this great phone alive..
Alright, I finally unbrick the phone- I downloaded extracted rom and manually flashed it with fastboot. I've found tutorial on polish site how to do it, but there is also english version of manual if you have the same problem.

3. Copy all files to adb folder
4. Rund adb program
5. Write in the command line: cd c:/adb
6. Connect phone to usb to download mode (power and vol- combination)
7. Write in fastboot command: fastboot flash recovery recover.img (or recovrey .img, see the file and type it name) - wait for install
8. And now: If the flash is succesfull, reboot the phone to recovery (power and volume+) and wipe all data. Phone have to work.
But if flash is not succesfull, plug again usb with download mode
9. Write this commands: fastboot flash cust cust.img -wait for install
and: fastboot flash system system.img -also wait, system.img can took a while
10. Now you will enter recovery and wipe all data
11. Again plug usb cable and install firmware with those commands:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Now phone must run. And wipe all data after that, cause I didn't wipe and have only 800mb of free storage. After wipe everything is ok (9,6 gb). I don't take any responsibility if something went wrong and phone will dead. But I make everything with this points and my phone work

their is no stock rom available for l22 indian version i found the solution in xda some1 have backup stock with twrp ill try it then post soon if it work for me:angel:

Download the latest firmware for your phone and extract it to get update.app.
Use Huawei update extractor to extract boot, recovery, Cust and system images.
Flash using the guide above.
Put dload folder containing update.app in SD card. Plug it into your phone and do a 3 button forced update and ypu are good to go.

Ok I'm stuck. I was stupid and didnt make backup before flashing CM13 over stock 5.1.1. I've tried everything and now I've lost twrp (stock recovery is on) and I can't enter fastboot. I've also tried method with dload folder and 2 different update files but it keeps giving error.

Hi everyone, I'm "new" on the forum. "New" because they are days looking for answers to repair my Honor 9...
After unlocking it, installed twrp and RRos 6.0 I made a mistake, I uninstalled the gapps from the system manually, and after restarting the phone, various error messages continued on terminated processes (com.google... stopped working).
I tried again to reinstall the gapps via twrp but nothing to do, after trying to reinstall the RRos (with full wipe), new error messages kept going out, but this time not only the gapps.. (trebuchet etc ...).
Trying several wipes and reinstallations of the RRos, I tried to go back to the EMUI 8.0, so I tried to install the European firmware via SD and folder DLOAD, but once I got to 5% the installation crashes.
Via fastboot I also tried to install the twrp again, but the recovery stock continues to appear.
Looking on xda and generally on the internet I have found various people with this problem and they have tried to solve with programs like DC-Unlocker or Phoenix, but they had locked bootloader or frp .. I from fastboot I have PHONE Unlocked and FRP Unlock.
I also tried to flash the img contained in the UPDATE.APP file, but nothing happens ... just recovery stock. Help please i am desperate :crying: and sorry for my english.

-I solved many of the problems I had in this post, now I'm still in the twrp and I can not flash the stock firmware.
-I'm trying to format the microsd in exfat and then install update.app.
-I can not copy the 4.66GB update.app file to the MicroSD in exfat, fat or ext4 via twrp / PC. I will try with another SD reader.
-I formatted the sd in exfat and I managed to copy the dload folder, run the restore and no longer blocked at 5% (gave a 99% error). The system started and I went back to the b130 with nougat, now I try again to install the b120 to restore the captive keys. (trying again with hwota)
-Hwota worked, now with the b120 everything works correctly, now I'm looking for a way to restore OTA Updates.(I will try to install the b183)
-With the b183 ota works, but not the keys / flash. I will try to downgrade to b120, than reupdate to b183 without wipe anything .
-b120 keys working, update to b183 and not working again, I try update ota oreo and search for a kernel.
-Almost everything resolved! After switching from the b183 to the b360, I reunlocked the Honor and installed the kernel with the fix to the capacitive keys. Relock the phone but the Google Logo appears at boot, even after installing the stock kernel.

If you were on oreo, it's normal the nougat service repair files don't work with dload.

To my knowledge, they are no oreo service repair firmware publicly available yet. So, for now, no flashing firmware with dload once on oreo.
You could use HWOTA8to8 or HWOTA8to7 or the translated russian TOOL from last febuary.

You need to be in twrp or system to copy file from your pc to sdcard with adb.

The problem is just that... also flash system or twrp, I always get eRecovery, I can try to copy the files on sd from another system however (as I did previously with the dload) but erecovery stucks at 5%

The problem is just that... also flash system or twrp, I always get eRecovery, I can try to copy the files on sd from another system however (as I did previously with the dload) but erecovery stucks at 5%

As I had an official oreo, I used it "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img"
I have just discovered that I can not even wipe from the recovery stock :/

I have Stock recovery with + button, eRecovery with normal system boot and Fastboot with - button
So, boot to fastboot and flash oreo twrp.
Then boot to twrp recovery like you would have done for booting to stock recovery.

I flash it, but when I try to start it I always go back to the recovery stock...
Previously I had installed the twrp but I do not know why the stock returned after several wipes

fastboot devices
Then
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img
Then
fastboot reboot recovery

Up to a few hours ago the 0.2, now the 0.3 but does not change anything...

I have ATU-l31 with FRP unlock and bootloader opened. Unfortunately, after i have installed LOS port for this phone, i cannot return to stock firmware, because when i flash stock rom phone goes to bootloop in huawei logo. Also, sometimes it says that userdata partition is corrupted. Surprisingly, LOS can be therefore installed successfully. The issue is critical because of battery drain bug in LOS.
The procedure i`m following is:
using fastboot:
Code:
1. fastboot flash ramdisk ramdisk.img.
2. fastboot flash kernel kernel.img.
3. fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img -u(due to i cannot erase partition for some reason)
4. fastboot flash system system.img
after process complete - immediately run stock recovery and make wipe data\factory reset.
i tried this several times, also using 5. fastboot flash cust cust.img All *.img files were extracted from UPDATE.APP files from fullota for my device.
What am i doing wrong?
Just go to reccovery and download the full firmware there, after downloading and installing the firmware do a factory reset and wipe cache partion

Do you have your bootloader unlocked?

If you have your bootloader unlocked you can download the huawei firmware finder just search it and you can use the huawei update extractor (that can be found in xda) then extract the system img then you can flash it through fastboot

Finally got the problem. I`ve phone bought in russia, and no one can find a firmware for it in public. If anyone flashed LOS\RR after v140 update, than they won`t flash stock due to wrong CUST\USERDATA images. Couldn`t find firmware for C170 and C10.

Just you use false command(fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img

Hi I have a redmi note 3 pro which I flashed with xiaomi flasher. Everything worked and the phone boots up but it lost wifi and sensors. I have read about this problem but I can't seem to find a solution. Can someone please help me?

Download fastboot rom
Extract it to folder
Find persist.img file
Copy it to some other place.
Now u need unlocked bootloader to flash persist.img file
If u already have unlocked boot loader then Put phone in fastboot mode
Open cmd
Use below fastboot commands to flash persist file
fastboot devices
fastboot flash persist persist.img
fastboot reboot

If not fastboot mode then u can flash img file using orange fox twrp
Install fox twrp
Boot in fox recovery.
Select .img file
Select persist partition
And flash it
And reboot

I guess I can even without wifi.. I could use sim data to input a mi account.. But it would take some days. I was hoping for a quicker solution. If not then I will do as you say.

No permission need to apply.
Just Turn on sim data
. And Try to add account in developer option. See if can be successfully added in developer option > miunlock status.
Let me know if u getting 20091 error in developer option.
First I flashed persist with fastboot commands. Everything was successful but still the same problem. Then I installed OrangeFox TWRP with fastboot commands. Booted straight up to recovery and flashed the image as you said to persist partition. Selected to reboot to system and stays stucked at MI logo with no loading. Any ideas?

Don't know now since the phone is dead. I will have to flash a firmware. Will tell after I wake up phone with firmware.
Here is something new.. I transfered a .zip firmware to phone and tried to flash with ORangeFOx but nothing happens. I get an error. Checked and the phone can't see the Data partition. Should I flash firmware with edl mode?

Ur phone kenzo or kate ??
Flash right fastboot rom on right device.
Install telegram app chat on redmi note 3 community group. It will be faster to know and fix ur issue.
