Display manufacturer? - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Questions & Answers

For some reason, Xiaomi didn't include the LCM info on this device, unlike other Xiaomi phones. Does anyone know who supplied the display? because I'm curious about its quality.

Redmi 3 Pro with Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0?

Hey... Got my Redmi 3 Pro last week, this is a fantastic device!
I read a lot about it before I bought it but there is one question left: does it support Qualcomms Quickcharge 2.0?
Read about it in another forum, they couldn't give an answer. Also there is a list made by Qualcomm about the devices that support Quickcharge, there are some Xiaomi devices but no Redmi.
Is there anyone out there who can say yes or no?
Thanks

No.
So, yes and no like always.
Well, as far as I know, the thing is like that: the soc (snap 616) does support Qualcomm QuickCharge, but the device itself doesn't, because it isn't just about having a specific processor.. It requires also a certain level of quality in all the other components (and Redmi3, being a low end device, doesn't have it)
Redmi 3 only supports the "standard" 2A quick charge.. I have never tried checking the actual charging time.. I believe it is around 2,30 to 3 hours

What do you want? OF course it does not support! Just read about that phone before asking this question .... Do you really think it would have never been written? @volpe96 gave you a answer.

Thanks... The phones price tag is low end, the specs are midrange. When you look what devices Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0 support, then the Redmi 3 Pro could also support it https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
Even the bigger brother the Redmi Note 3 supports it.
@MTK6589 If you don't want to answer then let it be. I'm no noob who buys a phone, crashes it and asks in different threads how to repair it. I read a lot about the Redmi 3 Pro, but that is the only thing that wasn't clear. You're very unfriendly in my opinion, don't know why!

I know the specs are midrange.. But the quality of the materials (probably) is not.. And i am talking about the USB connector, the battery, inner filaments, and so on.. Not every piece of metal is capable of tolerating a big current through it without being damaged

Could it upgrade to MiUi 9.0?

Mi Note 4 LCD vendor

Seems like mine is manufactured by Tianma . Anyone know more details of this display and it's specifications
There is no other version. Every RN4 has Tianma.

They said before they are having multiple vendors for display , so they can't put display specifications on website.
Display vendors
I've heard both tianma and boe mentioned.
Tianma is better than boe in colours
How do you access that settings? I wanted to see mine.

Info gathering about the internal hardware of Redmi 3S, X & Prime

This post is to collect info about all the internal hardware of the phone like camera (front and rear), sensors so that we could get the drivers from other phones (if they use the same hardware and have the drivers available to use by developers).
This is just to aid the developers as it seems like Xiaomi hasn't released all the drivers. I just hope someone finds this post useful. All I'm asking you to do is post the required info by checking it in your phone:
Main Camera (model):
Main Camera ID (maker):
Sub Camera (model):
Sub Camera ID (maker):
LCD (not really necessary, can skip):
Accelerometer (model):
Magnetometer (model):
Gyroscope (model):
Light Sensor (model):
If possible, please follow the format.
How to get the info:
On MIUI:
The first five things can be checked from MIUI under Settings>About Phone>Tap "Kernel Version" multiple times to get into CIT/Engineering Mode>Device View
On Custom ROMs:
The next four things can be checked in CPU-Z under the "Sensors" tab.
It would be great if someone could tell me how to check the first five items on a custom ROM as I'm on MIUI, so that I could update the post for guys on custom ROMs.

Do you have a yellow tint on your screen?
Yellow tint will be there. That's the quality of display that xiaomi uses.

Some say that it's only present in EBBG screens
I didn't seen any yellow tint on my display..

I have it but it's nothing big, just a light tint only slightly noticeable when compared with another phone side by side

But I'm guessing that screen variations aren't going to be an issue here, the sensor variations on the other hand are an issue. Different sensors, on different android versions and some may/may not have drivers available for public use.

Install IMX 258 possible ?

Hey,
I've a MI4C unusable at home, his sensor his an IMX 258, do you think it's possible to install it on redmi note 3 pro ?
What will happen camera will not be understand by software ? it's possible for me to add drivers or something on it to make camera working ?
Impossible.
Hey, thanks for your answer, that's sad
@jordandroid64 Well actually that might be possible. First of all check if you can stick Mi4c camera module to the kenzo's motherboard.
If it'll stick then you might need libs and kernel support but don't bother of it now.

Hey go ahead and give it a shot don't worry about the software support
Provided that the new sensor can work with the current hardware, building a kernel that supports it would be fairly easy!
Hey, so I've try, unfortunately that's impossible: sensor is bigger in redmi note 3 pro and has more pins.
I've try with k3 note, same size and same number of pins but opposite sense.
Redmi note 4x have some time an IMX258, and the pins looks like to be at the same number if someone have one, or one camera, maybe we could change with it... IMX 386 from Honor 6X is maybe compatible also.

infrared remote clone problem

Hi,
I would like to ask if you know how to activate the infrared acquisition functionality for remote control on redmi 9 pro ... it seems that there is no possibility to copy a remote control by putting it in front of the other ...
Regards
I had two leeco phones that could seamlessly "learn" infrared commands but I have never heard of a xiaomi that can do the same. If anyone knows if it can be done on redmi note 9s please share. There's a lot of interest on this because there are numerous remotes that aren't on the online database.
No suggestion?
I'm sorry to inform but Xiaomi only uses a infrared led, but not also a infrared sensor, it can emit but can't see infrared
Basically, no, it can't learn infrared patterns
