infrared remote clone problem - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Hi,
I would like to ask if you know how to activate the infrared acquisition functionality for remote control on redmi 9 pro ... it seems that there is no possibility to copy a remote control by putting it in front of the other ...
Regards

I had two leeco phones that could seamlessly "learn" infrared commands but I have never heard of a xiaomi that can do the same. If anyone knows if it can be done on redmi note 9s please share. There's a lot of interest on this because there are numerous remotes that aren't on the online database.

No suggestion?

I'm sorry to inform but Xiaomi only uses a infrared led, but not also a infrared sensor, it can emit but can't see infrared
Basically, no, it can't learn infrared patterns

Oh no, don't worry, there are usb devices that connect to the type c port that can learn
Most of them use the app ZAZA remote, you can search for "zaza remote infrared acessorie" and buy one of those

Hi, i have buyed an infrared adapter...do you suggest me some app in witch i should make the i infrared import from TV remote?

Using Redmi 3 with Google Play and Cardboard

Hi all.
I just took delivery of a Redmi 3 in Switzerland, bought from an online vendor. The unit was pre-configured for English, had the Mi market replaced with Google Play, and very few pre-installed apps. The MIUI version shows
MIUI Global 7.1|Stable
71.91.99(LHPCNCK)
I have not rooted it, but have replaced the Mi Launcher with Nova for a familiar look.
The only real thing I miss is the lack of 5GHz wifi, which gives me poorer reception at home. But I also have a couple of questions:
While I appreciate Google Play being installed (and default), am I missing anything important in NOT having the MiUI apps store installed, or not having a Mi account?
I want to use this phone with Google Cardboard. But, in use, while the VR works fine when head turning up-and-down, it doesn't respond when moving side-to-side. The Compass app seems to work OK (if a little jittery). Is there some calibration that I need to do? Or is it just not possible?
There's a setting under Network->More called "wireless display". Does anyone know what this is, if I can use this to display my phone's screen on a bigger display? Is it Miracast, something else? It would be great if I could use this feature.
Many thanks for any suggestions. And this is just after day 1!
i believe that's problem with Redmi 3 it self, since it also happen on me, when i use cardboard it deosn't work properly ( ithink there is something with sensor, not sure if it hardware or software)
as you MIUI version, if you only need english language, go flash via Mi flash an official Rom or even perhaps Developer Rom (curently v.6.3.25) it's stable at least for me, also battery is good for few days (more than 2 day battery life-depend on how you use the phone)
Many Redmi 3 user also expirience the same problem. Because there is no real gyro hardware. U can check it from CIT mode. Akm or bosch sensor suffer jittering but only a few Yas sensor got the problem, by disabling the magnet in the cardboard. Like my device sensor is akm so i cant use vr but that ok i fell sick when using vr (borrowing my friends vr). I still hoping its only a software problem. Coz there is no gyro hardware, some said its an emulated compas and accelerometer sensor. If its true may be an OP or DEV can make the fix
I have the same problem, it's impossible to pan sideways, just up and down, it makes Cardboard useless. Hope someone can find a fix to this problem!

I just bought a VR visor, and my phone has a Yas sensor, in this case should it work? Can I use the magnet or not?

Some can, some is not. If your vision jitter, try not to use the magnet. See if it still jitter or not.

Redmi 3 Pro with Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0?

Hey... Got my Redmi 3 Pro last week, this is a fantastic device!
I read a lot about it before I bought it but there is one question left: does it support Qualcomms Quickcharge 2.0?
Read about it in another forum, they couldn't give an answer. Also there is a list made by Qualcomm about the devices that support Quickcharge, there are some Xiaomi devices but no Redmi.
Is there anyone out there who can say yes or no?
Thanks

No.
So, yes and no like always.
Well, as far as I know, the thing is like that: the soc (snap 616) does support Qualcomm QuickCharge, but the device itself doesn't, because it isn't just about having a specific processor.. It requires also a certain level of quality in all the other components (and Redmi3, being a low end device, doesn't have it)
Redmi 3 only supports the "standard" 2A quick charge.. I have never tried checking the actual charging time.. I believe it is around 2,30 to 3 hours

What do you want? OF course it does not support! Just read about that phone before asking this question .... Do you really think it would have never been written? @volpe96 gave you a answer.

Thanks... The phones price tag is low end, the specs are midrange. When you look what devices Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0 support, then the Redmi 3 Pro could also support it https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
Even the bigger brother the Redmi Note 3 supports it.
@MTK6589 If you don't want to answer then let it be. I'm no noob who buys a phone, crashes it and asks in different threads how to repair it. I read a lot about the Redmi 3 Pro, but that is the only thing that wasn't clear. You're very unfriendly in my opinion, don't know why!

I know the specs are midrange.. But the quality of the materials (probably) is not.. And i am talking about the USB connector, the battery, inner filaments, and so on.. Not every piece of metal is capable of tolerating a big current through it without being damaged

Shaky Screens while using VR Headset

Has anyone tried any VR headsets with our Honor 5X? I just bought the Topmaxions (white) headset from Amazon for $19.99. I have tried a few games and videos but almost everything has shaking which is very difficult to ignore.
Are the head tracking/movements controlled by the gyroscope on mobile? And is there problem with the gyroscope within Emui? I am using stock Emui 3.0 on Kiw-L24 (US model) B130 FW.
This thread mentions using 'xposed' as a possible fix. http://forum.xda-developers.com/mobile-vr/cardboard/fix-shaky-screen-vr-google-cardboard-t3144144 Any ideas Honor users?

The honor 5x doesnt have a gyroscope. if you rooted your device you can use the accelorometer as a gyroscope. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/tutorial-enable-gyroscope-honor-5x-t3322256)
Sorry to say it mate but i think you just wasted 20 dollars
I downloaded an app from Play store called Sensors Test. After looking at accelerometer and gyroscope you will notice that even if you have phone completely still its numbers fluctuate excessively.
There is definitely something wrong with sensor on this Honor 5x phone. I tried my older Samsung Galaxy S4 on the headset and the games work flawless with no shaking.
Is there anyone that has a headset that can try our 5x phone on a non-stock rom(cm12 cm13 etc)? I am curious if it's the Emui stock ROM that has the issues with gyroscope.

I'm on CM13 and tried using a cheap VR Headset like yours. I also am running that same Xposed module to see if it helped with stabilizing. Unfortunately, even with CM13 running that Xposed Module, the virtual gyroscope still shakes. Given that this phone doesn't have a gyroscope, The accelerometer is used as a 'virtual gyroscope'. Looking at sensors test or other apps that show hardware stats, the Accelerometer wont stay still for some reason even when it's just lying on the table which tells me that either the Accelerometer sucks, or we haven't figured out a way make the accelerometer slightly less sensitive.

Thanks for sharing your experience with 'Xposed' module. It's a shame the Virtual Gyroscope has not been calibrated better. Honor 5x is a budget phone and I feel it performs well enough in most other areas so I guess I'll have to use other phones with headset.

I believe you. I saw a thread way back where someone mentioned Honor 5x not having actual gyroscope and using accelerometer.
I just didn't know how much the headsets head tracking and movements would depend on the gyroscope. Hopefully someone adds better gyroscope someday but until then I'll have to use other phones with headset.
If anyone is interested the headset I bought is very good. Definitely worth $20. This is the headset https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01B...r+headset&dpPl=1&dpID=41TWbzg5XIL&ref=plSrch
This should hold me until PS4 VR Project Morpheus.

S9+ as IR remote?

Hi,
my IR receiver blinks all the time because of some front sensor on the phone therefore could it be possible to develop any app and use the model as an IR blaster? What do you think, does anyone know which sensor (maybe the code beamer) does that and would it be possible without any Samsung permission and cooperation? Or does exist any reliably working and tiny 3.5 jack IR blaster with this model?
Thx
M
I dont think there is any ir blaster in s9+
Nope. Last Galaxy S with IR I think was the S5

Funny enough I think it is just detecting the light that the iris scanner uses. That light is not smart enough to function as a remote though so while your phone may trigger the receiver it is not going to send it commands.

But the second question about 3.5 jack IR blaster still needs to be answered. Maybe someone in future will respond.

Even though the S9+ doesn't have an IR blaster you can get a wifi remote control that works.

NFC and IR on Honor 20 Pro

Does Honor 20 Pro has NFC and IR ?
NFC: Yes
IR: No.
(There is a black len on top looks like IR len, but NOT)
Fortnite
Hello, if you don’t play Fortnite can you pm me the code for the wonder skin using the instructions below. Please!!! I’m a huge fan of the game and really want the skin.
Open up AppGallery. From there, click on the “Me” icon, and then on “Gift.” This should bring up a banner that has the Honor 20 Wonder outfit (a teal and purple colored girl) on it. Click the banner to copy its code

True, checked it with my provider, said it should work but when tested in the shop on other specimens it was negative result as well. e.g. Any Mote says, the hardware isn't present.
Maybe it's just the European ROM.
Anyway I wanted the 20 pro for it's camera lens (F1.4) and side mounted fingerprint scanner which is awesome.
