When will redmi note 9s / pro receive the scheduled miui 12 update? - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

When will redmi note 9s / pro receive the scheduled miui 12 update?

Not even the Mods on the Mi board knowing an exact release date, so how could anybody here?
Update was announced for July, latest posts on the MI board are talking of september.
Guess there's no other chance than waiting, be patient and hope that the update would work good so far and will fix some bugs that are existing much too long now...

Still no update.
Man, I remember when I bought Redmi Note 4 with the mediatek. It had 1 Gig more of ram than the SD version, and I thought back then mediatek is in better situation with the updates, but I made the mistake.
Now I have redmi note 9s, and the irony is I skipped the Note 8 pro, and Note 8 pro got the MIUI 12 much faster, even other mediatek devices got it before 9s.
I mean, not a big thing, update will eventually come, but the feeling that Xiaomi is somehow ignoring this device kinda disappoints me.

no one knows but perobably this month or next month

Are there any rumors about Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4 (like Redmi Note 4 PRO)

Does anybody knows or guess when version of this device with Snapdragon will be realeased? I don't really see many advantages on Redmi Note 3 PRO but i'm scared that Android 6.0 will never be realeased for Note 3 PRO or 6.0 will be the last official ROM for it.

There's always the custom ROMs for it though.
From what the rep says in the comments of their device page, the Snapdragon 652 version will PROBABLY come out in October or November
No need for rumors! This is Xiaomi! They always have a X device and a X Pro device! Wait for the redmi note 4 pro snapdragon version.
I read somewhere it's Q4 2016 for the SD version for India sale. Just hoping it doesn't go high on the pricing.
Waiting for Redmi Note 4 pro with SD international model (special edition for Taiwan, Australia, with 4G FDD LTE B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/)
As far as I can speculate, Redmi Note 4 SD variant will not come before Jan, 2017. It has been only six months since when they released Note 3 in India. So, for it's successor, they might want a gap of at least 10 months for old stock to sell out.

Oh they updated the description, but that price. Still gonna wait for the reviews, otherwise I'll consider the Redmi Note 3
That price is a killer for me sadly. I'll have to wait for places like gearbest/geekbuying et al to have their flash sales.

[QUOTE] Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or Note 4

Hi guys! I've been following your work since I got an old Moto Defy+ like... a gazillion years ago. I'm a big fan of the forum.
I've been rocking a basic Redmi 3 (non-Note) and it works great for the most part. But I'm seeing a lack of developing for it, like I appreciate the work of Anik and everything but apparently many people have choose the Note variant instead the barebones Redmi 3. So much is that, it apparently the Note 3 has recently received official CyanogenMod (correct me if I'm wrong).
So, the question: while I love my current Redmi 3, I'm quite excited to get a new phone before Christmas. I'm no a millionaire so no iPhone or Galaxy S7 Edge for me (nor even a Mi Mix, god I love that phone) so the options are:
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Global version, B4, B37 bands enabled)
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
The Note 3 seems to have ginormous support here in the forums and that's a huge plus, also the fact that comes with LTE B4, meaning I'll get full 4G coverage in my country and basically anywhere. Nevertheless, I'm afraid when
What do you think? If I buy a Redmi Note 3 NOW do I have any chance to have CM support for let's say 10 months/a year. I know it's all speculation but since many devs read the forums maybe they can give me hint. Also, whath's really the difference between the Note 3 and 4, apart from materials and the CPU they look the same.
Many many thanks!
The difference is very small, the note 4 is little more powerful, but if you want cm at this time buy note 3 , if you want see to future buy note 4
Snapdragon CPU have better future, at least in term of devs.
3d performance of RMN4 is worse than RMN3[SD] btw.

definetely redmi note 3...better dev support is everything for me & i love the support for this phone.
mtk device from xiaomi is a big no for me since my previous device is redmi note 2 and the support is very poor because we didn't have any source to build stable custom rom. xiaomi never released they source for mtk device.
Thanks guys! CM support is a huge advantage for me and while I love my current Redmi 3 it seems no many people develop for it.
This morning I bought a Note 3 Pro International Version (B4 and B28 LTE bands yahoo!). Waiting for its arrive.
BTW, GearBest, Aliexpress, DX are all having a sale day (I'm not affiliated in any form to those sites, just saying so you know).

I did not see that video and in no way I was expecting that kind of defeat by the RN3 against the 4. It literally obliterated it.
Sure, in math calculation is faster because it has 10 cores but man... That was criminal. Even happier now that I saw this! Thanks.

Wait for Redmi Note 5 or get Note 4 or A1 ??

Now I need a new phone as soon as possible. My Zuk Z1 crashed 3 weeks ago and I've been using my dad's phone from then which is a Asus Zenfone 2 with 2Gb RAM, 16 Gb storage and a Snapdragon 400. Xiaomi just held a conference in India launching the Y1 and Y1Lite, with the 435 and 425 respectively, other than that they also added a dedicated SD card slot. Other than this I don't really need much. I read a lot, listen to a lot of music and watch Youtube videos and need a lot of storage, I don't game or take pictures for that matter. The SD400 stacks up ok after 2+ years just lags a little from now and then.
Now as per trend, Xioami most probably will launch the Redmi Note 5 in January. And I personally love the Note 4 and A1. My primary concern is if I buy the Note 4 now, will it stack up well till mid 2019 or so, or should i wait for the Note 5 or should I get the new Y1 though the latter has an 5.5" HD and not a FHD display which I feel I need but the 435 might age well.
I've a question also - After rooting, can I remove pre installed apps and still get official updates ?
Any advice is appreciated.
Wait for redmi note 5 snapdragon.
want dual camera then wait for 5... or else our rn4 is ready to serve...though if you can wait it'll always be better...so if u can wait do so or else gget rn4 coz miui9 update is also here...as for unistallin bloatware, of course u can..updates come as downloadable zip files flashable through twrp
Go for the mi note 4 64gb to get good storage both internal and external but it will be with miui.
And if you like stock android and quick updates from google then go for mi a1.. But still almost end of 2017 i would suggest to wait for redmi note 5..

if you can wait for rn5
In case it's urgent:
Look if you need better camera and don't care about battery go for mi a1
And if you're a heavy user like me and an average camera is enough for you then go for rn4 also it has better development support for now.
Please hit thanks button if I helped!
Better Camera Mi A1
Better Performance Redmi Note 4

Is the Redmi Note 3 receiving good service after 2 years from Xiaomi ?

I plan on buying the Note 5 when it comes out in January. I know the Note 4 is updated with November patch, and also how good it is. But is Xiaomi supporting a device 2 years old ??? I need know if the phone I so eagerly want to buy well last nearly 2 years.
Any and all experiences shared are helpful.
Personally, i think not. Xiaomi doesn't respect the 2 years support for this device. It received MIUI 9, yes, but it was still based on Marshmallow, if they really care, they would have updated it to Nougat, like they did with their Mi counterpart (Xiaomi Mi Max)
You can grab note 5 if it doesn't come with SD 625 & probably equipped with 660.
Don't expect much from ****UI devs, XDA devs are always the best.
Only buy MI devices if you're low on budget & like ****UI irrespective of android version.

Miui 12 Stable update.

Hi guys,
I'm just a normal user and i was asking how come that Mi note 10 lite is not even mentioned on the release schedule! Can someone help me and answer that?

I think this is due to the wildly differing names for the Mi Note 10 line across the globe.
In Europe for example there is only the Mi Note 10 Lite as well as the Mi Note 10.
In other places they are named (accordingly) Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro (I think for the Chinese market the Pro version only comes in the 256GB variant).
From what I can gather this is the reason for the confusion. The update should be coming next month.
Because the schedule you saw is from Xiaomi Indonesia. And Mi Note 10 Lite was never launched in Indonesia
Miui12 for mi note 10 lite
Everyday a lot of Mi devices are updated to Miui 12 but not a mention of Mi note 10 lite which released recently.
Previous devices and even last year devices get it faster than a month old device.
I don't understand, how the release of software is done and on what basis.
I want to ask Xiaomi, if we did a mistake by buying mi note 10 lite or you guys get high while releasing the updates?

I dont understand people crying over updates, whats the big difference if you get it 1month later.. its not like the update is gonna make your device 2x better, its still the same phone, with same capabilities..Maybe some bug fixes, or maybe even introduction of new bugs.. If you want fastest updates, you buy flagships. You didnt buy flagship, you bought a lite version of midrange phone that isnt even available worldwide. Just wait and stop crying
