No, but my complete screen contains a lot of "waving", which is clearly seen in reflection of e.g. light bulbs/sun on the screen. Is that the same for you?

Bending is "normal"
I had bending on Tab S6 and now on Tab S7+ (small side).
Good thing is it never got any worse on my Tab S6 in the past and I bet I won't get worse on the S7.

Bent from the factory
Mine arrived pre-bent from the factory, along all four edges. To be honest I kinna expected that for a device so thin, and it doesn't in any way detract from using it. I'm looking forward to JerryRigEverything folding one in half for a video, I reckon it'll be easier to origami than the iPad Pro already is!

I have a SM-T876 and no.

does anyone have pictures of the bend against a flat surface...... at the prices they are charging for these things they should be perfectly flat unless it a curve like a curved tv and not an actual defect like a bent display....

I've not noticed any bending on my Tab S7 +

[Q] Perfect fit screen protector?

So I ordered some screen protectors that claim they fit the transformer screen however they are slightly bigger leaving one side unable to stick properly because it protrudes slightly off the screen. I have read several other people say they have had the same problem. Cutting it with an exacto knife doesn't quite leave the edge smooth. Has anybody found one that actually fits the screen properly?
yep, fits perfectly
http://cgi.ebay.com/3PCS-Screen-Pro...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item45fb4bc3c2
i brought these and they are great. Went on super easy, no air bubbles. They are the kind that have the two tabs on them. you pull the back off then place on the screen, smooth out the air bubbles etc, then pull the top layer off with the other tab. They are great quality. I am happy with them

And does it fit perfect bezel to bezel? I purchased this one http://cgi.ebay.com/Lots-5-Clear-Sc...&otn=5&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=1556935545867845673 and extremely disappointed. Has the same 2 tabs, dimensions specified say same as yours however one edge is slightly too long. I have several devices that I have applied protectors to problem free so i know its not me. Just want to make sure it fits perfectly. Any chance you can upload pics? was looking at the clarivue. Thanks.

The Clarivue leaves a gap around all sides.
I appreciate the feedback. Anybody else with screen protector input or info?
I bought from a different auction the buy it now for 7.29....but it was sent from wowpartspro.... 3pcs also.... sure its the same screen protectors

Yes, seems they come from this wowparts. Does yours fit or is it slightly too large?
i did get your message. yes mine had the iPad pictured on the front of the package too, but the screen protectors honestly fit perfectly. Went on first try with no issues. Maybe you got a bad batch? I would definitely buy from them again

It's very odd. I purchased the 5 pack and tried 4 because I'm OCD and everyone too large. Cut outs for the camera line up perfectly but one side and one edge on the bottom are too long. I wonder if maybe the screen has changed slightly on the tablet... I read early versions had issues and maybe they changed something. I just purchased mine and has a serial number that begins with b6 which I read was from the later batches. Looks like I may have to spend extra on that clarivue that is cut slightly short. Too chicken to let the screen ride naked.

How about the one from bestskinsever?
I'm looking for a screen protector for my TF and checked at bestskinsever.com. I bought iPhone 3GS screen protector when it was on sale. As a satisfied customer I went back to the site and was glad that they are making protectors for TF.
Has anyone tried it so far? What is your feedback? Was it a perfect fit? Did it serve the purpose?
iPhone protector I bought had a few bubbles on Day 1 but disappeared the next day.
I'm unable to post the link...look under tablet section on their website.

[Q] Poor build quality?

Hey guys...i was wondering if any of you guys had this problem.
the glass (which feels like cheap plastic) on the front of the device bends and flexes a lot when i apply just a little pressure...it makes those weird dark circles (you know on lcd screens).
The whole glass just feels like cheap plastic form a $100 tablet or something...i expected more form gorilla glass
BTW: this is the new model with the preloaded TW UX and the Samsung logo on the bottom (something changed maybe)
The gorilla glass on my captivate won't flex AT ALL no matter how much pressure i apply...this is just like plastic..
RANT!!
sorry i just want to know if this is normal or not
i expect more from a $500 tablet.
You have heavy hands that's the problem.. Why would you press down so hard to bend the glass anyway? I guess the next step is dropping it a few times and seeing if it holds up.
/rant
no i'm not trying to do any of that...i'm just wondering why the glass changed from the original galaxy tab 10.1 (the once that shipped without TW) and the new one's glass..
the stock 3.1 one feels a lot more sturdy..the new one feels like plastic.
you can just hear it when you tap on the screen ( no pressure ) just tapping...it sound hollow
(I just make a big deal out of these things..i hated HP build quality so much i switched to a mac just for the quality (i still run windows))
BTW: i made it pretty clear...not pressing HARD..just a little pressure..it bends a ton.

I have to apply a fair bit of pressure to replicate your problem on mine , So I would say if your simply resting your hand on the screen not pressing, just resting and its bending I would either say you have some heavy hands or there's something not right with it. Possibly go somewhere where there is one on display and try it and see if it's the same.
For what its worth I wouldn't compare a cell phone with 4.5 inch screen to a tablet with a 10.1 inch one. Engineering wise the stresses involved in applying the same amount of force to the center of each are completely different, its simple physics really. Samsung tried to beat out the iPad with these, compromises were made and the galaxy tab screen spans a full inch longer with slightly narrower bezels and lighter construction.
The screen on my tab also feels very plastiky, but all samsung devices are like that, they all have super lousy build quality. Too bad they aint HTC, i like their unibody design, feels super solid.

I also have the Samsung logo on bottom and while I can't say anything about the feeling of the glass (have a screen protector installed) it definitely doesn't bend like yours. I applied a fair amount of pressure in the middle (and other spots) and never saw any of the dark circles similar to LCD screens.
I would go to the store and try it out on the models that are on display, then proceed by sending some emails to whatever store you bought it from. Doesn't seem normal to me that you would get problems even with gently tapping a touch screen device ...

Regular, flat case for 7"?

I've been Googling, eBaying, and Amazoning (last fictional verb sounds kinda cool) for a common, flat case for my Tab 2 7.0.
It has become my number one remote control, so you can probably understand how uncomfortable a flip case is, adding an extra step every time I want to change a channel, or having a cover hanging (why in the world are 95% of the cases are now "folio"?!). Also, most cases either block the IR transmitter entirely, have some part obstructing it partially, making it mandatory to aim with "the" angle towards my TV set.
I have found a few silicon cases on eBay, but they have an S line, or weird X across the whole thing, that just make the device look fugly to me. No offense if someone likes it or has it, as we know, everyone has different taste.
I'd like to just get a regular, non-flip, non-folio, non-X-or-any-character-of-the-alphabet-drawn, plain cover, that protects the rear of my device, and doesn't obstruct the IR blaster at all. How hard can it be? The perfect fit for me would be a flat, matte black rubber thingy, with a hole where the blaster is... so simple, and inexistent! Maybe even better, a hard case.
Anyone found something, somewhere?
OtterBox
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Defender Series Case
I've looked but haven't found any.
I tried out the S curve case that was made for the GTab Plus and it fit horribly. It's too bad that the Gtab 2 isn't popular enough to have more cases. I was hoping for a Cruzerlite case, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Yeah, I've seen it. I'm not sure it fits the "simple, flat" criteria, although I think I'd buy it if it didn't cost 1/3 of what my tablet did
I agree that Otterbox is pricey. I also hate the frame around the screen on the front.
Why not just get one of these cheap tpu style cases and just cut the tabs off that hold the cover?

That's exactly what I planned on doing if I couldn't find anything... get rid of the cover, and/or punch a hole for the IR sensor on the ones that are designed for P3100.
What about this one...

Says "P3100", but there's a 7.0 Plus in the pictures... who knows!
Got one, and it fits perfect! I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
PS: Anyone has tried matte/antiglare screen protectors? Been thinking about one, but not really convinced.
Try the Capdase silicone case for Tab 7.0 plus. Although mine is the folio type, (silicone case with IR blaster slot + leather folio) their plain silicone (w/o the leather case) seems exactly what you're looking for. Just plain flat black silicone, no x or s or whatever. just plain flat.

Do the corners of that case create a bit of a bevel/lip where they clamp on the tab? In other words, when you put the tab face down on a desk/table, is there a space between the screen and desk/table or is it flush?

I prefer the matte over the clear screen protector. The clear one gets sticky at times, the matte is always smooth and you don't have to worry about hairline scratches and reflections in your screen.

Now, the long overdue pictures . Since the back surface is mostly flat (that was the idea), I concentrated mostly on showing how it fits the tablet. My apologies for the narrow depth of field... unfortunately I didn't have my tripod's plate with me, so I had to take the pictures handheld, and the only way to get a steady shot was with a large aperture.
This is the general look of it:

Dealextreme tends to be somewhat slow compared to individual sellers from Ebay, I believe this is because DX is the "middleman" liasing between customers who place orders and the suppliers who advertise their products whereas on Ebay, the sellers are the suppliers who respond directly to customer orders.

replace/change the silver side plastic frame bezel around the screen

hi as many note 3 users know, the plastic side frame is easy to get damaged, i have few cracks and one line just under the main power button (not sure just facial or completely crack?)
so, how easy is to change and which one i have to buy ? - im quite noob in hardware sides.
Sure you can buy one on Ebay
I have the same problem, the silver plastic bezel is very fragile.
If you search in Ebay you can found the Bezel and some of them come with tools to turn this in a complete DIY.
Actually i found all the body for this phone in ebay, so you can turn your used and damaged note 3 into a "brand new" one.
Thanks 4 the info. Where did you find it. Could you please share the link?
Thx in advance
hey guys.here is a link for the bezel replacement Bezel On EBAY
i want to tell you that it's not that easy to change it as you need to move the lcd screen from the one bezel to the other one.
there is glue between the lcd and the bezel so you need to warm it and remove it really carefully.i did the process yesterday on my note 3 and it was a pain in the a$$ so i have to tell you to be carefull before any move you re going to do.
Any link for Indian note 3?
Sent from my SM-N900 using XDA Free mobile app
I considered doing this, as I was given a note 3 a while back, but the bezel is beat to hell and the screen had a minor crack. I should've replaced both at the same time, but the small crack turned into a large one and needed immediate attention It's covered by a case now anyway though, so it's not much of an issue anymore.
I dropped mine a while ago and put some pretty nasty scratches on the bezel.
I ended up sanding all the plastic chrome plating off down to the white plastic underneath.
covered the screen with electrical tape and ran a razor round the edge (so I could get to the front part)
It actually looks really good, I prefer it to the chrome.
I got a cheapo battery cover off ebay aswell in orange and it looks real good,
Its a tough job!!!
got my Note 3 as a gift from a friend who cracked it. I replaced the entire Display (along with frame)
and 3 days later I dropped it and got scratches in the frame.
so I decided to buy a frame and fix but its really a tough job.
so I got a bumper for 3$ and job done
I have installed one of those here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Thin-Aluminum-Metal-Bumper-Case-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-III-N9000-N9005/151251742076?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D31478%26meid%3D341538ef5e9d4d6da3228a5f902e8cf1%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D151251742076
There are some more nicer ones our there, however this does the job well and the build quality is goodd too, my first one at 1,30 USD was not worth anything.
thanks i thought i saw same one for bit less than that, will browse ebay later.

because you must be either living in the area where your carrier signal is real strong/good, or you dont pay attention to little details, otherwise you're lying
I have tried handful of those and other plastic metalized/mirror painted bumpers and what not and all to one had some impact, especially those which had metalized paint/metal/aluminium back cover.
Simple speed test will tell alot when wearing the cover, or just go and keep an eye on your signal strength meter. It sure as hell affects signal.
mine Note 3 is banged up pretty bad around the bezel but instead I just figured it would be more practical getting some slim neat bumpers and call it a day. not only hiding worn and tired bezel but also protecting the screen and back camera optics to some degree

little too many ... beware that those wooden cases are the coolest thing your phone can get but if you do drop your phone they crack and break apart sometimes... not always though but alot alot sooner than any plastic case would and thats a heartbreaking thing because there not exactly cheap case, but hey - how often does someones phone feels and smells like real fresh quality piece of wood? I like them wooden ones very much even if they crack and put some tax on my pocket at the end of the day its almost like your personal signature of style ... besides, its always warm to touch and zero signal interference
PS: lots more were thrown out many months ago, especially all those metalized ones, no use to me nor could I offer them to anyone I knew who had note 3 due to what they are
When my display was damaged, it got repaired, not only the glass, but the whole display including the bezel, it was 1 piece.. I guess it's very hard to replace only the bezel

S9+ oleophobic coating wearing off

I bought my S9+ (SM-G9650 DS) back in April 2018 but these days I've noticed 3 lines that disappear when you clean the screen with microfiber cloth but reappears with my oil skin or water. I've read that it was the oleophobic coating also some guy on Reddit got his device fixed and a Samsung employee told him that it was a defective batch https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS9/comments/8g534o/oleophobic_coating_wearing_off/

Two months and 3 weeks with the GS9 + and I'm seeing oleophobic coating wearing off on the spots where thumb is used for scrolling. Not directly visible for now but when applying some drops of water and spreading on the screen can easily show where its wearing off.

Its a problem out here. Service center guys will replace the screen after keeping the phone with them for 1, 2 days but in the process they end up damaging/scratching the phone and then its a never ending process of follow ups . It happened so with my old galaxy s6 edge plus.

I don't have this issue over the main screen (yet) after about the same duration of use as you, but I've noticed it similar to this user here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtDf53wcgmc
I certainly don't have it as bad as him and he also seems to demonstrate it over the main screen, rather than just the sides and the top left. I definitely have it over both the sides (around the curved edges) and the very top left area. What I'm curious about is whether I had it from the very start (you won't notice it until you "dirty" the screen a bit and have the right lighting and viewing conditions) as I don't think it's worsened since I first noticed it 2-3 weeks ago. However, it seems there are more reports of people noticing it get worse, which is not a good.
Do you think this is definitely a new thing or could it have been there from the start?
This is without a screen protector? Scary
Mmmm. I have had this problem with every samsung phone since the note 5, gs7 edge, gs8, gs8 plus, note 8. Now the gs9 plus . I notice it happens if use alcohol base products like hand sanitizer, etc and then use ur phone the OC starts to waredown. My gs9 plus looks really bad in sunlight cause of this reason. The only way to realive this problem would be to hide it with a water base screen protector or whitedome tempered glass.

I've never used any liquids on the screen aside from a bit of water.

I've owned every Galaxy S series smartphone in the past and each one suffered from this oleophobic coating getting removed exactly where the fingers constantly touch(especially the thumb) without the use of any alcohol or any other solution whatsoever and as I never used screen protectors. But S9 plus took the shortest time amongst them if I remember correctly and since currently its not visible yet from any direction or lighting condition without pouring water there, I ended up installing a tempered glass.
I've noticed this in two spots on my Galaxy S9+. A vertical streak in the upper left corner and a vertical streak on the middle-right.
They're not near the rounded part of the edge. They're not where my fingers reach. I think it was always like that but I only noticed recently. And in the brighter summer sun, it's VERY noticeable now.
Not sure of the best way to get it replaced.
Bought it through T-Mobile. Do I take it to them to replace? UBreakIFix? Or any other Samsung authorized repair place like the specific Best Buy ones?

Can you show a pic ? Just asking.
..
Clearly feels like QC issues in your case. Rather ask for replacement than going for repairing and such.
Sure. It's not the easiest thing to photograph. You have to get the reflection just right. But you can see here when I smear my palm across the upper corner and the sides, there's a toothpick-sized streak that doesn't get any fingerprints on it. And in the bright sunlight it's really noticeable.

Yeah its seen clearly. You should Ask T-Mobile for a replacement I would say,
Sorry for late reply but I got my phone repaired for free at Samsung Customer Service, if you also have problems with your oleophobic coating go inmediately and they should give you a new device or at least a screen replacement.
In my case the receptionist didn't understand what the oleophobic coating was and she said that my phone doesn't have any issues so you should try to convince her/him by using a flashlight to highlight the lines/smudges on the screen are still there even after they cleaned it with a microfiber cloth.
I received the phone after 4 days and they had also changed the battery and the buttons without any extra charge.
PD: English isn't my main language so feel free to correct my grammar if I've made any mistake or you doesn't understand me.

Hi what's the process? How much did it cost you? Mine has streaks on it. Looks like a tree branch. Thanks in advance
If they consider it as a manufacturing error, the repair will be free of course. Otherwise, screen replacement is around 200€.
