SM-T585 Solution!!! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good afternoon people.
I need your help.
My mother's tablet, started to give problems out of nowhere. As I was not able to solve it, I screwed up! I put the factory values, to keep everything clean, but the problem is that she does not remember either the mail or the google pass, since she is from the old guard! To further assist, USB Debugging and OEM unlocking are not connected. In other words, I have hands and feet tied! I already burned all my lashes, searching the net, to get around the situation and I can't! Can / can you help please?
If you need any data from the tablet, just say so.
Thanks in advance for your attention.
best regards

Anyone please?

Can you boot the phone in Download mode? Press and hold the Power, Home and Volume Down button of the device. Release the Power button as soon as the device vibrates You'll see a warning message on the device.

Yes, I can. But only alow to install stock ROM, because of frp.

What prevents you from doing that?

because USB debugging is off, FRP on and Google account block.

1) If possible change the password of that email if you know what email id that phone has...
2) If you don't have email there are few tricks on Youtube to bypass FRP lock you can try that

Hint: Use Samsung's ROM Combination File related to your T580 to flash FRP-Remover and its Stock ROM via Odin and/or other Samsung flasher in one-go.

If you knew how many emails I had to create, because my mother always forgets about mails and passwords ... You can't imagine!
That's why I can't go there. As for the tricks on youtube, none worked. I just don't know if I'm doing anything wrong!

I think I already did that, but anyway, I'm going to take a look.

jwoegerbauer I think I know why Samsung's ROM Combination File didn't work. What I got was wrong! But now I can't find this version. It is this: SM-T585 T585XXS6CTC3. Is it because it is more recent, that there is not yet?

[Q] Stock Verizon S4, unable to unlock w/PIN

I am in SO much trouble with the Wife....
Bought the Wife an S5, and pulled her SD card from the S4, and was going to backup files and contacts but entered the WRONG swipe pattern 3 times (I was using mine), and now it's asking for a PIN.
She hasn't set one that she recalls. We log into Google and do the LOCK, reset PIN to 1234 and the phone STILL sez it's the wrong PIN.
The only info I can give is it appears to be on 4.4.2 I think, recovery mode reports
Android System Recovery <3e>
KOT49H.I545VRUFNG6
I tried Aroma 1.8 and 1.9x to no avail, fails E-Signature. Is there any help to be had without destroying user data on the phone?
I don't mind donating either to whoever helps me!

OK I have ADB & Fastboot installed. When I plug the phone into the pc though it comes up as a drive in my tree, but no files, there isn't any real tree on it. When I run your command from CMD Prompt it says ERROR: Device not found
What now?

Try "Adb devices" if nothing shows up, that is unfortunate....
This next way /SHOULD/ work, no promises though , I used this method to get from VRUFNG6 to VRUFNC5 after accidentally deleting some system files, your ideal solution is an NG6 No-Wipe TAR, because it would restore your /system, partition (and passcode) but keep user data, but no such TAR exists... so the easiest way would be to use the No-Wipe NC5 tar, then re-upgrade to NG6 via the settings app (OTA)
Download the No-Wipe, MAKE SURE ITS THE NO WIPE NC5 tar in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172 , and follow the instructions to flash it. (i.e. load the .tar.md5 file into ODIN's AP Slot)
When you reboot, you may be greeted by some apps force closing... all you have to do is uninstall them and reinstall those apps from the Play store. After you reinstall those, reboot again and take the NG6 update through settings. Then you will be at NG6 w/o a passcode and your user data will be preserved.
Good Luck man. Hope your wife doesn't kill you.

NOLEN-
It's WORSE THAN DEATH brother. She broke out the River of Tears on me dude.
Having said that, when I took Programming Pascal was the hip thing and C was the new kid on the block. However I have spent a lifetime building DWDM optical networks, so I'm at least a technoid. I'll read up on the ODIN...
EDIT:
1- Do I have to reinstall the APPS that may need to be? All I'm after are the pics and msg downloads and then I can toss it!
2- Once this procedure/upload is complete and reboot takes place, the is then on it's original release with no security?
DOUBLE EDIT:
What a schmuck....I found the flash instructions....
Heres a cookie for your help too...

1. Just use the no wipe TAR file in the AP Slot in Odin, don't fill any other slots, only check the boxes that are pre-checked when ODIN starts. Then Reboot into download mode by shutting the phone down, then hold volume down and power to boot into download mode, select continue with the volume up button when prompted. Plug into your PC and click Start.
2. Well, maybe. If the force close is not a constant one (like it was for me, Nova launcher constantly crashed), then you should be good.
3. Well, the /system partition is restored. Your data is still present. What do you mean by Security? Also, if when you want to sell the S4, you want to Wipe to factory defaults, just use the Full-Wipe in ODIN.
4. Thanks man!!! I really appreciate it!
In response to your Double Edit: Haha. Not your fault, It took me a few reads through to understand half the stuff Ive learned here XD

Oh. My bad, I forgot to include the step to install the Samsung mobile USB Driver here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961956
Try again after that.
If not, try a diff. USB Port (preferably 2.0), for some reason, I have one USB on my laptop that actually gets along with ODIN. XD
Edit: are you using ODIN 3.09? I know that 3.07 has issues with Kitkat.

Well, if it doesn't install, just use the Google Generic Phone driver, just Google it.
Then plug into a different port on your computer (not a USB hub) and also make sure its a nicer (preferably Samsung) cable, then try flashing again.

Did you get this sorted? Is user data all you need off the phone? Contact/call logs/text messages...etc? Also, why did you not just pull the battery once it asked for a pin to get back to whatever form of security was set previous? When you set up your security, it asks for a pin so she would have had to enter one.

If I'm correct if an exchange email is set up on the device, rebooting wont do a thing, it will still want a passcode, one that she doesn't remember setting.

This is the screen I get when I incorrectly enter my swipe pattern. Stock/rooted. I'm thinking if they went with "forgot pattern" (which I'm not sure why the would), then they would have needed to enter email/password info to have the pattern image emailed to them. You cannot get to a point on an S4 (to my knowledge) where the security will overwrite the preferred and selected security (swipe in this case) for something else. Unless they selected "backup pin" and you get almost unlimited tries then and even still, once the 30 second lockout is over, security just goes back to whatever is set (swipe in this case). The question in the OP kind of does not make sense to me but if he's been flashing firmware, the security lock is not really his problem anymore if he still wants his user data....Unless I'm completely off base here.
[Edit] Her work requiring a pin if she gets company email to her phone just clicked. Lol. She would have had to set all that up through work though and definitely would've needed to select a pin number but that would all be done through work so changing the passcode through Google would do nothing anyway...

OK, so this is my WIFE we're talking about here; as far as she's concerned, it's Magic we're discussing here
She had Backup setup, so she got her contacts but the messages and photos that weren't stored on the SD card are what she's looking for. The pics her Sisters in Peru sent her over WhatsApp, downloads and SMS.
Thanks to everyone for pitching in. Not sure why it went to the PIN request, or what that PIN is but it does warn that after 10 attempts it'll wipe the device...but if I go to Google and do a LOCK command and change pin there, it resets the number of attempts to zero. SO. THEORETICALLY speaking I could enter 0000-9999 and see which one works but that may take a few years ....

Uh. It shouldnt be locked. The phone should be in download mode. Have you been putting it in download mode?
OK so it TOOK the NC5 downgrade, but now it's at the "enter PIN" screen again. It HAD been in a boot loop with "android.process.acore" has stopped. Now it seems stable, it's not rebooting anyway.
What now?

ZTE Obsidian Z820 bootloop after system update (TMobile)

I know there are other threads that have this in it but the threads are about rooting...not this problem so I figured I would make a thread for this.
Anyways...I rooted my obsidian 3 weeks ago with king root and it actually completed. Awesome right? So a week or so ago i had a message that there was a system update to install downloaded and ready to install. I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to do that since it was rooted so i turned that notification off and figured that was it. Well my girlfriend thinking she was doing a favor ended up installing it a few days later. it rebooted into the stock recovery and installed to 30% then said error and rebooted again. Now it's in a bootloop that starts at the ZTE Logo, then Tmobile logo, then reboot. Every few reboots it goes past the Tmobile logo and shows the toast message saying
"Android is upgrading
Optimizing app 1 of 127"
when it does this it usually stops at 19 of 127 and a few times has gone up to 32 of 127.
I'm trying to use the SP Flash Tool and a backup someone posted to re-flash it but i cant even get the phone to use the MTK USB VCOM driver either.
What i want to know is am I on the right path? Anyone have any suggestions. Any input and help would be welcome and appreciated.
I am having the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I have searched EVERYWHERE and I cannot find an answer. If you find one can you please tell me and if I find one I will help you as well.
Thanks,
Nick

I did get a bit further but I'm stuck now. To get the drivers to work you have to press "Download" button in the flash tool, then hold the volume up button and plug the USB in the phone. It should make the connect noise and the drivers will show in Device Manger. But then I get another error message saying i need some authentication file. I cant give much more details because I don't have that computer in front of me and I might have to redownload the flash tool and pull it up again.
My phone have the same problem after I rooted, I called Tmobile and they connect me to ZTE and ZTE create a RMA number (service number) and they sent me an email to their service web site, enter that number and your email it will send you the instructions and address to send your phone to their service center to fix it within 2 weeks, my phone is back to normal now, they just reload the software in the phone. ZTE Obsidian Z820 just released on September 2015, so it is still in 1 year guaranty period, they asked for a receipt for the phone but I said I don't have a receipt and they still agreed to fix it.
i have this problem too.... my phone isnt even rooted. but now its stuck on a boot loop and i was wondering if i can update my phones software via SD card (that option from the recovery start up menu). If so, where would i go to put all the files i need on my SD card? plz help D:

Unfortunately, I think it's bricked for good "for now". Similar thing happened to my Mate 10 (non pro on 134 noxloader rom). Don't spend any money on DC tools to try and fix, right now it's unfixable.

Hi good day.
I have been following your work from another page, and now in XDA.
I had not read your message, and, I changed the recovery for the stock, and, I was an idiot to close the bootloader.
What happened? Brick simple on my cell phone, did not come out (because I fixed it) of the image of erecovery (EMUI) without tabs or options, a rather rare image.
How do I solve it:
1. I did not enter fastboot, I did not correctly enter the stock recovery (I had deleted the twrp), I had closed the bootloader (my stupidity)
2. Be patient and wait for the battery to run out (wait a day for it).
3. Open cmd and place the command to open the bootloader (fastboot oem unlock) and execute.
4. Put the device in fastboot mode when connecting to the laptop (I did not work several times, the fastboot came out with error FUNC No 10 and NO 2), after numerous attempts and not to let it charge the battery too much (because it was restarted and towards brick in the EMUI logo), correctly enter the fastboot and unlock, when you enter step 3 automatically, it will be executed. I had an advance in removing the cell phone from the brick.
5. It reboots and wonderfully happened to the Rom (that had previously installed), that is to say, the erase was not executed when the bootloader had previously closed.
6. As I had little energy, it was turned off, but I connected it and entered charging mode without restarting (before I did it).
7. Wait for a load of at least 5%, and install the Catuva21 TWRP from the tutorial.
8. I put it by command to restart in fastboot, but I generate error (Error Func No 10 and No 2).
9. I turn off the cell phone and with volume up and power key
10. Enter the TWRP correctly, verify that it is installed.
11. Restart system and log in to the system. I had not deleted anything, but to avoid problems, I hope to load 55% and execute the steps to install the rom.
12. Enjoy and dry spilled tears.
Experience lived and I hope you do not do something that developers do not advise.
Gracias and happy day.

Did you have a hard brick on your device? I can not enter Fastboot, we are waiting for board software in China.
Try low battery, do it several times in a row, it has worked for me.
Have it connected to the PC, and with volume - and turn it off forcibly, and, let it restart. At some point you will successfully enter the fastboot, it is patience. Or, leave it to turn off, no load connect to the PC with volume -, and, repeat it until you manage to enter it, can be several times. It has happened to me three times.
I hope it helps you.
Good luck.

For Hardbrick, I think these methods will not be the solution.
but thanks.
I'm not sure what's wrong with my friends mate 10. It's stuck on the 4glte screen and the red light blinks. I'm not sure what's wrong or how to fix it. I can't get into fastboot or recovery or download mode.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
My problem is still going on. No board software for BLA-L29.
Has this S/W ever been released?

I already did everything of phoenix does not work, I tried to make a cable dongle usb, also did not work.
now I can only cry because it is a device that cost a lot of money and has no solution.
MY original version is BLA-L09

Does it respond when u connect it to pc ? I mean not on phone display but do u hear any connecting sound on pc?
I think your phone is in EDM mode, so connect the phone to the pc , download fastboot Rom and flash it via Xiaomi flash tool.

Ok
any solution? the same happens to me. the pc does not recognize me. I want to turn it on, and only the red light blink
Unas veces me da este error "cannot receive hello packet" y otras "can not read from port COM4" y también
"se ha alcanzado el final del archivo. (0x80070026: Receiving hello packet", ya no se que hacer. En alguna ocasión me ha hecho el amago de empezar a flashear pero no lo ha hecho. He cambiado de roms .tgz, de xiaomiMiFlash y no hay manera.

Can you boot into download mode? If you can then you can flash a full firmware with Odin.

Or just talk about it here since your solution may be useful to others as well.
okay! so I rooted my Samsung galaxy a10s SM-A107M, when I went to install the magisk-manager apk, my phone just turned off by itself. I took an assistance, they reported that the internal memory was corrupted, then I watched some tutorials, but I found some solutions, but I did not find exactly for the model of my cell phone, I believe that my device is with HardBrick, when I connect to the computer it is disconnected and connecting, so my cell phone can't connect, I need the unbrick file to put in the micro SD and try to restart, to see if my problem is solved ... I see a lot of reports from users with the same problem, it would be very gratifying to be able help me.
what is the point of this section if mods wont help ?
