Dual frequency gps onboard the note 20? - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Questions & Answers

does anyone know? You can test it here:

I can confirm that the Exynos version of Note20 Ultra 5G support dual frequency gps. The recent screenshot in the article is mine.

What are the Model #'s for Snapdragon 625 [Note 4] & [Note 4x]?

Good day, everyone
TL;DR - WTK Model Numbers for Snapdragon 625 [Note 4] & [Note 4x]
So far;
2016100 = Redmi Note 4 4Gb/64G (credit: @sachin n)
2016101 = Redmi Note 4X 3Gb/32G (credit: @Delkapone)
2016102 =Redmi Note 4 3GB/32GB (credit: @krasCGQ)
I am about to finalise the purchase of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 OR 4X.
I am trying to find ONLY the MODEL NUMBERS for;
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 - 4gb RAM, 64gb storage (Snapdragon 625 Variant; might be 2016100 or 2016102, need confirmed)
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X - 4gb RAM, 64gb storage (Snapdragon 625 Variant)
Some threads have said the SD 625's of both the 4 and 4x and identical, yet others go on to state physical differences in feature/hardware placements.
I just want to ensure that I get the Snapdragon 625 version, I do not want to end up wit a device that has the Mediatek CPU.
P.S.
Please don't turn the question into an argument for the Mediatek Variant and/or the 3GB models and your experience with them, I've already decided on the Snapdragon 624 4gb/64gb and I'm just trying to ensure I get the correct product.
I understand that the model numbers may vary slightly, possibly dependent on region and storage configuration.
I've looked for the questions/answers in the forum and others as well and can't seem to get a straight idea.
Thank you everyone, any relevant constructive help will be greatly appreciated.

Double post, sorry :c
SD 625 is octa-core while Mediatak Helios X20 is deca-core. Some shop list it, I think it's a good indicator to buy the right version.
And I also read something about that the differnt SD 625 versions have difference only in supported network frequency.

Thank you for responding.
I do know the SD625 is an octa-core vs the deca-core of the Mediatek version.
I've already decided on the SD 625.
The problem I am having is that I was told in passing that the NOTE 4 SD625 (4GB/64GB) is identical to the NOTE 4X SD625 (4GB/64GB).
I am just trying to find a way or confirm if there are physical differences or not.
They are identical, the only difference is that the 4x doesn't have b20(800 MHz) band...But some shops
report It in the specification, I think it's an error...
I don't remember where i red this, but another difference is in the Quality of construction that in 4x is lower than 4 ( I don't know if it's true)
The Redmi Note4x is the global (or international) version. It has 4g lte radio bands that will work on either AT&T or T-Mobile in the U.S. The Redmi Note 4 will not work on any 4g lte band in the U.S. It will work on 3g band 1900 which is supported by AT&T and T-Moibile but you can forget about 4g lte in the U.S. with this version. The 4X was released about 10 months after the 4 version was and there are some hardware differences because of that (different brand sensors and camera's) but don't confuse the the different SOC options (MTK or Snap) with one version or the other. You can find both of those SOC options on either version. Even though there are some brand differences in the internal hardware the X of the 4X version is simply meant to signify that it is a global use phone with additional radio bands that the 4 version does not have. BTW, the IR blaster is not in the same position so if you are buying a case or other accessories, buy the case that is specifically for the 4 or the 4X version.
This comparison chart came directly from Xiaomi....
The Differences
Redmi Note 4
Bluetooth 4.1
Network Bands
4G FDD-LTE B3 / B5
4G TDD-LTE B40
3G WCDM 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz
Redmi Note 4x
Bluetooth 4.2
Network Bands
4G FDD-LTE B1 / B3 / B5 / B7
4G TDD-LTE B38 / B39 / B40 / B41 ( 2555-2655MHz)
TD-SCDMA B34 / B39
3G WCDMA B1 / B2 / B5 / B8 (850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz)
CDMA2000 / 1X BC0
2G GSM B2 / B3 / B5 / B8 (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz)
The Note 4 is made in India and the Note 4x is made in China. The differences in bands on the chart above reflects the needed bands to work in China. Since they posted this chart they have also added lte bands that work in the U.S. (band 4 and whatever AT&T uses) but did not update the chart to reflect that. All newer Note 4X's are global 4G capable though.

GPS receiver (Galileo) on Qualcomm Snapdragon (G965U1)

I have G965U1 (USA unlocked) based on Qualcomm Snapdragon. I use GPSTest, Geo++ RINEX Logger, GPS Satellites Viewer apps. All doesn't show Galileo, BDS, QZSS satellites at all. I can see GPS and Glonass satellites only. I have S8+ nearby and S8+ shows Galileo satellites as well as others.
I checked https://www.usegalileo.eu/EN/inner.html#data=smartphone and it looks like S9+ should be supported. Also I had a conversation with Samsung Support and they told that G965U1 supports Galileo.
According to this article http://www.techinsights.com/about-techinsights/overview/blog/samsung-galaxy-s9-teardown/ G965U contains Integrated in Qualcomm SDR845. However I have no information if SDR845 supports Galileo. And there is no possibility to contact with https://www.qualcomm.com/contact
The question is - why I can't see Galileo satellites on S9+ and is there are any other applications / system codes which can check Galileo support? I am not asking about dual band (L5 GNSS) support. I am asking why in S9+ we lost possibility to see Galileo?
Does anybody have fair SM-G965U1 (XAA region)? Could you check if you phone has possibility to get data from Galileo? YOu just need to install and run GPSTest or GPS Satellites Viewer app.
Seems repetition as with US unlocked Note 8 N950U1 (Snapdragon), which to my disappointment also cannot receive or use Galileo Satellites.
While specs did suppose it would.
My earlier question did not result in any answer

Full 855 features.

Hi all,
I have been reading the Snapdragon 855 specifications:
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-855-mobile-platform
And I can see there are some interesting features not activated in the MI9.
I am talking about WiFi-6, LTE Cat-20 speed, 4x4 MiMo, CA7, etc.
All of them related to data on air speed.
Some of them need specific hardware (basically antennas) but I wonder if some of them could be activated modifying the Kernel and ROM.
For example, the Galaxy 10 has same 855 processor but has these features activated.
I guess Xiaomi has left some features off thinking on future models.
Thanks
Probably waiting to release an upgraded version of the Mi 9 with 5G capabilities
Not 5G, because MI9 uses X24 Modem, not the newest X50.
Most likely on the MI10
But some other features should be doable to get.

BE2026 - Dual Band Galileo?

Anyone able to verify if the BE2026 only supports single frequency Galileo or does it actually receive both E1 & E5A?
Oneplus’s specs state dual frequency GPS while not specifically calling out if Galileo is dual frequency.
What is worrying is that specs for the Oneplus 8’s and the 7T do list support for both frequency bands.
Been looking for a moderately priced Android phone that supports GPS and Galileo dual frequency reception for outdoor activities.
Well, after some further research, it appears that it does....(provided there is isn’t some weird hardware omission between the various models)

Be nice to have an Android device again after a few years of iOS. Excited to see what has changed.

Question Does S23 Ultra support dual active sims? Apparently its a new feature of Snapdragon 8 gen 2

Would anyone be willing to test this?
According the latest Snapdragon specs 8 Gen 2 supports this new feature.
Not sure if it will work with esim though
I have US Cellular as a carrier and the S23 Ultra I got from them yesterday allows for dual sim. (Dual-Standby though, as far as I've been told...)
Read this thread
Does the S23 ULTRA support DUAL SIM DUAL ACTIVE (DSDA)
Hello, The Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is supporting DUAL SIM DUAL ACTIVE (DSDA) . The question is the galaxy s23 ultra have that feature ? if not , why ? and how to enable it . Thank you
