[Q] Missing nv_data.bin files and can't unlock to other carriers

so i did a factory reset with the volume up+volume down+power button/homebutton and it wiped all my ****. ALL of it. i tried to unlock my phone to another carrier and kept getting an error that said, missing nv_data.bin file. This was using the XDA unlock method. So i thought, hey, I'll just get an unlock code from a friend. Got the code after giving the IMEI number but STILL cant unlock it. Need some help please cause im phoneless and have this locked awesome phone. BTW im ATT and its a TMOBILE phone. I believe the problem is because I reset my phone first...so is there a way to restore my phone? or the files at least so i can unlock it? Plez and ty

Thanks bro. I tried looking at the NOOB guide stickied in the Q&A thread but it seems like a much more complicated process than i thought. Do i have to root first? What files are necessary? Sorry I am absolutely clueless. Just want a useable phone..

I can't boot into recovery

Device specs: motorola atrix running 2.3.4 rooted
Carrier:At&t
I flashed clock work recovery and it says it successful. But I can't boot into recovery to make a backup of the stock rom. Every time I try i get the android with a triangle above his head.
I've tried taking the battery out and plugging the phone into the charger as suggested here but it didn't work.I would really appreciate the help I've tried everything i could think to make it work. This is the second atrix I've had do this. Thanks in advance
go back to fastboot, and erase your recovery img and re-flash
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash revovery <recoveryname.img>
fastboot reboot
It didn't work when I try to erase the recovery this is the message I get erasing 'reccovery'... FAILED (remote: (00030003)).
I feel like an idiot but i think i figured it out. I don't think I ever unlocked my bootloader on my phone.Could this be the source of my problems. If so is there a new way to unlock the bootloader since oem unlock method no longer works.
Yes that could be your problem there and be grateful that you didn't get a hardbrick. There is always a solution but, Google should give you some nice links or search the xda thread.

Just in case someone reads this thread because they are having a similar issue, but they are unlocked make sure to delete the recovery install file. I can't remember where it is, but you need root access. It's named something like install-recovery.sh (I think) lol
edit: theres an all in one that makes unlocking simple. look for the noob sticky in the general section
DELETE a file named Install-recovery.sh
In system/etc then you can boot into recovery! :banghead:

YES!!! I got it to work by unlocking the bootloader with the script in the noob sticky.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out.

[Q] Need Help (pantech marauder) Please.

I recently rooted my ADR910L (verizon) and all was working fine. I then proceeded to accidently flash the wrong cwm recovery via rom-manager,
My phone instantly froze and i let it stay frozen for a good 15 minuites before removing the battery. Now i am stuck and the "PANTECH" logo boot screen. I can use fastboot however all i ever get when trying to flash is (failed:...remote: not support!!!). I can also boot into Android Recovery <3e> but when i try to hard reset, is states , " failed to mount /system.
Ive been trying for a week now and im going crazy. Can some one please help, or let me know if I'm completely screwed?
And btw i have all the correct drivers for my phone.
Anyone

It would probably help if you asked in the Q&A section and not the Software/Hacking section.
Thanks
Hey thanks for the reply. I am aware of ware all my comments are posted. Any word on a Ron for Pantech Marauder?

[Q] Help. Im screwed.

So I totally bricked my new Nexus 7 (2013).
I unlocked and rotted it perfectly, but then I tried to (foolishly) install Chainfire 3D on it.
Now when I turn it on, the google and unlocked sign come on, then go away after about 5 seconds.
There is no boot animation, and there is no recovery WILL NOT GO INTO RECOVERY. I just want my tablet back. I tried to flash ROM's on it to fix it, but I need to go into recovery for that. My Nexus 7 will not go into recovery.
Guys, I desperately need your help.
Save me the 300 euro I paid for!
Thanks.
Your tablet isn't bricked. If it turns on at all it isn't bricked. Get it to the bootloader and perform a factory reset.
Sent from my Evita.
ehhh...
Sorry, I forgot to say that one: THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS RECOVERY OR BOOTLOADER.
and two: IT DOES TURN ON, BUT IS IN A BOOTLOOP WITH NO ANIMATION.
Is literally as useful as a brick.
any ideas?
So the button combination (volume down + power) doesn't get you to bootloader? Is there any reason you're not asking this question in the Nexus 7 forum? You'd likely get better help there.
Also, I found this thread:

Galaxy s7 Bootloader lvl 6 BRD2 ROOT&FRP BYPASS COMPLETE!!

I first want to say this was not done for illegal purposes whatsoever nor do I agree with that crap. With that being said my mother forgot her password and username and didn't realize the importance paying attention to her back up password or username to recover her first one. Anyway the model is SM-G930P what the bootloader level 6 from the update that just recently occurred. BRD2 I believe. Anyway, I have to go to work soon but I just was able to bypass it and get her back into her phone very quickly and easily and I didn't know of anyone had post it on here yet so I wanted to do it quickly I can give him better tutorial after work.
How to do it:
Put your S7 in download mode with power home button and volume down. Google Flash Galaxy S7 SM-G930P s boot file. It will send you to a sm-g930f file don't worry it still works and is the one I used. So download that file its S7 g930f_king$ that's what shows up on my computer after I download it. Anyway open up Odin 3.12 Princecosmy and Flash that as boot file or image file under your bootloader or BL section of Odin and let it do anything quickly and it will pass and reboot. And when it boots back up to your surprise I'm sure because it was mine also it was able to connect and find ADB so I was able to run my GSM flasher FRP reactivation lock remover Pro and as long as you're Samsung drivers are installed it will pick it up on its port number. Click on the bypass FRP tab which is the one on the right of the two go down and click bypass FRP and boom you're done. So in conclusion get to export file from Kingsfirmware.com and search flash galaxy s7 sm-g930p and it will take you to sm-g930f flash. Download the sboot file s7 g930f_king$. Flash it via Odin under BL tab. Let it pass and reboot the run GSM Flasher YEP Reactivation Lock Remover Pro and under the Bypass FRP tab click Bypass FRP towards bottom and kick back!! Boom done. Buy me a beer my PayPal is [email protected]
This will also root your phone!

can you post a tutorial and or screenshot of the phone with root etc cuz I tried this earlier and I got the Bl to flash and ran the FRP unlocker but I did not get root in the process please explain in more detail how you did what you did
Yes I would also like some more imfo on this because if this is true, you may have just solved the whole bootloader crap by accident. Will certainly be watching this!

I already got it rooted I will be posting a tutorial later on today but he is right though, I also rooted using the 2017 eng boot along with the root.bat file, getting major lag and battery drain although I have fixed the lag mostly by using the fixes posted by similar root methods.

Where in that post did it say that process would give you root? It was just to bypass frp. Not one mention of it giving you root. Maybe you need to re read it.

you just made yourself look stupid because it clearly states in the very last line of his post that "this will also root your phone" maybe you need to reread it.

Sure, I look stupid because of someone's inaccurate edit. What part of that process did you think was going to give you root??? Maybe you should rethink your Android experience. That should have said "will allow you to root with previous methods". Anyone can see. But go ahead and wonder why it didn't.

sigh, this is my last post on the matter since I am here to share and learn not bash anyone, you replied to my message hoping to gain what? why did you not quote the OP and ask him to clarify just as I did in case you missed that aswell. you are the one who made the mistake not me he did not say that you would need to use previous/other methods + this to get root he said this will give you root so why would I assume i would need to do anything else, I did get my phone rooted using a part of his method but he did not state that a part of it will give you root he said "it will give you root" so anyone would think that nothing else would be needed since it is entirely possible that the FRP unlock could have rooted the phone in the process of unlocking and if you dont know that then you again need to rethink your android experience.
lol how tha hell do you know what it should have said..... I am done here.:laugh:
