In my new Mi 10 sometimes duplicate pictures are created by Google photos (a 0.7MP is created). It happens around 50% of the time without being obvious when that is. I have read in the past that other MIUI phones also had the same problem. Is there a clear solution on that?

Same problem here, I didn't find any solution. ?
I use an older Version of Google Photos (4.13.0.240385459) and it's all working fine.

So the problem is the app or the MIUI? In that case I will post a question to Google. However, I see many Xiaomi users facing the same issue.
google photos must be closed and must not run in the background

My Google plus auto backup is working fine. I get the notifications shortly after taking the photos that they have been uploaded and I can view them from within the Google plus app and online however when I go into the stock gallery app on my s4 and open up the auto backup album it is not showing the newest photos that got uploaded today.
Any ideas ?

Does it show up in the Google's Picasa? I know I have auto upload on and I only saw 1 picture in my Auto backup folder on Picasa. This is weird.
Bump. Having the same issue. Different phone though. HTC One. I think this happened around the time that Google updated Google + and Picasa's "Instant Upload" to, "Auto Backup." Help?

Anyone ever find a solution to this? My autoback pics are not showing up in my gallery.
I've been using Google News & Weather for years now and starting last week, the app only shows three stories per section. I'm not sure whats causing this. I used to have a full screen of stories per section and then some. Anyone else having this issue or know how I can get more stories per section. The issue I'm describing applies to all sections except "Headlines" and "Suggested for you".
I'm rooted with stock 5.1 on Nexus 4. I've tried uninstalling the app as well as the updates. Also tried clearing cache/data.

Same problem here, Moto g lte tried reinstall, cache and data clean to no avail ... I suspect that it may be something to do with data stored in Google?
<update> Within News and Weather I have logged in with my Google account and everything is back to normal ...

My issue seems to have resolve itself, not sure how.
Does anyone have a problem with random Google Photos freezing? For example when I swipe through gallery on full screen, sometimes it freezees and I have to restart the phone by long pressing the power button. It usually happens after watching movie recorded by Mate's camera and when I swipe to a next movie or photo.
It's really frustrating especially that I love using Google Photos app and I use it's cloud service. For now I have to switch to native gallery app and have my fingers cross for Huawei to allow to buy more than 5 GB of storage space in Huawei's cloud.
My Mate 10 Pro is from official distribution on the newest Huawei's software, Google Photo app is also up to date.

Same also have an issue where if you get a notification from Google photos and click on it it doesn't open the app
I cleaned Google photos app's data and it's been working well for some days. I hope it would stay this way, because - for me - it's the best cloud solution with the great app on market. I think it's a problem with Mate's software, or maybe with Oreo 'cause on my LG G4 with a previous Android's version it worked without problems.
Edit: after recording new movies the problem is here again...

I had problem today aswell went on to Google photos and they was there but was all greyed out had to turn fone off an on and it worked again
Also does anyone know how often themes store updates with new themes

You can leave a feedback from inside the google photos app, I just did that. Maybe it helps.
hi wondering if anyone is able to check if google messages & google camera (both by google LLC) work on s10 lite.
I tried out the phone in store & neither of those apps even showed up in the play store when using the s10 lite. google contacts did & installed no issues so not sure why messages & camera would be an issue. Might be demo software issue but strange it would only affect certain google apps & not them all. Also i tried it in 2 different stores where the demo software would be different & same issue on both.
would appreciate of a screenshot of the search results on play store for both apps if possible. thanks in advance.

My Pocofone is fully updated with all the new version of MIUI and apps.
Google Photos is the only app. creating issue and crashes when opening.
I removed and installed it several times, no go
I removed all Photos backed up in Google Photos, no go.
I would like no to perform a factory reset, if not absolutely necessary.
All apps. from Google or not are working perfectly.
Is there a way to have it solve. Also the last version of Google Photos from yesterday did not solve anything.
I am not a "super advanced user" and I would keep the phone with the "original" software and not customs roms.
