802SO to global Rom? - Sony Xperia 1 Questions & Answers

Hi can I change firmware on 802SO to global Rom?
Mine is unlock bootloader allowed: yes

I don't think anyone has done that yet.
Realated questions: when changing firmware are you required to unlock bootloader?

I used Xperifirm and Flashtool. Something similar to the following guide:
""xperiablog.net/2014/08/16/create-your-own-ftf-firmware-files-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool-guide/""
Which firmware did you use?
Wow, anyone have any idea why it is not enabled? Due to patents? Not working well with US's prints?

How is your mobile signal after flashing the Italy firmware? Mine is pretty bad. It shows "4G" but the speed is like 2G. I tried the Italy, UK and Nordic firmwares all with the same problem.
EDIT: It worked in the end.

Newflasher ???

Somebody tried to flash the 10 plus with Newflasher ? Does it works with this device or not ?
I tried Newflasher with I3213 (single SIM) and I4293 (dual SIM).
This flasher worked well.

Everything flashed successfully and the phone booted fine ?
I`m asking because i see that there`s another file structure in the FTF, and i`m not sure that Newflasher work propertly with it, but if you say that flashed fine, i`ll flash it too when i get the phone Wanna change region from Asian to my native.
+1 what Masa said. I did a full flash with it (I3223). It worked fine.
I flashed UK firmware on HK device.
The device is working perfectly.
I flashed the phone with newflasher right now, everything`s ok
Many thanks to all who answered!

Enable VoLTE on EE in the UK?

I have a sim unlocked Xperia 1 J8110, there is no such option in the settings for VoLTE anywhere, I tried doing *#*#4636#*#* then going on to phone information, but the VoLTE provisioned is grey'd out, is the another firmware I can flash?, Preferably unbranded as I don't want bloatware.
Edit: my device was previously on Vodafone before unlocking, does that make a difference, also my build number is 55.0.A.6.16

I've got Xperia 1 from o2. It was factory unlocked but branded to o2.
I've had to flash unbranded generic UK to get VoLTE and VoWiFi on EE.

The first to receive the updates usually are RU an UA regions, not UK... But J8110 firmware of that regions are not available.

I thought Customized firmware was best and fastest but EE had update first, why is this? Is unbranded not better anymore

Ah OK thank you
With 1ii, it's possible to flash HK, TW or EU ROMs but you will not get mobile signal. I tried all kind of ROMs but had to come back to stock Chinese ROM at the end.
It's lucky that in chinese ROM we still have Google Service and all you need is install Play Store APK, unlike Huawei or some others. Bloatwares can also be uninstalled easily.
I'm having 1iii XQ-BC72 now and pretty sure it will be the same. But need to wait for Xperifirm to release firmwares of other market first then I will try and come back here.

You couldn't get any signal back in 1 II because the CN model is XQ-AT72 while HK and TW are XQ-AT52. That's a different model with different baseband configuration.
But this time with 1 III, All three regions are sharing the same model XQ-BC72. So cross-region flashing shouldn't be a problem.
I have successfully flashed TW ROM on XQ-BC72 CN version using newflasher. Everything works fine
