X3 SuperZoom vs Xiaomi Mi 10T? - Realme X3 SuperZoom Questions & Answers

Okay, so I can buy the X3 for 395 EUR, the 12/256 variant, which seems overkill, but I can't find a better deal for the 6/128. Or I can get the Mi 10T for 435 EUR.
My main interests are:
Temperatures - I do not want any overheating, I want to be able to play a heavy game for a couple hours and not have the phone begging for me to stop.
Battery drain - How would these 2 phones compare, for example, after playing a heavy game for 2 hours. (looking for an educated estimate, as there are no youtube videos showing bat. drain on the Mi 10T)
Performance - Hardware wise they seem similar but idk how they actually perform
Support from tools, ROMs - not a big deal but a decent plus.
If someone could compare these topics between the two phones I would be very very thankful!

Hi Ancion,
I'm Using X3 superzoom for almost 4 months
Its a good device, i Play alot of shooter games like COD and PUBG..
Never stuck never hanged,
Well it heats up According to situation (As per play)
Next looking forward to Mi 10T Pro..
I found that better then X3 SuperZoom..
As MIUI is Better then RealmeUI..
Also 865 is far better then 855+..

At amazon.es X3 Super Zoom 12/256GB for only 322€

If you were to change...

Hi folks I just shattered the screen of my Redmi Note 3 SD version (RN3). I had this phone since early 2016 and though it's still working and I could prolly do a service job on it for $50 and extend its life to a year or so I feel sticking to this phone any further wouldn't be to my advantage.
So I'm in the market for a new phone and I would really love to hear your precious advise so I may get the best available option for my hard earned bucks.
My budget is around $350. I'm not a brand fan boi, I don't mind going for unknown brands if the build quality is there. B/C with a good build quality you can get the best out of your phone under XDA. So when I go for a smartphone the features I pay attention to are:
1-If the phone can handle recent games. If a phone can handle recent games odds are high that it will perform well in everyday life.
2-It must have a great community under XDA so that if the manufacturers aren't arsed to push updates, you can still get the best out of your phone by for e.g flashing a custom rom or the Google cam or flash the latest security patch and so on.
3-The camera specs should be good (not expecting pixel3 stuffs or p30 results), but should be able to take good shots when I go on road trips.
Having said that, phones that have caught my eye so far are the Huawei Y9(2019 version) and the Xiaomi Poco Phone F1. So what do you lads think!
The Huawei Y9 is out as per your stated requirements as they don't even allow bootloader unlocking. There might be unofficial methods. Poco F1 looks to be the best choice but I don't know if the initial issues like backlight bleeding, touch latency etc have been fixed. Redmi Note 7 Pro is another decent option but the price difference between its 6GB model and Poco F1 base variant is too little. Realme has opened up BL unlocking but the pace of development doesn't seem very encouraging. Otherwise the Realme 3 Pro appears to pack solid hardware. Dunno when the Poco F2 will be launched.

Thanks for input. I though pretty much the same Poco F1 would be the best option!

Wait for Mi A3 . not sure its launching date. it is android one device. Bootloader unlocking is very easy for android one phone.
Updates will given by google and not xiaomi. Also u will get 3 android updates. Spec will be same like rn7 pro.
Or buy rn7 pro. It has QC 4.0 charging and 4000mah battery.
From Kenzo, I used Tissot which is Mi A1 and now lavender which is Redmi Note 7.
Redmi Note 7 aka lavender as of now has very minimal development going on based on xda threads available. But the good thing is that it supports treble so gsi will provide you with a lot of custom rom and me myself is using a GSI now. Violet aka Note 7 Pro on the other hand has a better development than lavender. It has great camera too considering you are using gcam to full utilize the camera and also lavender's camera is Greta as well but not as good as violet. Lavender has Snapdragon 660 and violet has Snapdragon 675.

Can anyone recommend a better phone for €240?

It's nearly Christmas and I'm looking for a gift for my mum. For the past 4 years she's been using a Samsung Galaxy s3 and has been reluctant to upgrade, though at this point it's become so temperamental that Santa's gonna put his foot down and get her a new phone
I love my pocophone, she loves the photos I take with it and I've got a chunk of cash burning a hole in my pocket. I've seen the 128 gb version new for €240 which seems a no brainer
MIUI is no harder to use than the antiquated junk on her s3 and she'll love the 2 day battery life
My question to you good people is:
I haven't been watching the other phones on the market. Is there anything that competes seriously in the same price range? I'd rather not get her anything second hand as Santa still doesn't recycle, surprisingly enough
Thanks for any suggestions
I was hoping for the note 10 / cc9 pro but I'd say other than the camera it is worse and costs 450€, like wtf. The only thing which the poco is lacking in my opinion is nfc. If she is not going to use it she'll be perfectly fine with the phone. Ah and ghost touches. Lets hope that there are no fts panels around anymore or whatever the reason for that is.
I would say the Poco F1 might be overkill. Go checkout the Redmi Note 7 or Redmi Note 8 plenty fast and also very good camera. Might be a bit cheaper and will work just as good.

I miss NFC too, but mum wouldn't know what to do with it! Agreed about the note 10. Wondered about getting her a Redmi Note 8, but I gather the camera lets it down

Perhaps you're right - any opinions of the camera?
I guess the battery life would be huge too, given the processor
The Moto One Action And One Vision are pretty good fones...

If she has an S3 now she will be over the moon with the Redmi Note 7 or 8 camera, my colleague was really happy with the pictures. A serious advantage over the S3 in darker wintertime etc. Also the speed of the camera is a lot faster. You can also install Gcam on them without rooting or modding them which is also great if you want to get her into photography.
When it comes down to battery life, yup, both phones are really amazing.
I also own a Redmi Note 5 pro and to be honest and fair, the processor in the Poco F1 is overkill for what I do. The Redmi Note 5 already handles everything more than fast enough without any waiting. Click and it's there, no frustration or lag. The 7 and 8 even have faster cpu's so no worries on that front.
Just some advice if you buy for your mother (my mother has a Redmi Note 5 pro also, guess how that happened ). What I did was order a glass screen protector and some cases. I guess for 20 euro on Aliexpress you are more than settled. Giving her the phone is really nice but giving it completely protected and usable is a must and she will really like that.
Redmi Note 8 pro or Mi 9 lite
I followed the above recommendations and bought a Redmi note 8
It arrived this week
It's great! She's gonna love it!
(Unfortunately I got it from an AliExpress seller meaning I was hit for another chunk of vat - should have bought it from eglobalcentral where I got my f1; they ship from within the eu)
Thanks for the advice peeps!
Interesting to note the feel of it - felt at least as well put together as my pocophone. Obviously a tiny bit of lag noticeable here and there, but it was minimal - though I saved it the burden of trying PUBG on it!
fones €240
Realme note 5 pro
Nokia 6.x
Mi8
xiaomi A3 (but ram is only 4gb , however xiaomi Cc9e chinese version has 6gb, camera result is not so good)
y7 (amazing camera)
and ofcourse
Galaxy M30 ! (or if you can go €300) (m30s 6/128 variant is something you should seriously check out)
Go with Redmi Note 8 Pro
As i strongly believe she doesn't require anything like Snapdragon 845

K20 or poco f1 which should i go for?

well i am planning to buy a new phone and bit confused between k20 and poco f1. Though k20 has new features better screen and cameras and all but the development seems to be very less whereas poco has an amazing development and i love flashing and testing roms and stuff.
So should i go with k20 or pick the poco f1. My budget is fixed to 20k.
Will the k20 get better development like roms and stuff or should i go for poco f1..
At the moment, neither.
K30 is soon to be released.
Which means prices will drop.
I have the poco, my wife has m9t (k20). In every aspect except the processor, my wife's is better. The thing that stands out the most, is the screen. I hate poco's notch.
So if you are a heavy 3d gamer/compulsive flasher (i am) go for the poco.
In any other case go for k20
If you cannot wait then definitely Poco is the best but if you can wait then wait for new 5G phones hitting the market and invest a good amount on oneplus or xiaomi to get the best of available devices.
and what about the k20's development.
Being an Mi phone i expected it to have a good development from start but don't see that.
It feels like my realme 3 pro has more roms than k20 to try out.
why is that so?
And also one more thing i saw as on specs that 730 has newer kryo 470 whereas 845 has kryo 385.
So that does mean that 730 should get better results on cpu front if not better than atleast around 845.
As far as the gpu go i know Adreno 630 will perform bwtter than 618 for sure.
Also one of my friend has poco f1 and he says the display quality is really bad in poco and he has got yello spot issue in just 8 months of usage and also he feels that the phone gets hot really hot when playing pubg and doesn't really look like it has liquid cooling or something.
wait till the k20 pro price drops a bit or better save and wait for k30.

Poco F1 or Redmi ?

I know, on paper, its no contest, But I am trying to decide between Redmi Note 8 and Poco F1. The difference between them is only £40
These are the important factors for me, the first 4 are must haves.
Good Battery life
Good Custom ROM support (now and future)
Headphone socket
SD Card
Notification LED
Reasonable Screen
Reasonable performance, (no gaming and was content with Redmi 5 Pro 4Gb Snapdrgon 636 until it broke)
I know the Poco F1 is much higher spec, but I dont really like the look (ugly cut out at the top and big bezel at the bottom). Plus because Redmi 8 is newer, I thought maybe better support for custom roms, in the future.
What do you think ?
I just bought my mum a Redmi note 8. Gotta say, it's a really nice phone for the price. She loves it
The F1 beats it pretty much all round though - note 8 has (arguably) slightly better battery life, the ir blaster is a nice gimmick and you can get an NFC version of the note 8 (a feature which I really miss), though that one doesn't have a notification light
I'd suggest you wait a couple of months for the note 9, but I suspect you'd still be better getting an F1!
The Poco F1 wins on nearly every spec. CPU,Graphics, BT, Memory, etc. The only problem with it, is that huge notch, large chin and bezels scream 2018 (in my mind).
Thanks for letting me know about the Redmi Note 9, seems like its imminent
My fear is that all Redmi phones will follow the Redmit 8 pro and have a mediatek chipset, rumoured below. That will kill chance of custom roms,. noones interested developing for Mediatek,

That's true, that the note 8 pro has a mediatek soc, but it's supposed to be very good. If rooting is your thing (used to be mine but I just don't have time these days - plus I can live with MIUI on my f1)
Still it will be outperformed by the F1, plus the RN 8pro will likely cost a good bit more than the F1
The F1 is not likely to get more first party firmware upgrades though. If rooting is your thing, get an f1 and have fun for as long as the battery lasts (the specs should hold up for 3 or 4 years)
Or save up and get the F2 when it launches (assuming it's not a turkey)
I usually always go for function over looks. Just abit background, it was my Redmi Note 5 pro *(Whyred) which recently died on me. Its a 636 Chipset and had 4Gb of RAM. And for me, I had zero performance issues with it for 18 months. I guess I am a light user. Thats why, on balance the Redmi 8 might be better for me (looks etc).
Just a quick one, no definites of course, but the Redmi note 9 seems imminent ? i.e March ish ?
I do get what you are saying about custom roms and time. However, I dont mind,

Poco X2 would be a great choice for you.:good:
Redmi note8 pro is on MediaTek Gaming chip! with more Ram,
both are on LCD
however poco has advantage of many Custom roms! kernels etc where i don't think with note 8 pro you will enjoy this !
check xda forums for note 8 pro for custom roms and kernel status!
Kcal is must on lcd to to fix color saturation!

Advice Please! Is POCO F1 Armored Version 8GB 256GB good option for INR 16999/-?

POCO F1 Armored Version 8GB 256GB is available for INR 16999/- now.
I can get it for Rs. 12,299 with exchange of my old phone.
I am wondering if it's still a good phone in February 2020?
Would really appreciate your suggestion. Thanks!
Good budget phone. Becoz there is better soc now.
If you wait, in short time, Mi 10 Pro will be released.
I think that's great value (about €220 before trade in?)
Mi 10 pro will be expensive, but may lead to some further price reductions - I wouldn't have thought you'd get such a high spec F1 much cheaper though
Go for it
That's an amazing price. Just buy it

If you don't mind an okayish display and a big notch, this is the phone to get at this price point
Pros : Flagship SOC (crazy fast for EVERYTHING), rear fingerprint is a plus, fast charge, one of the most developer-supported devices on the earth, really good price point now, several gcam versions support, miui cam app via ANX cam.
Cons : Big-fat-ugly notch, average LCD hence color and brightness sub par, touch issues, slowly fading support due to latest xiaomi devices being handed to Poco F1 devs, sanity has almost stopped GCAM support.
Apart from these, plastic body is user-taste
I would say there are better options in this proce range because we hardly need crazy-fast speed during day-to-day usage, we look at the screen all the time so best screen is needed.
Hope this helps.
At this price, I advise you to buy it.

@rajeshkoshti A few phones with nice screens there. I see the way you're thinking (albeit each has one or more weaknesses, often the camera, and though the F1 isn't perfect on that score, it's not at all bad especially with a gcam to your taste)
Just to say though, to hit the same price point you'd have to look for a 1+ or Samsung flagship from more than one generation back - remember, the F1 itself is a budget flagship from nearly 18 months ago
Bear in mind also that the F1 in question is top of the F1 range
Have to say, I'd still go for the F1, but it's good to have options!

It will last surely for around 3-4 years . S845 and 8 gb ram is sufficient. Even s625 devices are okay for a normal user.
I have an Armoured edition poco, i advise you to go for normal version. You wont find a good case for armored one.
If you are using without a case go for armored edition. Its a beauty
Though if you have the armoured edition, you don't really need a case, surely?
In relation to updates, I wouldn't be so sure. Pocophone is a bit of an unknown quantity - Xiaomi (from my very limited experience) seem to be good about supporting their (huge) range of devices for a good few updates, but I've read concerns that the F1 may not get such longer-term love. However in a post-Treble world I'd naively hope developers will be able to keep it current for a few years yet
if you are a camera fan, forget poco f1, mi a2 has a far better camera.
