MIUI 12 strange battery drain - Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Questions & Answers

I have noticed that the MIUI 12 version 12.0.1 would have a strangely fast battery drain overall on my mi note 10 lite which I recently purchased. An update for the MIUI 12.02 just rolled in today and has appeared to be a bit kinder on the battery life. Anyone else having battery related issues with MIUI 12 on their mi note 10 lite ? I am really thinking about flashing back to MIUI 11 once my bootloader can be unlocked tomorrow.

I debloated my phone yesterday from all the annoying services of Google as well as Xiaomi ones and particularly the Joyose which is the telemetry and ad service and my battery life has sky rocketed! I will upload screwnshots of the usage shortly.

Allow me also mention that I am on miui 12.0.3 and have also restricted the applications that tend to autostart for no reason. Chrome in particular I uninstalled since it seemed to autostart for no reason frequently.

Same issue on miui 12.0.2
Bought this phone some days ago & battery is not performing as well as it should be considering the phone holds a memoth battery.

Indeed it is pretty strange but in my case de bloating my phone and disabling quite a few Google services helped me. My only issue is that the Other apps power consumption just does not make sense for me being more than 10% which would be the case for my old redmi note 7. Anyways it might be due to dirty flashing although I have factory reset my phone through TWRP the last time I flashed MIUI 12 12.0.3 (xiaomi.eu that is). I don't really want to go back to miui 11.0.5 which seems to be the best miui version battery wise due to some miui 12 features that I like but if no fixes are presented to this on future miui 12 updates I might just have to refrain to flashing miui 11...

Well, I am on MIUI 10 for some time now, and I noticed the same thing on latest beta update. Previous update was better 8.12.13.

But the problem is i saw nothing on this issue online so im aftaid they wont fix it bacuse they dont know about it
I've seen quite a few post online about poor battery life & other data/Bluetooth issues after updating to emui 10, for both Mate 20 Pro & P30 Pro.
I used the files posted by dog121 (10.0.0.155) but battery life is still great for me as it was on 9.1
I'm sure Huawei will fix the issue with the official (stable) release.

Same problem here, I'm in version 10.0.0.180 but the battery life is still very poor. Disappointing!!!

Mine honestly doesn't have any problem with battery life and i'm on a10 still got 6-7 hours screen on time within 16-20 hours of usage and i'm a really heavy user
No difference noted on battery life since I updated from android 9 to 10 on my Mate 20 Pro...
.
Right for me (mate 20) it was great on version 10.0.0.155 but after the update to 10.0.0.180 battery life is very poor
I'm on A10 with 158 version and have actually observed improvements over version 9.
I am on 180 and battery life sucks. After 3 hours on 60%.
Bought this phone for the exceptional battery life.
Not pleased...
Go to System --> Battery --> Battery Usage to find out what's consuming your power so much. It certainly isn't normal for EMUI 10
For me battery is much better - v. 181
After I updated to .180, my battery is phenomenal. Gained almost 20%, its back to being a 2-day battery phone.
10.0.0.182 - no visible difference.
I will say though that I wiped out the cache partition and it took a few days to calibrate. I did the same as on EMUI 9.1, disable a bunch of system apps, particularly PowerGenie.
Was hoping for better behavior in EMUI 10 but it still stupidly kills apps and notifications...so it's gone.
Which version of firmware was the best in battery life?

question , stable miui 12 vs xiaomi.eu vs miuimix battery life

So I just got the new miui update, however I'm noticing left screen on time compared to miui 11, so I was wondering if it was worth it to switch to xiqomi.eu or miuimix , and whether itll have any significant impact on battery
Is anyone using either of the two roms could post some screenshots of screen on time that would be great

Question Mi 11X Pro(Haydnin) Overheating in Xiaomi.eu ROM?

Hi, I flashed Xiaomi.eu on my Mi 11X Pro but due to some reason it overheats a lot can anyone who has flashed Eu in Mi 11X Pro tell me if same happens with them as well.
Are you using Stable or Dev build. I noticed that overheating issue were reduced in recently Dev builds.
I tried both builds stable and beta the device overheats in both.
@termination5646 what are the advantages of using EU ROM. Also, how did you disable NFC via adb? Thanks!!
Mostly more features and MIUI dialer and Messages. Battery life is same as the Global ROM. Ram management is a little bit better. To disable NFC use the App Inspector to get package name and then uninstall it via ADB (NFC service). The speakers sound quality is noticeably better and louder. Downside is that it takes a little bit more time to charge nothing huge around 10 minutes more. Also you cannot use Google Ambient Display while charging and Google Discover also has issues. Other than that everything is fine. Also it does heat up a little more than it does in the Global ROM again nothing huge just a little bit. Overall device is smoother than Global. Performance in benchmarks is also similar. Also there's a chance that some of these problems might not be there in the stable Xiaomi.eu build. I am on the weekly beta.

Hey bro,
I just bought this phone and I'm thinking of installing the EU rom. What's your impression so far of the EU rom? Is it worth installing over the default Indian version that comes with the phone? Do you receive OTA updates? If yes, then I'm guessing you receive EU updates. Do we have to remove the NFC services again when an update comes?
Is the EU rom worth the headache?

Please share your experience with MiUI 12.5

Hi, some curtana(redmi note 9s/9 pro(india)) phones received the MiUi 12.5 update, and since its possible to change from Global to EEA/India/whatever can you provide feedback on the user experience?
Is it stable?
Battery drain?
Dual sim working, Second Space?
Memory management?
What apps could you remove/disable?
Nothing special ram management is worst and its laggy when you try to use phone faster then normal and battery drain is screen on 7-8 hours
Like in miui 11 battery gives me screen on 12-16 hours
Hey,
a few years ago Cyangogenmod was my absolute favorite. But then I learned to love MIUI. With the latest 12.5 xiaomi eu insalled on miatoll you could also throw your phone into the bin. Absolutely slow, laggy and the best stuff for "anti Xiaomi" fans. I cannot understand how xiaomi could mess up their os that bad.
I am now on GSI. Best choise.
