hi everyone Sorry for my English. I have a mi 8 lite that I wanted to root to install a custom rom. And after unlocking the bootloader, I end up with a phone that has anti rollback protection. I try to install the twrp with great difficulty which I succeed but with a not clear display and the touch screen does not work. So I want to go back to a stock rom. But here I am still stuck. Cannot install a rom. That errors on miflash.

You have to be more specific in the description of your problem. What rom was you using? What twrp did you use? Did you follow the exactly instructions on twrp topic?
I had some problems trying twrp some time ago, then I'd tried orange fox recovery and it worked perfectly on my mi 8 lite global back on miui 9. Now I'm on 12.0.3 update and it's still running fine.

Thank you for the answer. The problem is that my phone starts up with a black screen, even in fastboot. According to the tutorials, this is normal. For the twrp I took it from this page: https://tech-mizan.blogspot.com/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-8-lite-twrp-recovery.html
and followed the instructions outlined. Then I tried others. But this display problem is still present. I will try orange fox. Did you install it in fastboot or in recovery? Actually I just wanna go back to a stock

If all you need is to go back to stock, you can flash stock rom with xiaomi ADB fastboot tools. This java software can download correct rom from xiaomi for your device, and flash it in fastboot. You can download it from here:

After that, I advise you to load some custom recovery (look in dev section here on XDA) and install magisk to root your phone.

TWRP ask password, why? RN3P Kenzo

Hello guys. I have a RN3P with unlocked bootloader and when I install the TWRP, TWRP asked the password. I hit "cancel" but not I was unable to access the internal data also could not get root 'cause had no data in memory. the TWRP unable to access the memory. I tried several passwords "defalut_password" but without success.
When restarted the unit entered BRICK. I had to give flash another ROM by MiFlash for RN3P work again.
You could give me a good tutorial?

Try entering your phone password. If your phone password was a pattern, enter the password in terms of numbers-

i had the same problem.
Solved with Flashing Stable Miui8 Version to Lollipop in MiFlasher alias edl mode.
Then Unlocked the Bootloader and installed twrp.
At this point iam free from the Password quest.
Now i m able to run the Epic Rom.

Yes to both, at least a week and a mi account and also you need mobile data because Xiaomi won't let request a BL unlock with WiFi for some reason

Redmi 8a magisk rooting problem

Hello, I am having a problem trying to install magisk on my Redmi 8a. My MIUI version is MIUI Global 10.3.3 | Stable 10.3.3.0(PCPMIXM). I've been exploring xda forums and whatnot to figure out how to install a Custom Recovery. Currently I have Orangefox so we are good there. The issue I am having has to do with a powershell command not working.
adb shell dd if=/dev/block/by-name/boot of=/sdcard/boot.img
I've been following a youtube guide titled How to Root Xiaomi Redmi 8A (Patch Boot.Img & Install Magisk) by a user named Ben Kone.
Yes I have adb drivers, powershell worked when I was getting my Custom Recovery Orangefox. If anyone knows why the command isn't working I would love to hear, or if someone knows an alternative way root with magisk.

i have similar problems. I had MIUI 11 with android 9, I installed a recovery update to android 10 with MIUI 11.
I have the bootloader unlocked, I have the recovery orange fox.
When I tried to install magisk by recovery, I couldn't do it. I tried different ways. Tried SuperSu, Tried ADB with modified boot.img file but nothing works.
Apparently the phone does not have ramdisk and therefore I cannot install it. I am supposed to modify the recovery.img file to install by ADB, but I don't know how to back it up.
I will try to go back to android 9 to see if I can root the phone.
I have rooted and changed from rom to several xiaomi, the last ones were a note 5 pro and a redmi 7, and everything worked fine, but my redmi 8a is giving me headaches.

Mi pad 1 stuck in bootloop

Day before yesterday i was trying to flash rom to update (mi pad 1 )4.4 to lollipop version and I’ve did everything exactly same like tutorial first rooted with update.zip to activate twrp then flash custom rom but it got error in middle due to this when I rebooted the device it stuck on logo . I’ve flashed recovery firmware by mi flashing tool it goes 100% in bootloader mode but still stuck on logo. Any method to back to normal?

Nope I’ve just flashed different normal fastboot roms . Only can access fastboot mode and recovery mode even restarting stuck on mi logo don’t know when it gonna be fixed

BTW which rom did you flash cuz miui never released fastboot rom for lolipop

EDIT:fastboot ROMs? Never know that it existed for mi pad.
1. Download Mi PC suite and connect it in fastboot mode.
If everything go normal then it will automatically detect the respective ROM.
Check the screenshot below.

2. Just click on Flash device.
Now if all the things are normal it will reboot normally.

Question [EMERGENCY] Need a TWRP backup of Indian Mi 11X Pro

Hello everyone! I am in quite a bit of trouble after trying to flash xiaomi.eu rom on my Indian Mi11X Pro. I accidentally flashed everything from the EU rom and that seems to have bricked my phone. When I tried flashing the stock rom, I get a crc error. Even if I force flash it, it always boots into fastboot. Tried downloading multiple time as well. Did not help. The firmware is probably messed.
I did have a TWRP backup made but that got erased accidentally when my sdcard was wiped.
If any of you have an Indian Mi11X Pro, PLEASE upload a backup of super partition from twrp.
Here is what I am looking for:

How did you manage to root it and which twrp did you install? I'm asking because I have the same phone and looking to root and install twrp.
You dont need to root your device to install twrp. You do need an unlocked bootloader though. Once your bootloder is unlocked, just follow instructions from here.
