HiSuite - How to offline update rom? - Huawei Nova 2i (Mate 10 Lite / Honor 9i) Guides, N

Huawei stopped giving bootloader code, my last option is to use the DC-Unlocker.
The problem is it won't work with the latest security patch of EMUI 8.
So I'm trying to rollback my Huawei Nova 2i to the possible old version of EMUI to make the DC-Unlocker work. I used HiSuite 10.00502, HiSuite Proxy, and Firmware Finder.
The problem is I have a minimal connection to download the Full-OTA one by one. Sometimes it keeps failing to install the downloaded ROM for some unknown reason and keeps deleting the downloaded file.
So, I can download the specific file of ROM but I don't know if it is possible to install it offline using the HiSuite.

Debrand Honor 7 Chinese version (PLK-TL01H) to European Version (PLK-L01)

Hi,
I'm trying to debrand my chinese version of Huawei Honor 7 (PLK-TL01H) to European Version (PLK-L01).
As i'm already in Marshmallow version, i should do the following:
1) Downgrade to Android 5.0 PLK-TL01H B190
2) Root the phone thanks to honor 7 MultiTool
3) Flash PLK-L01 B180 version via 3btn force update
4) Flash PLK-L01 B370 version via force update.
I'm trying to rollback (first step) with the file update.app that is B190 version. But i'm already struggling:
1) Force update with *#*#2846579#*#*->select Software Upgrade->select SDCard Upgrade
2) Force update using local update option in settings doesn't work (the option is not available)
3) 3btn give me access to TWRP and not to Force update option (recovery)
I also tried to flash stock recovery, then force update works but stuck at 5% with no error message.
Any idea how to rollback to B190?
Thanks,
Flash the stock recovery of B370 (I assumed it's your current rom) by using "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" command.
After that, downgrade to B300 and install PLK-TL01H B190 (if your brand is not plk-l01). If it's, first you need to install PLK-L01 B180.
Hi,
can you just be a bit more specific and detail me the steps and how to do? Thank you,

Does flashing stock recovery and force updating gets stuck at 5% using 3 button method?
If yes, I had the same problem, I booted into Android and used the *#*#xxxxxx#*#* method and it worked ok.
May be you can give that a try....

more specific would help.

Unable to update firmware from B100

I'm not sure if I've missed something or just not understanding something - (a very high chance of both here ), but I am unable to update from the stock B100 firmware over wifi or 4G - system update never finds anything.
Using FF I can see all the firmware, select one and enable the proxy in the wifi connection - then system updates will find it, download but fail to install as it fails with Authentication Error - this happens on all OTA or full OTA updates.
I am rooted with unlocked bootloader, using TWRP I have tried to download the firmware in FF then flash the update.zip in TWRP, which fails with error 9, assertion failed.
So - do I need to wait for even longer(!) to have the firmware approved? Or how do I install the firmware offline?
Check Firmware Access in FF always fails, so presumably why this never authenticates
Model: STF-L09
Build: STF-L09C432B100
Thanks
You will definitely need the stock recovery to get OTA updates working (also for FF). Flashing the zip files in TWRP won't work either.
I don't know which version you tried with FF, but B150 should be approved for your model. So I would suggest you to flash stock recovery and try installing B150.

Ah so presumably it's blocking the OTA update because it detects non standard recovery.. if I flash standard recovery do I need to reset and wipe?
Goes off to search for where to find standard recovery..
No you don't need to wipe anything.
You can extract the recovery from the update.zip with Huawei update extractor.

About this new update..

My phone is still running on Android 9 with march security patch. I received an update prompt saying that it has May 2020 patch (1.33Gb size) . I would love to get the latest security patch but not the Android 10. With that file size, I think it contains android 10 as well, is that correct?
Yes and you won't receive any more security patch updates for Android 9.
All newer builds of the stock rom are android 10
Is it possible to disable automatic update from android 9 to 10? Not to download android 10. For example, for Huawei is possible via ADB. I have xiaomi mi a3 it worked fine for me 9 and as installed 10 is a massacre.

Yes by unlocking bootloader you won't receive any official update from Xiaomi/Google
Then flash latest V10.3.16.0.PFQMIXM (Android 9)

Unlocked bootloader will NOT prevent official OTA update from downloading and installing. OTA won't be installed if it fails verification of boot or system partition (Magisk or TWRP installed, system partition mounted as R/W, etc.).
But has anyone received this update in the Global version?

How to get automatic OTA update back ?

Hi guys,
I tried CN version of MIUI but i don't receive SMS on this rom version... so i flashed back MIUI EEA version 11 with official Miflash way but the update app don't see any update available...
So i'm stuck on MIUI 11 and i don't know how to get my phone back to vanilla ROM.
My bootloader is actually unlocked but i already had tried to lock it by selecting the "relock bootloader" in MiFlash and same result "no update available" in MIUI update app.
Download the latest system update package of EEA, install the update manually

Updating My Firmware

Hi, I am currently the owner of the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie ZD553KL. Recently I discovered that I can install android version 9 on my phone (currently i have android version 7). But whatever I tried, I could not install the latest android version. I installed the zip file from the official site. I might be possible I tried in the past to unlock the bootloader, but that did not worked. I think this is the issue. I tried several ways to install the zip file, like being in the boot menu, whith fastboot and my pc etc. Does anyone knows a way how to install the latest android version? Cause android version 7 just is not good enough for me.
